Coffee Republic in Medway

Worst coffee place ever! The tea was like dirty dish water and the coffee was so bad my friend had to put like 5 sugars in it. It was half term so it was more busy but there were kids just running around all over the place and the blender they use is so loud, you can't talk over it! Waste of time and money! DON'T GO THERE! The muffins were alright.

Toilet filthy, no toilet roll or hand towels available so I had to go and ask for someone to provide some, had a sriracha chicken panini which was vile, dry bread, tasteless cheese, no other sauce aside from a smattering of the sriracha - surely you would mix with mayo or something to compliment? Not particularly hot considering how long it took to heat up, and far too expensive. The coffee freezer I had was OK though, stick to cold drink options and you might have a better experience.

Awful cheese. I bought a BBQ chicken panini. I have to say the chicken was lovely and moist and tasty. What was not nice was the cheese that was used. It tasted.. sweaty and was deeply unpleasant. It seemed like only the chicken had been marinaded in the BBQ sauce, rather than any sauce being in the panini. I could be wrong about that but if it had sauce in there, I could barely taste it. It was a real shame as I was so happy to find a panini in Chatham. Staff were lovely. Atmosphere was great. Just the sandwich cheese was the worst. Please change it.

They were not busy, ordered toasted sandwiches, eventually arrived warm and only toasted one side, pretty poor a quiet time, staff need to up there game

Good coffee. Spacious seating area. Relaxed atmosphere. When I visited it was cash only, normally this would have put me off as I don't normally carry cash, it suited on this occasion. We will be back.

Too crowded hence long wait . If its raining then your lucky to get a seat inside

I come here frequently because it’s a huge space and there are always tables The coffee used to be excellent what Sam worked here Since then the coffee costs more and really poor quality and watery So it you want space, wifi is hit and miss but coffee is expensive and not worth it for the price

My wife and I were looking for a new place to get our coffee and we tried CR Chatham. Very impressed with the service and food. We will try it again and feel confident we will enjoy our coffee just as much as the 1st time.

Great place for coffee and cakes, plenty of seating area inside and outside, great location in town for you shopping breaks lol. Staff all amazing helpful and friendly.

Nice large coffee shop in the centre of Chatham. Popular with locals and had WiFi so can grab a coffee and work here too.

It's been awhile since my last review, thought I'd update. The staff are still rushed off their feet. The drinks are still amazing. Thank you staff for looking after my left bag. Your black cherry hot chocolate is wow yummy 😋.

A bustling coffee shop that serves decent hot coffee, I had a latte and was pleasantly surprised at how hot it was. Even when busy the staff work well and get through queues quickly and with minimal fuss.

A bit upset they never had the drink that I wanted. But overall good

We use this place almost daily with work, the drinks are freshly made and of good quality however it is the staff that make this place, they are all fun, good humoured, well mannered, professional and friendly. I haven't ever eaten here so the rating is purely on drinks and the ladies who work here

Sandwich was dry despite it saying they are made fresh daily on site don't think I will visit again.

Came here for a coffee with my friend whilst having a look at the shops. My friend is allergic to nuts, she asked is the freezers contain nuts and was met with a rude response from the worker with multi colour patches of hair (i assume manager). She was extremely abrupt and when my friend asked if there are traces she said “we don’t put nuts in it, there might not be nuts in the cream” without even checking. My friend decided she did not want to give them anymore of her money, as she had also purchased a sausage toastie (which after being toasted was slimey). I also had a caesar wrap which smelt of gone off cucumber and was extremely slimey. Will not return. Update: Managers name is Donna.

Fabulous coffee. Went in with small grandson, plenty of space for pushchair and has a loo! Big fill on toasties, pity they didn't do plain cheese as had to buy cheese/ham and take the ham out

We went into the shop for a coffee and bite to eat, it was really warm in the shop it wasn't only us who said how hot it was in the shop other people was aswell even the assistant and she asked her manager for the air conditioning to be put on and she said no incase her manager came out in.

Lovely accessible space (though didn't use the bathroom). Sadly the drinks in the fridge weren't cold and although it was really warm, they don't turn the heating on til midday.

Very friendly staff, always welcoming. However, meal and snack deals no longer available so just a coffee from now on. Shame. I know lots of people using wetherspoons instead now.

I was disappointed. I had a flat white that was fine,and my husband had a latte. The latte tasted burnt and my husband didnt drink it. Also maybe they could do with an extra pair of hands as, I had to wipe the table and chairs before we sat down. I'd understand if it was really busy but, it wasn't. Such a shame as I used this place every time I visited to the high Street. The staff were polite.

I don't usually go to Coffee Republic. In fact I very rarely visit Chatham, but today I was there and I needed a quick bite to eat and a drink and it was really nice. The Spiced Chai Latte was perfect ( even though it was in a mug rather a tall glass) and the Falafel Wrap with Mediterranean Vegetables was very tasty.

One guy serving and other staff out back. There is always a queue in this branch but this long on a Saturday morning? Peak time surely. I won’t be coming back. Also the milk is help yourself in jugs on the side for everyone to touch - not ideal in the midst of a pandemic!

Easily the best coffee in the High Steet! Been walking past Coffee Repeblic for a year and finally set foot for the first time this week for a caffeine hit. I was super impressed not only by the coffee, but also food quality (tuna melt toastie - yum) and really friendly service! Have now been twice in the same week and will definitely continue to stop by when in town. Want to give a particular mention to Sam who makes the best flat whites and gives coffee the attention it deserves! He is a huge credit to the team :)

Asked for pasta , they gave me a wrap like for sharwarma not tasty Used to think pasta was same as spaghetti until then

Coffees not bad, food OK, not badly priced. Located in the centre of Chatham this is a handy place for a break when shopping.

Love this coffee shop and glad to have a republic in medway. Just a shame they don't do dairy-alternative milks!

Love this place. Have never been here before and really enjoyed my first time drinking coffee and eating Paninis at this place. Definitely will be coming back soon. Coffee was delicious. The size of the cups has amazed me, perfect sized mugs of coffee. Tuna, melted cheese sandwich was delicious. Clean place. Wc could be a bit updated but it is ok 😊

Beautiful coffee in a decent sized mug chilled vibe tho the unwashed man wandering in handling the food then walking out was a bit off putting.

I used to use this coffee shop regularly. But hadn’t been there for over a year and it now has different staff and manager. The toilet is directly off the restaurant and utterly vile and filthy and clearly hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The cafe was also dirty and there was food all over the floor under tables that were sticky. The cafe wasn’t busy yet the staff members sat talking at a table whilst the cafe remained dirty and unkempt. The younger staff member had black painted nails that were at least an inch long. Very unhygienic and I thought not regulation with food prepping. Won’t be going back.

Went to coffee republic in Chatham on Saturday just before 5pm. Ordered 3 coffees and wrap.never been asked if I’m eating in or taking away, I have to asked if I will get plate for my food. Drinks were served in takeaway cups even though we were eating and drinking in. When drinks were made , we were shouted at to come and pick them up. Coffee republic change your attitude towards your customer or you’ll lose them all

Clean and tidy, friendly staff. Had to point out about an allergy issue as toasted sandwiches were mixed up, fortunately no allergic reaction. Dealt with very promptly and efficiently, offered a full refund

Do not get the cheese and pulled pork panini! I got food poisoning from it. I'm very ill. Sick. Dioreah. The lot. Iced caramel latte was pretty horrendous too. Let down to the franchise and name. Will not go to this branch again!

Service really slow, mug looked like it could have done with a good bleaching. Got served my coffee eventually and went to pick a table by the window,whilst waiting for friends. Both the table and the chairs had what I surmise to have been a chocolate muffin scattered all over them. I asked a member of staff if she could wipe the table down for me, which they did but just wiped all of the cake remnants straight onto the floor.

We stoped off for a coffee, I had hot chocolate, service was good, very friendly and welcoming. We sat outside as it was a lovely warm afternoon. Unfortunately the wind decided to grab one of the parasols set up over a nearby table and slam it into our table, my husband ended up with black coffee in his lap. The staff were very quick to offer assistance and took all the parasols down to avoid it happening again. The incident was dealt with quickly and professionally. My husband was fine. I think the parasol bases could to with being heavyer and perhaps without wheels as I feel it was the wheels that caused it to be unstable.

Was just a take away coffee and luxury hot chocolate but staff were brilliant with looking up ingredients for the items that went with the hot chocolate to make sure they were wheat free/Gluten free.

It's BEST Coffee House on the Chatham High Street. I drink coffe only here and i don't regret it.
