Great little place for lunch. Lovely menu and staff very friendly. Food was very good. Better food than the Rainham venue. Will certainly visit again.

We visited this Cafe Nucleus Lounge (there are several Cafe Nucleus around the area) when in the area / Chatham and for a bite to eat with teas and coffees. The staff are friendly, polite and attentive and the cafe seems to be frequented by nice friendly local people, who the staff seemed to know fairly well. The brunch / food was hot and tasty and tables were clean and tidy. Parking is available at a number of places close by. In the morning, was a mixture of both young and older people inside.

This oasis is just off  Chatham High Street. The venue has a tropical garden in front, leading to the restaurant, with seating areas which would be an exotic setting to eat in especially in the summer. There are a few car parks within walking distance and the charges are acceptable. The staff were pleasant, the service good and the food tasty. Prices are not extortionate but not the cheapest either.  This establishment is worth popping in for a bite to eat especially on a nice, sunny, dry day.

Came in for a quick pit shop with my young family and it was very relaxing. Excellent customer service - very friend. A lot of choice on the menu. Cakes ordered went down very nicely and were throughly enjoyed. Good value for money.

I came here for a coffee and cake with my toddler and I really recommend it. The interior is really funky and I received exceptional customer service. The cafe was really toddler friendly and I was given lots of crayons and books to keep my toddler amused. Anita and Aimee were also really nice and friendly. Thank you:)

I went here yesterday it was lovely it was very clean the staff wore masks and sanitised chairs and tables the atmosphere was really good you literally feel you are not in Chatham , the food was lovely would highly recommend

Great spot, great good and ambiance. You wouldnt think you are in Chatham infact its too good for chatham! Will return. Eggs Benedict was spot on the staff are profesh and attentive.

Excellent venue for socialising, entertaining, relaxing. Gentle unobtrusive music, styled fashioned upholstery in a lounge setting.

As part of a charity event today I spent nearly 5 hours at this lovely cafe! The interior is great, cosy, beautiful coffee and really nice sitting areas and the food looked amazing as well although I did not eat here today. Alexandra & Anita (staff) were so friendly, hospitable, very helpful to us and lovely to chat to as well! Thank you and will definitely go back for lunch or afternoon coffee!!!

This is a lovely place. You dont feel youre in the heart of Chatham which to be fair isnt the most appealing place to be at times. The staff make the visit great, especially Anita x excellent place if your alone too!!

This is a lovely, relaxing, friendly cafe with very comfortable chairs & sofas. The coffees are really well made, cakes are delicious and sandwiches are tasty. Everything looks locally sourced and of a high quality - it certainly is very different to many of the other cafes in Chatham. I only wished that I worked in Chatham more often so I could visit for lunch

I’ve walked past this place a few times and always wanted to pop in and I’m so glad I did. A brilliant find with amazing cakes, stunning decor and friendly staff.Glad I found this place and I think it will now be my go to cafe when in Chatham!

I dont understand anyone that can put a bad review regarding this establishment, Anita and Annabel are the most professional, polite, welcoming people you could ever wish to be served by when you just want to sit and relax with a coffee and cake, they go out of ther way to make you feel welcome, my wife and i come back time and time again due to the excellent staff you employ, all our friends come here regularly too, so anyone who makes unfounded remarks should just trott off to McDonald's and stop lying about the experience that your staff give every customer, and we come here alot and have seen them in action, and we can say there customer service is next to none, so well done girls, you should all be proud.

Having reviewed Cafe Nucleus’ menu online I was really, really looking forward to my catch up lunch date with my friend, with the added bonus of a quick walk into town to do so.On arrival the menu was totally different to the online one. Querying this I was told I should have gone to the other one!Fair enough, my fault (even though I didn’t know there were two separate sites, and had googled the Chatham one).Anyway changed what I had been really looking forward to, to something (salt beef panini) on their menu - there are two completely different ones, should you note - and ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio. My friend ordered a hummus and Mediterranean veg sandwich and a latte.Twenty minutes later (!!!!!!!) I was finally told the Pinot Grigio was corked and would I like to order something else. I asked for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. So, apparently even though it is offered by the glass on the in-house menu, they only sell it by the bottle???By now I’m nearly dying of thirst and had been looking forward to a glass of wine, I went for the third rate option offered. I shouldn’t have bothered!In hindsight, we should have left at this point.At last the sandwiches were served. Mine was edible, but I wish it had been pre-cut as the cutlery I was given was filthy.My mate left half of hers as, according to her, it was disgustingly slimy. She did enjoy the latte.All in all, certainty won’t ever be going back.If you’re looking to try out Cafe Nucleus, do not go to the one in Chatham Town.

Sitting outside is great, can be a bit annoying enjoying other smoke ! Food is lovely, service is good , not cheap but what is these days

This is an oasis in the lower end of Chatham near the Pentagon. The staff are exceptional my friends and I call them the A team They are always friendly and welcoming

You always receive a warm welcome from the staff Annabel, Anita & Alex?. The "A" team. The food is excellent. All locally sourced, freshly prepared and cakes that are out of this world. They also cater for vegan diets. Also a large selection of alcoholic drinks if that is your choice. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff whether you are just having a tea or coffee or a meal. The atmosphere is so calm and relaxing. I visit at least once a week and you are treated like an old friend. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

I love coming here sitting in the big comfortable chairs in the window with a coffee and good book. The decor is beautifully done, making the whole atmosphere cosy and welcoming. The food and drink is very tasty and service is good. 100% well worth a visit.

Lovely hidden gem in Chatham high street. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food. would definitely recommend here and would visit here again.

I often use this venue to work, not only is the food good my main reason for returning are the staff and service.

I popped in to waste some time till my bus and the staff were so cheerful and helpful. The coffee was good, I had a croissant with mine. The cafe was clean and I was very impressed that the staff were constantly on the go, either serving or clearing. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. A little gem.

This cafe boasts a very cosy lounge feel to it .the decor is stylish but relaxed .the food is delicious and the atmosphere is great .worth a visit like the nucleas cafe at the other end of the high street wish I could say the same about the rest of chatham .

Amazing cafe, love the vibe and decorations, the staff are lovely, very nice, I'm an anxious cautious person but the atmosphere inside is just lovely, the music they play is calming, the food is also just so yummy.

lovely serving staff and tasty food, cannot believe this is actually in Chatham. What a find. It was bustling with people of all ages Will be visiting again. Nice feel about it.

I love this place wether I am on my own or with my husband. The coffees are GREAT and that do a range of good food. My favourite is a sausage bagel. My husband's favourite is from the free from gluten range.

I stopped in here with my sister to have lunch as we wanted to try somewhere different. We each had a panini and a hot drink. The food was delicious and it’s the best coffee I’ve had in Chatham. Such a nice cafe compared to others locally. It’s such a breath of fresh air, with comfortable seating and great music. Definitely recommend it and I’ll be heading back again soon.

Great place to get some lunch in a non hustle setting.

A nice place for a coffee and a sweet treat. The lunch menu had the usual suspects (sandwiches, baked potatoes, panini etc.) Reasonably priced for the portion sizes and speedy service from the staff. The cafe itself feels a bit cramped, especially towards the back near the toilet, but if you can manage to land a seat to towards towards the front it's a much more pleasant experience. I would recommend it as somewhere to check out if you're in Chatham and want to support a local enterprise.

Lovely little cafe off high street, sit in a nice chair, read the paper while you dink your coffee, and take in the surroundings .

It was a very cold day so we thought we would have a hot chocolate at Cafe Nucleus on Military Road. The hot chocolate, decor and staff were all great. I sat in a lovely comfy wingback seat by the front window which was great for my sore back and enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate. Can thoroughly recommend this fabulous cafe. It was our first visit and we will definitely be going back.

Visited for the first time after having had good experience at their other coffee shops in Rochester and in the High Street in Chatham. Once again we were not disappointed. Lovely decor, great atmosphere and a great coffee. It's a real bonus to find a fantastic place like this in Chatham. Keep up the good work. Will definitely be visiting again.

Have been lead to believe by the radio advert, that Cafe Nucleus was gluten free. Or at least some of it... I visited both Cafe's first the one on the High street. Very inviting, great ambiance set away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but when I went in and asked if they catered for coeliacs the chap behind the bar said no. I do not recommend you eat here. I asked if they had a clean area to prep the food, he said no. He said there was no separation of utensils, chiefs constantly use flour in the kitchen which is on their hands etc. So contamination is HIGHLY LIKELY! I couldn't even eat the vegetable soup. Nothing.... except what had come prepacked from an outside source! So advertising Gluten Free is wrong.

lovely coffee and cake, comfortable seats nice environment, quiet and relaxing. the staff are very nice and the coffee and cake is good. also paninis and bacon rolls. nice to sit and watch passers by. there is information leadlets about art ehibitions locallly.

Estuve con un amigo el martes 7 de marzo entre las 12:00 y las 3:00 pm. El café era relativamente tranquila (casi la mitad), así que había un montón de opciones para sentarse. Asientos parece ser una mezcla de cómodos sillones alrededor de mesitas de café y sillas de plástico por las mesas más grandes. El ambiente era acogedor, y el personal era amable.

Super amable y en general un lugar impresionante. Me encantó el chocolate caliente y panecillos de arándano y un gran servicio. También baño super moderno! Gracias por un gran respiro.

Visited this cafe on a Saturday afternoon after a long walk. What a find! Lovely atmosphere. Pleasant hardworking staff. Comfy seating. The coffee and cake were amazing. Prices on a par with other cafes in the area. Won't be going for coffee and cake anywhere else in Chatham. This cafe with its quirky artiness beats the lot! Definitely recommend.

Had a full English breakfast my partener hand samon her don had bacon roll the food was hot and fresh the service is friendly no one rushes you out the door have ben five times now service is the same every time and food. Is of same hihn standard.will keep going back if it stays the same

I've visited a few times here, always been a few customers in there and Service has been lovely each time!

Well after my old coffee shop was stopped by the local council from letting you sit outside I needed a new place to be able to relax outside with my beloved coffee.I thought i'd try this place and am so glad I did. The outside area is lovely and relaxing so much so you would never think your still in Chatham High Street.Staff are nice and service is great.I will be back.

I love the ambiance of Nucleus Cafe during the week; the staff are friendly and happy to adjust the menu slightly to please you, if they can. Also, it's a pleasant little oasis in Chatham high street. But...I would not recommend visiting on Saturday or Sunday as the outside area is taken over by heavy smokers which makes it impossible for others to enjoy.

I have used the Arts Hub safer times in the last couple of months and always found the staff approachable and friendly.The snacks and drinks etc available are similar to what can be obtained in nearby similar cafes. The seating is particularly relaxing and you could easily spend an hour with a nice coffee and a book.

I love Nucleus and have visited numerous times since discovering it. The baristas make a great soy latte and a very tasty mocha. All the staff are friendly and free WiFi is available. I love that Nucleus is environmentally conscious using hand towels as opposed to disposable napkins in their toilets.

A nice quiet little cafe in Chatham with one of the best afternoon tea i've had. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definetly visit visit again.
