Went with a colleague and he had the chicken wings and halloumi fries. I had the Burger and some dirty fries. Not amazing but not poor. Staff were friendly but didn’t come over to our table so was hard to get anything after our original order. Was rather expensive

We had two wheelchair users, and it was really hard getting into the place, as only one of the doors was opened, my daughter had difficulty getting the wheelchairs in, the place was empty, but staff just watched us trying to get in without offering assistance. Thankfully three men came to our rescue and helped by opening the other side of the door when we were ready to leave. It's a shame because everything else was good.

First time been there but I was really impressed... Yes it cost more than Witherspoon's but I didn't regret fish and chips and the pizza was something else 👌

Very disappointed. Expensive drinks, expensive food. Small portions, more like side dishes. some cold food had to be sent back. £6.90 for a pint of IPA? This isn't Covent Garden, it's Chatham.

Organised my friend's retirement do here. Staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful to me. Even giving my friend a complimentary lovely dessert. Thank you again. We will be back.

Love love love eating at this place, the quality of food is extremely highly and you may be lucky enough to get some free entertainment on a Friday or Saturday night.

Modern venue, but overpriced and noisy.

Food was nice however the service from staff is the worst I have ever experienced. Also check no one has started to eat the food before you as staff don't know table numbers. The main dish served on a side plate so tiny portions for the price. Service was so poor it was comical toward the end, after being brought food for other tables and having to tell the staff what was our food, they forgot the extra side of an onion ring on the burger. we ordered 2 children's strawberry ice cream after mains to be brought brownie we advised what we ordered and the staff insisted this was ours so to save another 5 mins arguing we took it (by this time my 5 year old wanted the brownie) she then relised and took the brownie from my 5 year old once he had already started to eat it and gave it to the correct table. We then asked for another brownie to which the manager advised we would be charged for it even thought they had forced it onto our table previously. It was only when we pointed out they have gave another table a dessert which my son had already started eating that they changed their mind, they didn't take the dessert back from the other table and they then gave us an onion ring 15 mins after pudding which is the extra side then forgot. Check your food hasn't been eaten by someone else before you eat.

Went there yesterday evening with my children for a meal. Ordered the food and after receiving one of the items was incorrect, not a big issue as the manager changed it for correct one. Then whilst sitting and eating our food, the lady who originally served us came over and was very rude in saying children are not permitted to stay here after 9pm. Considering I only ordered our food a short time ago and said to the waitress why was this not specified at the time of ordering to be told rudely well "that's how it is". The same waitress who I told got the order wrong to categorically deny I didn't make a mistake even though she clearly did. I understand mistakes can happen but the abrupt way she came over and spoke to me was shocking. The food quality also was not great, the wings ordered looked like they been heated over and over and were very dry. The only solace was the manager was a nice person. Will not be returning here in a hurry.

Onion rings were so greasy and overcooked, they were like crisps.

So came here with 2 people me and my partner had the burger and chips I did ask if I could have the mucky swine fries as a extra if I pay the extra but said I have to buy them separately when I'm not going to eat the chips that come with the meal. I can tell that the place has new ownership/management. They have turned the place upside down. The food is horrible ,service is poor even a truck stop is not this bad. The previous menu was top notch. Please bring back the streaking pig burget and the grilled wings and not the horrible food you are serving us. I used to be proud of bringing my family and friends but not amymore. This was the last time coming to pier 5

Food was really good. I would recommend the lemon chipotle chicken wings - the sauce was glazed very nicely over the wings. Staff were all friendly and welcoming as well.

The bar staff (bloke) working on the 03/02/24 at 13:00 was rude and not very helpful, went to order some food and what we tried to order they did not have it and when we asked what did you have he then said we have most stuff not Very helpful. The ladies that worked there before was very professional and happy to help.

Unfortunately, I have had to update (x2) my positive review. Went again today to check if anything changed, noticed the menu got updated...the wings are still a disappointment compared to previous ones. Still no taste, bland, we just dropped everything and left...Sorry, we're not coming back and cannot recommend the place anymore to friends like I did before. The staff were superb, no complaints there.

Heard good things. Unfortunately I must of drew the short straw. Had the Henry VIII burger meal. Am still recovering from 2 days of severe food poisoning. Would not go back. Food was terrible, no service and was given a dirty glass for a bottled beer.

I was sceptical at first, but when I was served and had the first bit, I must say wow ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, great job to the Chef and the staff are courteous, will definitely be goin again👌💯

Overpriced and food not as described, over £40 for a burger and fries, a separate portion of bacon fries, some haloumi fries, a lemonade, and one dessert So that's one main, 2 sides, one drink and one dessert. The burger was supposed to have chutney on it, mayo and a gherkin. It had nothing but lettuce tomato and cheese, The chocolate mousse made no mention of containing chilli, but it did and was supposed to come with a jug of cream. I'm not sure why cream with mousse but it didn't come with it. The haloumi fries were drizzled with mayo and chopped black olives and pomegranate seeds. Very odd combo. It's trying to be different and charging accordingly, but honestly, burger king burgers taste far better. Will not return.

The place is really nice but the food was absolutely terrible. Everything was cold and seemed old. Nobody came to check us out. If I wasn't that hungry I would've send the food back but I just let it slide this time. Will definitely not come back anytime soon. Would not recommend unless you only come for a beer.

Not a great atmosphere but the building does lend itself to this type of experience. The food is tasty with a good drinks selection.

Bar staff was great. Friendly and knowledgeble about their beer selection (very good beer selection) Food menu deserves a shout-out for being creative and daring to be different from the sameness of every other pub in the UK. There were loads of vegetarian options. Food was great. Tasty and well presented. We had a great afternoon and we'd definitivelly come back when in the area.

Food was poor - salad had wilted lettuce and the dressing was a grilled slice of lemon, garlic bread was greasy and soggy and the chicken skewers were tough. We went with a party of 17 and 5 of the 17 meal orders were incorrect, and 3 people were left without mains when they ran out of pizza dough - we had to chase up the food, as no one came to tell us. They had also run out of desserts when we tried to order. Front of house staff were helpful and friendly, but kitchen appeared to have no clue. Keep in mind we sat down at 5pm on a Saturday, so to run out of pizza and all desserts before 7pm feels like mismanagement. Overall a very poor experience and we won't be going back, at least, not for food. Avoid the food and stick to the drinks.

Food was dry, everything covered in chillis, no desserts, no pizzas then the pizza oven caught on fire??? Laughable honestly. Then made no effort to tell people they was out of certain foods, until waiting over 30 mins. Then said we’ll you was ordering so much we couldn’t tell you it was out of stock.

Shocking inedible food retuned the burger fish was even worse. Pea purée cold and inedible!!! Service unbelievably poor - chewing gum whilst serving food !!

Really enjoyed the food here, and the service was very speedy, but I must admit, it lacked a bit of atmosphere.

We booked a table here for a family birthday meal. Things did not start well when we had to get our own menus after a long wait being ignored. Unfortunately several items on the menu were unavailable so our choice was limited. The loaded fries were good but at £18.50 each ( the most I’ve ever paid for one) the burgers should have been far better and not served in stale buns. Overall impression is that Pier 5 is more of a drinking and music venue and need to work harder on their menu and food. We won’t be back though.

Awful, avoid. Went there for my daughters 16th birthday. The food was terrible and massively over priced. when the manager asked us if everything was ok, we voiced our concerns saying that the pizza was under cooked and the £22 ribs were basically cooked bones with no meat, dry with no flavour and we would like some sort of refunding, we was told 'well we are a business' and 'i dont appreciate how you're speaking to me'! Most of us who went had bad stomachs the next day. Don't waste your money here.

Lovely bar and restaurant with a small but very good modern menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. I had the chicken wings with dirty fries which was a great combo that I would recommend. My partner had a chicken burrito that was in her words sumptuous. This place is a little out of the away at the end of pier 5 in Chatham but you could do worse in seeking it out.

We arrived just as the kitchen was closing and they were generous enough to keep it open to allow us for dinner. The burger was incredible and they served the best loaded fries I have ever had. Definitely recommend :)

Revised review: I've decided to adjust my rating for this establishment due to a service issue I encountered. On a previous visit, I faced challenges with the service. Despite requesting utensils to enjoy my meal, they were not provided, and I ended up having to locate them myself. Moreover, the food menu has undergone changes since my last visit. Regrettably, the diverse and appealing array of dishes they used to offer is now notably limited. Considering these recent experiences, I find it difficult to wholeheartedly endorse this place as a recommended destination for a satisfying dining experience.

A bit livelier than the other local pub, the Ship & Trades although both being to the same brewery. There's music here, food anda good drinks choice with plenty of outdoor seating.

Disgusting, tables not cleared full of half eaten food,the seagulls were having a feast,the toilets were rank. And the bar staff seemed to be OK sitting outside smoking and drinking!

I had only discovered pier 5 recently and my family and I loved the food there when we went for dinner there. The staff were so kind and brought our drinks over to us and the food was presented so well, we didn’t even have to wait that long. Their wings were highly recommended and they did not disappoint! I will 100% be returning!

Amazing location but lacks in a personal service feel. The outdoor area is getting a bit skanky because they haven’t jet washed it for a couple of years and the outdoor furniture is getting bit worn. I had the burger which was terrible, well over cooked and dry.

Great place for a meal in the evening if ur after burgers or loaded fries for example the loaded fries are amazing some of the best I've ever tried but the burgers need some work the chicken rather dry but defo worth hitting up just for them mad loaded fries !!

Food pretty rubbish. Burger a little cold. Chips were alright. Beer pretty good. Wouldn't go out my way to come back.

Variable service, main was quick but kids desert was so slow we left after 20 minutes before it was delivered. Food that did come was good, tasty and hot. Shame portions were small for the price. “Large Loaded fries” wasn’t large. One of the burgers comes without chips for no apparent reason. It is in the menu if you notice but we didn’t. I really don’t like being asked for a tip BEFORE I’ve been served so I’d rate the payment system as flawed too. Pizza was lovely. Prices gone up a lot. £15.50 for a burger on its own is excessive.

Me and my boyfriend came here for some food. The chef was so lovely (Chef Emilija) assisting with all my dietary needs, going above and beyond to cater for this! The food was to perfection aswell as the presentation. Will definitely be going back!

Awful.....family of four visited today , two margarita pizzas ordered had no cheese on! Chips cold! Chicken wings cold! Garlic cheese bread cold and had a awful garnish think it was coriander on it?! Husbands fish and chips were ok, only good thing was waiter didn't question complaints and promptly gave us a refund on our food order. Obviously won't be returning.

on Friday we went to this restaurant with my partner for a lunch date and we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly and welcoming staff who were very attentive, we ordered the crispy chicken burgers, food arrived in a good time and it was amazing, very well presented and was cooked to perfection. definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be returning soon!

Went for Friday lunch- Most of the menu was unavailable, including sides like garlic bread and sandwiches , and salads. The food we did have was awful- the sharer was stale chewy bread, terrible value for money- £20 for a cut up stale chewy roll, 2 pieces of salami each and a bit of cheese. There was more butter than bread, more butter than cheese, more butter than salami. It was a joke- I was waiting for a camera crew to appear but they didn't. The numerous staff hanging around were lovely, because the place was almost empty which isn't a surprise. This place has gone downhill massively since our last visit. We won't be going again and suggest avoiding it. On the plus side the beer and cider was nice, although very overpriced as per other reviews

Awful! Never again. Felt a bit ill after eating our meal. We thought our 4 year old was ok because he had the kids menu but we were up all night with him bringing it all back up.

We had an excellent family gathering at Pier Five to celebrate my Dads 60th birthday! We had around 30 people and Pier Five have been amazing throughout the whole planning process. When we arrived, the area had been reserved for us and they’d very kindly said we could decorate and bring a cake which they’d store in the fridge for us. We preordered food as there was so many of us eating to ensure everybody could have the food they want and this all ran smoothly. Very reasonable price wise and the food was lovely. All staff were so friendly and kind! Would recommend if you are wanting to organise any kind of gathering!

It looked a very nice place went in just as one of the staff took the menus away then proceeded to go behind the bar and stare at us,we was confused on how to order food and still no one checked if we was OK, menu wasn't clear and worked out that you had to buy sides with your meal as it didn't come with anything this made it very expensive. Not impressed.

Very empty, okay food, bad service, went to the bar to order blonde lady didn’t catch her name but I think she was pregnant, very very rude I heard her talking about other people that I take that work there as she said “that chef in there” and made a hand gesture to the kitchen, all in all very unprofessional, was waiting a long time to be served after these two girls was done talking, I eventually got my order taken! I never leave negative reviews but this is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! Considering it’s not the cheapest place I expect good customer service when pay them prices, food wasn’t too bad! nice area, hopefully if I return the staff stop talking about eachother and focus on the customers

Always decent food, priced on the higher end but I've not had a bad meal here. Great selection of beers, ciders and spirits, cocktails can be a little hit or miss, but it's more of a pub. Can get a little loud at peak times, and they have a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays which if you're eating a little later can be a bit too loud.

Yummy food and drinks! Can get quite busy on Friday and Saturday evenings so be aware.

Great place for a bite to eat in a good location. The burger was amazing! My only suggestion is that the chips weren't that brilliant, maybe a French fry or a triple cooked chip, that would have been perfect. I would come back again 🙂

Chips burnt, overcooked chicken, dirty toilets with overflowing bins, expected to tip before receiving any service of which service was nothing more than someone dumping plates on a table. Massively overpriced. Only thing half decent is the drinks. Try burger king instead

Great atmosphere, a lovely chicken Caesar burger and the beer was well kept.

Loved the burgers and loaded fries. Service was very friendly and fast. Great that you can order through the app. Family friendly and had a great view of the boats at dockside. Will definitely be going back.

They ran out of rice on Saturday night got drinks order wrong then tried to charge for them bit of a shambles really won't be going back

Oh my goodness, those dirty fries! We tried 2 different flavours and they were honestly so amazing! Really lived upto our expectations. The burgers were a really decent size too and also in thickness! We also had a pizza which was well flavoured and again, a very decent portion size. Will definitely be returning, didn't take any pics as was far too interested in eating it all! 😂 ** update ** Went back for more and wasn't disappointed! Even rememberd to take a picture for you all 🤣

Great loaded fries! Shame they were not piping hot. ☹️ Only appeared to be one local beer on tap but lots of largers Overall highly recommended for the food.
