Poor lady on her own while two others sit yawning at a table while it got busier with people waiting for drinks. No one helped until the lady asked them to start making some drinks. Poor customer service apart from the nice lady on the till.

They accepted the order, then wrote on my receipt that the wrap was unavailable. This was not communicated prior to delivery, so my order was just a big disappointment.

just crossing off an unavailable item is not good customer service.

Very disappointed as the delivery driver took 30 mins from leaving the restaurant to dropping off the order at my address.

3 servers to sort out a women's bill for over 5 minutes. Banana Bread, quite flavourless, asked for extra hot latte didn't get one

It is a good place to dine,lovely coffee,snacks and relaxing atmosphere.

All hot, quick delivery, didn't have sausage rolls and to submit request for refund, nice touch letting me know by putting a note in the bag, that was very helpful.

Got there well before kickoff this evening and had a lovely time. The two ladies serving were efficient and friendly hope this translates to when Gillingham are playing at home next.

I recently visited Costa Coffee and had a generally pleasant experience. The coffee and pastries were up to the usual high Costa standards, and the service was friendly. However, one significant downside during my visit was the overwhelming presence of cigarette smoke. The atmosphere was unfortunately devoured by the strong odor of cigarettes from nearby smokers, which made it less enjoyable for non-smoking patrons like myself. This aspect certainly needs improvement to create a more comfortable and inviting environment. Despite the issue with smoke, Costa Coffee continues to deliver on quality coffee and service, which is why I'm rating it 4 stars. Addressing the smoking concerns would make it an even better place for everyone to enjoy.

food was put straight in bin as cold and not good,another waste of money on my behalf,this the 4th/5th time this has happened,so i wont be ordering anymore food or drinks as not worth the worry of getting hot food delivered...

Slow service, coffee not great! BUT, the toilets, on a high street shop requiring a combination! Combination printed on receipt, paid contactless, no combination….. had to re-queue to get said combination, now reading glasses required to read combination…… couldn’t write this, almost …… To boot, toilets no acceptable cleanliness standards! Poor show Costa @ £3 for medium Americano, in future I’ll stick to MD’s @ £1.19.

Bring some wet paint with you and watch it dry while you’re waiting for your order - they can only draw a single espresso at a time apparently. Drank the coffee out of a paper cup even though I wanted it in a real cup, presumably to save on washing up. The coffee was ok.

Cold coffee always unless you ask for it to be hot. Service is OK when they don't have deliveries to deal with. Atmosphere is not great when you have drunken people standing at the window shouting abuse. Also not happy they have toast available shocking 😳

No issues with the costa restaurant they made our drinks and informed us that they hadn’t been collected. Waited an hour and a half for the drinks for the delivery time to be changed, to be told they were delivered when they never were. Worst delivery driver ever!

Unfortunately I cannot comment on the restaurant service as the delivery driver stopped outside our house and then drove off without delivering the order. My husband went outside in case it was left on the doorstep but not so therefore I’m nearly £20 out of pocket as the driver stole our order.

More comfy seating would be nice

I have been served by Jagz twice now since I’ve been to the revamped Costa and I cannot tell you how much this woman puts a smile on my face. Serves with such passion and great customer service that my kids smile too. Thank you Jagz your super.

Dry poor service, waited ten minutes to be seen even though there was nobody being served. Very unprofessional staff, one blonde girl in uniform having her leg rubbed by a creepy looking guy with a moustache. Very unprofessional in front of customers. Only good thing was the coffee was nice.

I received my order which was made of hot and cold and the drink was put in with hot food and in turn the food was stone cold when it arrived

We were looking forward to having a coffe. It was very dirty and messy. We walked in and the first 2 tables were covered in sugar and sugar packets ( about 20) . Lots of sugar on the floor ( a trip hazard) napkins , straws and receipts scattered on the floor. 2 members of staff behind the counter, not serving anyone. No one was cleaning up. We turned around and walk out.

Rather noisy. Toilet out of order and indifferent staff. On the upside, the coffee was clearly Mocha Italia

Won’t order again, we’ve paid to have caramel in 2 iced coffees and 1 hot coffee and all 3 haven’t got caramel in!

I always get the salted caramel frostino delivered and it should come like the picture shows but instead it always comes without the sprinkles shown, when i put a note on to not forget them they put them on, it's part of the drink so why do they need reminding, im autistic and find it difficult and upsetting to drink it without the sprinkles as its different

Ordered a cooler, tiffin and two bottles of coke. Both bottles of coke didn’t arrive and the delivery driver just said he wasn’t given them

Tried to order a coffee through just eat, Uber eats and the Costa app but was unable to because I wanted to pay in cash. The apps do not allow this option. I tried calling the Rainham store (my closest store) nobody answered the phone over the almost an hour I was trying. So I try calling this store. I was answered to my surprise but only to be met by what sounded like a prepubescent who was clueless as to how to even slightly care about helping the customer. He offered no sort of help or direction as to how I could go about ordering for delivery by cash he just kept repeating "it's out of my hands I'm afraid" I eventually hung up before he enfuriated me further! Complete joke! Train your staff on how to talk to Customers!!!

The new store is fantastic! So much seating and the whole space feels lighter & brighter. The coffee and the food were delicious as always, and the staff at this particular branch of Costa were wonderful. Well worth a visit.

So today i thought i would try the new costa in gillingham to see if the service was better now with a brand new shop,ordered a flat white and a cheese and tom sandwich,the flat white was half a cup at most mainly all froth,the cup felt empty!! the sandwich was under done more like a bit of bread with melted cheese on top,no colour just a floppy mess,this may be as the oven was opened 3 times during the cooking process!Why? so in the end i put bith the coffee and so called food straight in the bin,so in short,New shop same bad service,I would go to Hemstead vally for a costa,seems only place you get good service from Costa,wont be useing the gillingham branch again as cannot afford to throw money away...

This place is a joke... Always a long waiting time, staff obviously need better training. other Costas are far quicker. I feel like I have to wait an absolute age just to get a coffee. Also there isn't enough staff to keep the store tidy, the place was pretty empty yet the tables were a mess.... I mean, have some pride in the place!

If you want to go to a cafe for a quiet and relaxing drink, this isn't the place to be.

Staff are run ragged, all of them doing their absolute best even when there's only one person working the 9am rush. Phenomenal coffee and service, the staff always happy to have a chat especially with regulars. I've never had a bad experience here that couldn't be explained by lack of assistance on the supplier's part or being short staffed (understandable in our current climate). The staff put up with the absolute most, not even from customers sometimes - Gills locals know about the vandalism rise - and they still manage to be able to do their most. Some people in the reviews don't understand that service workers are people too, you're not always going to manage a smile when you've been working a 6 hour shift with the lunch rushes with only two people on staff. The guys here have always been nothing but lovely to me, and I think people are just upset that some of them have a no-nonsense attitutde.

The driver was great and got here quickly, but we ordered two coffees, a vanilla latte and a caramel latte, and we received some kind of milkshake and a bacon roll

The coffee is fab as is the customer service but its very slow, but it's under staffed and the poor staff are trying to do walk ins and the delivery side of it. I ordered my coffees for click and collect and I still had to wait another 20 mins when I went into collect. Can't fault the friendly staff and helpful they are tho.
