Jesse's Cafe in Medway

First try this morning was amazing, closing too soon for dinner tonight, but I’ll be back tomorrow, no doubt. Food is delicious, staff is lovely and caring, locals are teasing each other which is a sign of great atmosphere. I’m as far as we can from a local, but they manage somehow to make you feel some kind of nostalgia that made me dream.

Enjoyed my meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

I had the best eggs, beans and toasts here today staff was amazing the the owner was very welcoming it was just perfect! I will definitely be back when I’m in the area .

Great food great atmosphere, owner makes a mean bread pudding, even sending me some by post, what a great guy! Breakfast here is the only place to go!! Can’t wait for the famous bread pudding to arrive.

Visited on Sunday 13th November with my partner, she had the Sunnyside up breakfast whilst I chose the Whopper, both included a tea or coffee, I ordered Bubble as extra as despite it being a Whopper breakfast it came with neither Bubble nor Hash Browns, also only one tinned tomato whereas the Sunnyside came with two toms AND hash browns, I ordered a normal coffee which was included whilst my partner ordered a Latte, I also ordered Black pudding costing £1, for that I received ONE slice, when I looked at the bill, I had been charged full price for my partners Latte, the reply I had when I disputed it was that the breakfast included a coffee not a Latte as it was more expensive to which I replied, that all I should have been charged in that case then was the difference between a normal coffee and the Latte, eventually the owner replied, 'Ok just this one time' Extremely poor service and will never use this 'cafe' again. Extremely poor customer service.

Superb cafe food, drinks and staff. The kind of place you have trouble leaving a 5-star review for because you want to keep it as your secret hangout. Shout out to the awesome team who works tirelessly behind the counter!

Ordered 2 bacon rolls and both rolls was stale. Im also sure I got overcharged. I think to be a cafe owner and serve stale bread is brazen in it self. Won’t come back to here again!

Today I dined at Jesse's for the first time and was delighted with food, service, ambiance and price. I ordered a 'safe' option, this being my first visit but I wished I'd been more adventurous as the meal was hot and delicious. I had probably the best cup of hot chocolate ever. Impressed, I opted for a dessert and was not disappointed. I really have to give Jesse's 5 gold 🌟 Glad I popped in and happy to have left a large tip. Well done 👏 guys and a pleasure to meet you all.

Good down to earth traditional café.

I've been using this cafe for many years in my opinion its the best cafe in walthamstow, good quality food for a reasonable price and has held a 5 star rating for as long as I can remember

Love this little cafe in Walthamstow

Food is ok/value is ok'ish, service is polite, but be sure you get what you ordered at the price you expect to pay. Two experiences out of three in the last few weeks have out me off.. charged for a tea on a set breakfast that includes tea (first trip) and third/last trip charged additionally for mushrooms on a mushroom omelette. Watch cost/charges carefully IMO.

Absolutely amazing family and exceptional service everytime i attend. I don't go to any other cafe, as they dont offer the same warmth atmosphere with peace and smiles. Reminds me of my grandmother with the constant checking up. 🥇⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is by far the best cafe I've been to in London. Their cheese burgers are absolutely brilliant! They are being hit hard with covid restrictions, but they are so positive and lovely every time I go in.

Very clean & nice well-lit caff we went to on a dark cold day. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, great prices, generous portions, nice strong coffee, efficient and speedy at-table service. I had a mega deluxe burger with chips. It was MASSIVE and I really enjoyed being there. We were not rushed out either so had a relaxing time. Will go again.

Just had the freshest bread with my bacon sarnie, great cappucino and much lovely banter going on. Very welcome stop to get out of the 🥶

My egg was a little over cooked, eggs our the simplest things to cook in life it basic. However I did ask a member of staff and she got the eggs redone and cooked perfectly which was why I didn't mark you down lower out of 5 stars simply becouse of the way that member of staff dealt with it. However my table was sticky I did ask a member of staff could they please clean the table and they ignored so we moves to an table that still has crums from the pervious customers. And then finally after 10 minutes later an member of staff clean it up. The improvement this cafe needs is fast and better communication skills and improvement on cooking food to spec. And an improvement of not ignoring the customer and basic hygiene like cleaning tables to get 5 out of 5 stars from me.

Went in to Jesse's in chatham high street 2 other customers sat there for ten minutes waitress to busy to serve me she was busy Chatting to the other staff in the kitchen at this point i got up and walked out,no social distancing seats still in same place as before covid.will not be returning this cafe jesses in Pentagon has better service and social distancing.

My friend and I use Jessie's a lot as easy place to get to for lunch. YET. For the second week going they cannot put their masks on properly, they are either over mouth or under chin. They put them on properly when suggested by customers but then we get plates slammed down on table or even get chef come out (without mask) to re ask about order. We are in every week and have been over 13 years......... The food is lovely, the place is quite clean they wipe down often BUT WHAT IS THE USE when they do not wear masks as advised by Government. I have spoke to servers and chefs for 2 weeks........ but get nothing done. If we come down with Covid-19 I know where I will start investigating. So upset and angry

Ordered a vegetarian breakfast that only came with one egg, I asked for two when placing my order. Consisted of two sliced mushrooms at most. No toast was offered. Asked for tea too be brought with the food but it wasn't & was lukewarm. The waitresses looked as if she was the last passenger on the titanic. Won't be coming back.

have been going in Jessie's since they opened used to take my dear mum in there for her poached egg on toast and cuppa.always made welcome ed and his mum and dad are amazing him and my hubby always have a little banter about their football teams him being arsenal hubby being tottenham.not been for a while ed if your reading this ray been in hospital really poorly so when this is over and hes better will defernatly be coming in for me pork chop and a chat stay safe ed

Proper family run cafe. Great place to unwind, and good, well cooked food. Immaculately clean too. Shiny cutlery, clean tables and chairs. I ate very well and was made to feel very welcome. Full english with bubble too :) That's worth it's weight in gold :)

Lovely service, decent food and great tea

Have known Jessie and her husband for a very long time. When I go in not very often they always remember their customers. My mum who was a school teacher used to go their with her friends. Always very welcome. They are always so very polite and helpful.

A delightful surprise! I stopped in here for a breakfast and I found the food to be freshly made and delicious! They also had very good coffee, which in my experience is hard to find around this area. The cafe was spotlessly clean. Well done all around!

My friend told me about this cafe so today we decided to give it a visit and i am so pleased i did. Very clean cafe with toilets which are far and few in Chatham. The prices are very reasonable and the food very good. I noticed that as soon as customers had finished there was a member of staff at the table they had used giving it a thorough clean and the seats as well which impressed me a lot. The staff were very friendly and polite and we did not have to wait long for our food which came piping hot. Will be visiting this lovely cafe hopefully soon.

GOOD COFFEE! I'm actually really fussy with my coffee, the coffee here was really very good ! the food was also really good value. I'm also a bit fussy with my Tuna mayo but the lovely waitress organised for the mayo to come separate from the tuna so it wasn't sloppy. I'm glad we ventured up this e d if the high street now!

Was in Chatham and my visit to Jesse's Cafe was very good, the staff were welcoming and friendly, table service was included. They offer a wide range of breakfasts and other meals. The food was excellent, tasty and hot. great value for money and worth a visit.

decent breakfast food - nothing fancy but you don't go to Jesse's for fancy food - prices are good (fiver for huge burger and chips and toppings etc) and service is great very friendly and helpful. I'm a regular, it's perfect for a after-party breakfast when you're hungover

Best Straight forward good value traditional cafe on the market. great for all day breakfast, omelettes and paninis.

🇬🇧 a proper caf. Brings tears to my eyes. Cup of tea included with the brekkie, proper. Only thing missing was a copy of the Sport. Shame. Great bit of scran though.

We had a quick lunch of burger with cheese & bacon and gammon steak with egg & peas, both were really tasty and served piping hot.Really good value and very friendly service from the sparky young guy waiting the tables.Big choice of different dishes on the menu, i will definitely revisit when next in the area.

Smashing cafe with very friendly staff. Food was great and not greasy like some cafes and you get lots for your money. Bacon was done perfectly and not cremated. Will be back very soon. Anybody that don't give this lovely place 4 stars plus are dimwits with no taste.

Had the car in for a service so walked into Chatham and found Jesse's Cafe, I has a Great Full English Breakfast, a lovely cuppa to go with it, well and truly full and satisfied after. Very quick and friendly services in a very clean cafe - thanks guys you were great.

Very bad experience in jessie today, daughter order her burger, asked for no sauce, no lettuce or no cheese on it, 4 burger turn up with it all on, said the burger was to have nothing on it, was told there was nothing they can do about it.

We go there on a Monday and it's nice in there they are helpful the service is quick

Always in here for food, although today was our first bad experience. Ordered sirloin steak, which soon became apparent that it was off, and there was a horrendous taste so couldn’t eat it. Rather than taking it off our bill, they still charged £5 for the gone off steak.

Jesse's cafe is a very nice place to relax in a relaxed environment and enjoy a nice drink and/or food and it's even better that the prices are very good too. I have to be honest, which makes it even better, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming on top of it. So it's highly recommended to come to Jesse's cafe...

I will definitely NEVER waste my time here again. I sat on a table outside, where someone else had obviously sat before me: no one actuallt bothered cleaning it before serving me. I had asked for a set breakfast and a portion of chips, I received a plate with the breakfast (minus the mushrooms) and a 'pinch of chips' next to it - although they charged me full price for both courses. The coffee that came with the set breakfast came in a dirty mug - one couldn't look at it without feeling sick. Hygiene here is below zero, food quality and value for money aren't obviouslt even topics.

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning in the snow. Pleasantly surprised to see so many staff working and all very competent and pleasant. Good selection of breakfasts, most combinations catered for, including veggie and at reasonable prices. The waitress took our drinks order as soon as we sat down and food was quick and painless to order and arrived shortly after. We had a full English and double fried eggs on toast with two teas (one included in the breakfast price) and the bill was £8.10. Their menu had lots of other offerings for lunch and dinner, again at reasonable prices. The place was busy and we saw a few regulars arrive while we were there which is always a good sign. If you're looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful to eat with friendly staff then give it a go.

One of places that you go to not for the food experience but yes for the GREAT atmosphere! Lovely people who work here will make you feel at home

Mum and I always go there when we are down market

I went in with a four year old and the staff were lovely. They offered him a lollipop for finishing his food and when he couldn't decide, let him have two flavours. There are clean ladies and gents toilets. They do vegetarian options, children's menu as well as Cypriot sausages and the usual traditional English caf fare. Whole place is very clean and friendly.

Attentive service. We go there twice a week at least. Excellent value for money.
