The staff was helpful, if you would like somewhere to have a sandwich or fresh pastry don't pass this place .

While visiting from outside the UK, I wanted to catch up with a friend. The restaurant had a diverse menu with plenty of options, and the prices were quite reasonable, making it a great choice for a casual meetup. Though I needed wi-fi, to put a call through to my guest, I found it a bit challenging to connect and I couldn’t get sufficient help from the staff.

The staff here were phenomenal. The service was impeccable. The food was exquisite. We were only going to buy a cake but we were welcomed so warmly with our little girl that we decided to stop and eat and we are so glad we did. It was so clean and every member of staff greeted us when they passed us. Our food was cooked exactly how we asked for it. The choice of sandwiches and cakes on offer was really impressive. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I normally come in for a coffee and cake every Friday morning, really reasonably priced and best coffee oh the high street. We came in yesterday for lunch and had a baguette each, both wete absolutely delicious! I think we were served by someone called Chris who was really friendly and gave great service. All the staff are always very chatty and lovely, love Lennys!

Pros - Lots of food, can choose own sandwiches before, nice touches such as bringing out a gypsy tart. Cons - I choose ‘Happy Birthday’ Afternoon Tea, as I came for my birthday but there was nothing decorated to indicate anything about birthday - so did not understand why you bother having that as an option, the picture online was misleading. Despite choosing 4 sandwich fillings online they added a random 5th of cheese but did not inform me beforehand. And even though it was a Tuesday afternoon we thought OK it will be quiet but there were no other customers there sadly so the atmosphere was boring. :( Overall it was OK , lots of food at least. But because of the cons we would not come back sorry.

Love the build your own breakfast very nice

I have been coming here for over 20 years, when it was previously Tony Lorenzo's and my rating is based off of today's visit only. We got a take away and my husband had a sausage baguette that contained 2 different types of sausage, now call us fussy but it's not what you would expect, to me it's like oh we just have these so that will do. It's just off putting. Updated. Firstly I know how long it's been since it changed hands, and based on your passive aggressive response will probably mean I'll never visit again.

I don't think there's anything they sell that isn't great, god the pork and apple pasty is brilliant

Always my go-to place to eat/drink in Rochester. Lots of menu choices and the staff are absolutely fantastic and so friendly and welcoming.

Great spot for a bite to eat with a great selection and great prices. Staff are bubbly, friendly and the general atmosphere is inviting. Well worth a stop if your in the area.

Very cheap and food was nice enough, so I can’t really complain. Only one of the vegan options was actually available for some reason. Presentation of food was a bit weird.

Got to say an enormous thank you to Lenny's staff for the GIANT Gypsy Tart they made at short notice for me to take from Rochester to Edinburgh. My work colleagues said they wanted me to bring them back something from my recent visit to Kent. Any chance that Lenny's might think about opening a store in Edinburgh?

Visited a while back (when it was called tony lorenzo). Used to be our favourite place to have lunch. I love the eggs benedict. Think last time i visited was around 2019 before covid. Lovely place, need to visit again sometime

Lovely tasty food, I ate in the other day and everything felt a bit unloved. Menus a bit tatty, every surface seemed sticky, no soap in the loos, all the decor seemed a bit old and dusty. Can't take away from the food being really nice though, I'll just maybe takeaway in future.

We were on a time limit and mentioned this on entry, we were reassured by the counter staff. The selections looked amazing. Went upstairs and got a table, it’s a nice, clean and pleasant environment. We were served promptly. The staff were friendly and attentive. The sandwiches we all chose were the best sandwiches we’ve ever eaten! Can recommend the beef, Stilton snd mayo.

The vegan Bavarian pastry was really delicious, definitely returning just for that alone and maybe try the vegan lemon slice. I believe there was another one but I can't recall.

Visited today late afternoon and will certainly return. The Samosa tasted particularly delicious but also enjoyed a pasty & Panini which were great plus drinks. Grabbed a Belgium bun & a slice of chocolate to go as we left and they too were great. Attentive service including recommendations as there were so many cakes we struggled to choose.

Now to taste. Is the Rochester Custard Tart the same as a South African Milk Tart? Hmmm? But then I've never tried a Gypsy Tart before and who can resist Lemon Meringue Pie. Sunday afternoon tea with the family is going to be oh so heavenly. Thanks Lenny's for an irresistible front window display.

Thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and panninis/baguettes. Lively and welcoming atmosphere. Would revisit with family and friends.

Just popped in for some lunch. They offered to cook us anything we wanted from the breakfast menu despite it being aftef 13.00. In the end we opted for ploughmans lunches. What can i say.... wonderful fresh salads, lovely cheese and gammon and accompaniments. Together with friendly and attentive staff. We have never been disappointed in all our visits. Highly recommended

I have been coming to Rochester for many years. I loved going to Tony's, but now it's under a different name,so I gave it a try. Great friendly staff. Lovely welcome and a very attentive team.Ordered a pie but actually received a pasty, which was a little disappointing. Tasty chips. Delicious 😋 desert. I will definitely go again.

Bought two gypsy tarts from here today. Got them home and they were awful. The filling is still raw, yet somehow managed to tast like burnt sugar. See the photos that show its still raw, stuck to the bag they came in. Disappointing.

Friendly, helpful, great service & the best food in Rochester!

Very busy restaurant but managed to eventually find a table. The menu had a great choice of hot meals, sandwiches, cakes and pastries. With a variety of drink options. You have to find a table make your choice and then pay for your food at the rear of the restaurant, we were told there was a wait of about 15 minutes which wasn’t a problem for us.

Loved it! So many incredible foods on offer for such wonderful prices!

Thank you very much to the staff in Lenny’s of Rochester for going above and beyond, and so kind. I visited with an elderly client this afternoon. They were very patient with us when choosing the order. When we wanted to go upstairs to eat, the gentleman, Cameron, that served us, assisted my client up the stairs as my hands were full with our food. Later, when I said to my client that I was going to get her a napkin, a lovely lady/employee (unfortunately did not get her name) brought one over without me asking. Everyone there was patient, kind and welcoming. And the food was lovely too, we both enjoyed!

Sunday Breakfast with my little brother. Most of the cafes were closed in Rochester when we walked the high street. Lennys was open and I had brought some great pasties and samosas the day before. It’s always a good sign when tables are pre booked for breakfast and regulars are greeted by name. We both had the full English which was well cooked and tasty. The tea served in a pot was good and gave two cups. Service was polite, discreet and excellent. The highest accolade I can award is “ I would eat here again”

Absolutely love Lenny's and have been here countless times for lunch, breakfast and cake. Decided to try their wonderful afternoon tea for a Mother's Day treat and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and there was so much of it! We took the leftovers home which was another tasty treat to enjoy in the evening too. The cakes were amazing and we loved being able to choose the sandwich fillings we wanted from their huge selection. Service was great as always. Would highly recommend. Can't wait to go back soon for another afternoon tea treat! Thank you Lenny's!

Went for afternoon tea and had a lovely selection of food. You get to choose your sandwich fillings you would like from their huge range they do and comes with sausage rolls, lots of cakes and scones with jam and cream. We couldn’t eat it all so they supplied boxes for us to take it home in.

Excellent food and service every time, the staff are extremely nice especially Charlie. Chocolate and pistachio slice is the best. The baguettes, pasty and fries are delicious.

The best place in Rochester for coffee/milkshakes and a catch up. Lovely food too, including a wide range of different cakes, and with quick, friendly service, what more could you want?

Wonderful bakery, pasties are divine and would recommend the Chicken spring rolls and Chicken samosa. Prices are reasonable and price for the cakes is excellent. Staff are polite and friendly.

Did receive some friendly service but it's been a long time since I've had a disappointing coffee in the morning In response - I last visited approx 1 yr ago & had a cappuccino & pasty/pie to go which was good - I apologize for making assumptions - In hindsight, I should've requested a replacement coffee - I have readjusted my review to average the experience of both my visits

Ordered takeaway online for collection, instead of dining in on this occasion. Easy process on the website, food well prepared as usual. Well wrapped/bagged so easy to carry home. All the food was tasty. Friendly Staff. Kept informed of order progress and collection time.

A friend took me here the other day for breakfast. I’m the type of person to stick with what I know so I’m glad I decided to go with his place instead of mine. We have breakfast and it was amazing! I had eggs Benedict with bacon, the bacon was just to my liking - crispy instead of rubbery, they accommodated my request for brown bread instead of a muffin and it was absolutely delicious! My friend had a full English and the plate was absolutely huge! Will deffo be coming here again, I’m so glad he took me here. Thank you!

Had tea and fried egg sandwitch with brown bread for two people costing £14 & bought pasties and cakes Firstly brought one white and one brown not bakers bread just shop bought sliced bread ...steak pasties were rock hard filled with potatoes no seasoning tasteless and even the four different cakes and cookie we bought were also lacking any flavour not sure how this is possible with a cake but we couldn't eat any of them. The owner needs to go and taste the food they are selling at extremely high prices and sort this place out ..you have to keep the locals happy to keep in business not just the torists

Visited Tony Lorenzo's yesterday with my mother and wife Found the place friendly and welcoming Had a big breakfast and was very nice washed down with a latte Not sure if the brown bread I had as toast was baked in store but was lovely Was served up by a young lady called Imogen She was very helpful All in all I couldn't fault the please Even had a cheeky cake(belvedian apple slice) to take home from the bakery downstairs

I've been coming here for over 25 years and look forward to doing so for many years to come. Always a friendly atmosphere here and staff always find time to pass the time of day. Food is freshly cooked to order and there is a HUGE choice of fillings for sandwiches/rolls/baguettes/salads to choose from that give other well known sandwich shops a run for their money. Barista made coffee is always spot on and available with oat milk if dairy isn't your thing. (I love their oat milk latte 😍) The stunning choice of cakes and pastries are AMAZING, so a friendly word if you're watching your waistband 😉 There's 2 floors of seating with an area in the second floor furnished with 'comfy chairs and coffee tables' for those not held up by constraints of a lunch hour and perfect for a coffee and cake break. The rest of the seating is plenty and made up with tables and chairs. In short, Tony Lorenzo's takes some beating and I would highly recommend stopping by and treating yourself to a little patisserie indulgence once in a while. 👌

Brilliant place to have lunch and a treat ! Atmosphere is very welcoming, and you are put at ease straight away. Staff are very efficient and certainly know their products, the attention and service given from Lidia was second to none, a true asset to Tony Lorenzo's.

I went on Mother’s Day and had a lovey experience on Sunday. I was served by Lidia, she was polite and interactive. The coffee was great to. So thank you and keep it up.

Had a lovely tea cake and cuppa yday. Staff were friendly and food came quick. Naomi, the owner is great and super helpful. Brought lemon cake and a cookie for later that day, 😋 was lovely to have at home with a cuppa. I will be back.

Worst meal I’ve had in a long time, my food was extremely average, could’ve made the same thing at home. After taking a bite from the ‘bbq sausage’ baguette I was extremely unsatisfied, it was literally a sausage cut up with bbq sauce poured over it, not ‘sausage marinated in bbq sauce’ so I thought let me take a sip of the chocolate milkshake at least that’ll be nice; I was wrong, worst tasting chocolate milkshake I’ve ever had, I don’t understand how can you mess up a chocolate milkshake? Tasted like it was used with gone off lumpy milk and hot chocolate powder. I’m not the one to ever leave bad reviews but I will never return to this place, such a let down as I’ve heard good things about it.

Went on a Sunday morning. Got a few bits which were average-ok. Also got 2 custard tarts, which needed a spoon to eat as the pasty was totally soaked and collapsing. Made me think they'd been there a while. Sort of expect something special at TL, but the service was slow and the food nothing special.

One of the best Coronation Chicken baguettes I've ever had. Good coffee. Amazing cake, the lemon caramel slice was delicious. Fantastic staff who were very attentive when the drinks were delayed because it was pretty busy. I'm going to have fun going through the entire menu!

Coffee was great! But the Lorenzo breakfast was very average! the presentation was poor and taste was ok. it didn't have salt on the table and to get some extra toast took 5-10mins at which point the breakfast was cold. Now the halloween cupcake! that was terrible in my opinion not fit for sale (stale) and priced at nearly £4! Would have given this place 2 star but the 1 starsfor the cupcake. the staff at the restaurant were ok! Overpriced, poor quality and rubbish customer experience

They were able to help modify my order which was fantastic and then decided on a carrot cake afterward which was disappointing to say the least; very crunchy due to an overabundance of nuts and felt like it had grainy sand like pieces throughout and harsh sponge texture. Hopefully their other desserts will prove better on my next visit.
