I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chatham’s finest Costa Coffee, and I must say, the service and experience I received were absolutely outstanding. Friendly staff, the food and drinks were just right.

I ordered an Ice whipped vanilla latte, I asked staff if they can make sure they can give whipped cream,as the assistant that day made me repeat my order 3 times, then that particular assistance became rude and very aggressive, at one point it seemed as though she was going to charge at me, my only fault was that I was standing my ground in the most tolerant way possible despite the assistant shouting and ranting at me,on couple of occasions she even threatened me, by saying that she is calling the manager,and she told me that I am barred from the shop, when she was the aggressor, I should of called the police,so they would of checked CCTV footage were she was throwing the finger at me shouting and swearing, highly unprofessional, that same day I went to Gillingham Costa and 2 of the staff said the same thing that they will never go to the Chatham branch again as they had an issue themselves, It really is a shame I have been using that Costa for 7 years,all the employees there have been very lovely except for this one person, also a shame I never got her name, and even if I did ask her for her name I probably would of got punched in the face by her because of the way she was on heat

For a chain store, the atmosphere is superb staff helpful and friendly always a pleasure to deal with

The celling needs to be worked on as it looks like they had a leak and not finished the celling off but overall it was nice coffee

Went to Chatham this morning and popped into this cafe which was busy during our stay. Staffs were friendly and trying to get engage with customers however, I requested coffees in take away cups but served differently. Ordered a panini but did not arrived for half an hour and had to remind. I appreciate that the member of staff realised she forgot my order and offered a cookies as a gesture which I accepted. Anyway, good place to have a cuppa and socialise.

It's been a tough few weeks and I needed a coffee. Popped in with a sombre face and within 30 seconds I was laughing and smiling. The ladies here are just lovely and really cheered me up! And the coffee was great. Store is super clean including the toilets. Will definitely be back.

Dont bother. Working in the area so popped in to use the loo before ordering a coffee and food. Didn't get to the ordering part as I headed for the loos and it appeared locked by key (turns out someone in there but no indicator present, just a broken keyhole so naturally I knew that...) asked a member of staff if their loos were open and she came over complaining about people using them that shouldn't and then confirmed someone was in there (must have been a desperate trucker or something as 10 minutes later they were still in there), gave me a glare and buggered off. I gave up and went to the McDonalds instead. So well done, sorry that I don't speak 'ug' but if all visitors to the area are treated like this, no wonder the place was half empty. Why not go the whole hog and get some barbed wire around the place and a couple of alsatian patrolling to add to the ambience...

The worst Costa I’ve been to in England. The staff were swearing the whole time. Alina had more enthusiasm to talk about her fake nails rather than provide a courteous service. Should be shut down.

It was Costa exactly what it says on the tin, if you want to adjust the coffee ingredients somehow, ie specific milk or a specific additive they put in they will let you, and the waitresses are very funny and seem happy to be there, I say that as in alot of places now it's not normally that way 👍

I had lunch at this branch today and the staff were very friendly. One member gave a great suggestion for lunch and helped me select a salted caramel brownie for after. I couldn't ask for a friendlier and more welcoming atmosphere. Definitely will come again!

Costa Coffee in Chatham High Street is a well run and welcoming coffee shop. It has a wide choice of coffee types and a whole lot of cakes to choose from. The staff are helpful, attentive and polite. A good place to meet up and spend an hour or two chatting to friends.

Ordered 2 coffee arived 45 min late. tried to get refund. just eat said i should get costa to refund spoke to manager and she hung up. Very poor service as the girl before kept saying she did not know what to do.

Unfortunately I have to give only one star because the Coffey just taste like water I tried several times but it gets worse and worse.

lovely little shop great window seats to check out the birds going by,coffee is well made,staff are friendly,always seats to welcome you in,and well managed by area manager.

Front door to the shop is filthy and doesn't have handles on one side. Not very appealing or welcoming. No handsanitiser in the sanitiser station. Almond latte was nice but the unsweetened version of the almond milk would be much nicer. The slice of cake was nice and fresh.

Brilliant place to eat and drink staff friendly

Staff all chatting amongst themselves, barely acknowledging customers. Not one of the 4 people working smiles once. Food was ready well before the drinks were, so food was cold by the time drinks came. I took 3 spoons, all of them grubby with fingerprints. Gave up in the end, just used a wooden stirrer. And to top it all off, there is no lock on the toilet, so someone has to stand outside?! Shocking, definitely will not be back. The only reason I stayed is because my son loves the hot chocolate

Ugh. Totally awful. Daughter is vegan. Unlike other Costas there were barely any vegan food choices. Asked at the counter the lady pointed me to the front and said those flapjacks. So dutifully I bought it....turns out they're vegetarian not vegan. Daughter was not impressed with me. Went on to purchase a caramel oat latte with vitamins & zinc. Which I was told was vegan. Dunno what the vitamin did but the drink was lumpy. Then I find out caramel is NOT vegan. Seriously people know your product. I had an Americano. All I can say is the Americans once famed for strong black coffee must now like it tasting & looking like insipid dishwater. It was bleugh. If you need a Costa please please please travel up to hempstead Valley up the road or even Chatham as they're infinity better.

I live on the Rochester Riverside and it's just up the road it was a great experience today I met my son for a coffee and it was cool inside despite being muggy outside the staff are always polite and it's a pleasant place to sit inside.

Cosy little Costa how it should be

Staff didn't understand what you wanted and when they did finally understand they gave me a drink with normal milk instead of lacto free like I asked several times and was told yes it was fine. Glad I check or partner could have been severely ill.

It was Eat Out For Less so great value for some coffee and cake. Well spaced out and clean. Staff were friendly and informative. There was a large range of tea, coffee, cakes and sandwiches.

Great little coffee shop makes you feel like your not in Chatham friendly staff great coffee and pastries

There was 5 staff on duty but only one making coffees. There was only 4 customers in front of me and it took almost 15 minutes before I could even order my coffee. It was a quiet Sunday morning (10am). There was even a staff lady who instead of helping serving was moving brochures around and moving chairs.

They have to focus seriously on cleanliness. Also tidiness. Need more staff, I guess. Too many things to do with too few staff.

I enjoy Costa coffee not happy with cleanliness, tables at back although empty from customers were full of cups Ect I had to clear table for my son and I to sit down Discount please for doing your job

Around 3.30pm 4pm I walled into the coffee shop for a coffee, one lady wating to be served and myself. The two staff was talking to themselves In there own language. Did not acknowledge us. I was desperate to use the toilet and left the lady waiting at the counter. When I returned the lady had still not been served and she asked the staff what language are you talking. The Manager said Chech don't worry she said we talking about Driving. I replied you should concentrate on looking after your customers. The Manager was not professional at all and acted if she really did not understand what she was doing. Where are all the regular staff they are normally so pleasent and fast. There was only 4 customers in the shop it was so messy.

Lovely cup of coffee, just wish the beggars would leave you alone when you sit outside. Be careful of the wonky tables too.

I love costa coffee but have to say this was the cleanest shop I have been in the food prep area was spotless as was the coffee Machine area the tables and surrounding areas were equally clean and tidy ...I did complement the staff on the day
