Nice coffee shop, lovely food, freshly made.

No score on food, as we didn’t eat. We were kept waiting while the cashier was writing something down, she could have made eye contact and said “just one moment please” Without sounding patronising, the young staff could do with some customer service skills, which would go a long way, and perhaps get more 5 star scores.

By far the best hot chocolate in Rochester! Delicious toasties - highly recommend the goats cheese one and a great friendly service from Abi & Skye.

We visited here for lunch after visiting the Cathedral earlier in the day. The selections of food and drink was quite large for such a small coffee place and we were impressed with this. We ordered 2 coffees, I have a white mocha which I have never had before but it was lovely. We had a sandwich each and shared a piece of rather large cake def didn’t need one each. The cost of our meal was really good and the quality was great. We will def be returning. Friendly staff and really clean !

We've been coming here for quite a few years. It had a refurb last year and is even better, the staff are brilliant and the new food menu is very good. I can definitely recommend it.

The best place in Rochester for Coffee! Highly recommend this shop over Costa, in Costa you don’t get the welcoming smiley face and the staff that will do anything for you!

The café has been refurbished recently and looks great. The menu has also been revamped and they now serve freshly made focaccia and ciabatta sandwiches, which makes a welcome change from most places on the High Street. No plastic in sight! Our sandwiches were delicious and at only £5.50 each, very good value. The coffee is as good as ever. Years ago this place was a tired looking bakery cafe and before the refurb, it still had that air. Now it looks much better and the best thing is that the toilet doesn't smell of nappies anymore! Only downside are the steps leading down to the café. Disabled customers will have to sit outside.

What a wonderful atmosphere! The staff are so lovely and the food and drink is absolutely delicious! I would recommend to anyone visiting Rochester!!

Lovely coffee and giant slices of cake

On Google maps was showing open but was closed I wasted my time going to the shop.

Nice little coffee room with very friendly staff. We ordered a Mocha, Latte, Cheesecake and a lemon tart. All worth it

We have to sit outside because of the dog. But staff are very polite and make sure we have every thing we require

Chai latte was lovely. Seem to have a large range of teas and Coffees. Lemon meringue was a little disappointing- not as sweet as I'd like- but this may be more a personal preference. Atmosphere- there's a good volume of music, quite with people but is near closing on a Sunday afternoon. Lovely and clean. Friendly staff and very helpful when asking about products.

Went for coffee and cake today - so lovely and welcoming and the coffee and cakes were delicious. Was turned away by every venue in Rochester as I had a tiny 2kg dog with me - but this place made us very welcome. Will definitely visit again soon! :)

I have been to rochester so many times and never been in this place until now and I cannot believe I've missed out all this time. Only had a coffee and cake but was absolutely lovely . Great atmosphere very friendly staff. Will defo be returning soon.

Great selection of teas and coffees. The cakes are all homemade and taste great. The staff are all really friendly. The place is dog friendly too which always makes the atmosphere much better.

Nice independent store on the high street the service was nice and polite. The coffee is good quality my dark chocolate was not very dark and was very sweet . Toilets could be better. You can pay with card and cash.

Very cosy coffee shop. Coffees are really nice, not overly strong and bitter like the main brand coffee shops. It's a bit more relaxed in here too which makes it a lovely experience just to sit and enjoy a break.

Had a very nice coffee while catching up on some work

Visited with my husband and son it was quite busy, always a good sign. Toasted teacakes were lovely quite fruity and with a decent amount of spice lots of butter too. Hot chocolate with Baileys and cream, wow, this is now my new favourite hot drink. Double espresso was enjoyed by my son he said it was good coffee and he drinks gallons of the stuff. Cakes looked lovely but they will be a reason to visit again.

It's October! It's chilly! I want to be inside - nice and cozy and warm. Hot with my mocha - a toasty guy with a toastie --- not a blooming frappè chappy in my coat and scarf while the door is wide open and the aircon is on maximum. I mean purleeeeze guys..........don't let me fureeeeeeeeeeze! And if the reason is Covid then point this out as the customers enter, so they can about turn and find somewhere indoors to have a coffee. Independent = cool. Cold/chilly = not cool?

They have a couple of vegan options which are nice. The coffee is good too. The staff have always been friendly, polite and happy. They're lovely to talk to. Would be nice for a little more vegan variety but its a pleasant cafe all in all. UPDATE: They've decided to drop their vegan options a while ago. Their coffee is still nice and they have one vegan dessert, but apart from that, they're not vegan friendly which is a shame.

Amazing cream tea, everything was so fresh and all the sandwich fillings were so nice and generous, the scones were lovely and warm and the cakes were great with a good variety! I’ve been going there for years because the coffee is amazing.

Visited Rochester on our way back to our hotel Rochester coffee Co. situated on the High Street they was just about to close for the day but managed to purchase to lovely lattes served with a complimentary biscuit I purchaced a very nice cookie biscuit friendly staff. Sat out side. Well worth a visit.

Lovely hot coffees lovely service

Visited here the Sunday before Christmas after popping in on the off chance. We was with our friend who has a dog (French Bulldog) and was welcomed in. Seriously, they couldn't do enough for us. The coffee, cake, the tea and cookie. All good. The service was excellent, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a good visit.

It wasn't awful, but wasn't amazing either, the girl on the counter spent more time talking about her nights out and drinking than anything else. The coffee was good, brought in cakes etc

Firstly the coffee was very nice I had an espresso, However the takeaway wrap i ordered was leaking sweet chilli sauce everywhere and literally had 2 of the smallest bits of chicken in them , the biggest issue I had was I was over charged for this by £4 , I would usually notice things like this but at the time the very friendly server was ingaging me in conversation, which is a good thing, but not when your being over charged

We arrived on a very cold & windy day found the staff very welcoming ,it was very busy but they found us a table Coffee was good the place very clean there was handgel before you visited the toilet which was clean ..

I love the hot chocolate here and the coffee selection is good too, a must visit for when you are in town.

We visited for afternoon tea and it was great. The scones are perfect (and square, never seen that before) with clotted cream and jam. The sandwiches were good too, but we weren't keen on the jam and cheese one. A little expensive but worth it, everything was fresh and very filling.

Had better experience this time than the last. The cake I had was lovely, the place was nice and clean and the staff were friendly

This coffee shop is a very nice place to go and have a light lunch. Its also very nice just to drop into for a nice cup of tea .Also they do some very nice cakes.The Staff there are also very friendly.You always get excellent service.

We stopped off here whilst waiting to check into the hotel nearby & we ended up liking it so much that we came back for breakfast the following day

This place is amazing! They use green ware on to-go cups so you can recycle even though it’s plastic. An awesome local business with amazing Cronuts 🤩

We bought a voucher for afternoon tea here over a year ago and haven’t been able to use it. They very kindly said we could have a take away instead which I collected today for my parents. It was so good loads of lovely sandwiches of all kinds, scones, cream, jam, macaroons, sponges, brownies, tea bags and I also got two hot drinks to take away as well. Would highly recommend if you want to treat someone and cheer them up. You do need to call in advance we had to give 48 hours notice. The staff were so pleasant as well.

Visited yesterday for the first time, it certainly won't be the last! The Baileys hot chocolate is absolutely divine, and the Victoria sponge was exquisite!! Lovely location, friendly staff and speedy service, and fully compliant with current rules around Covid.

i've only ever had positive experiences in this cafe and introduced many people to it over the years! i make sure to stop in for a slice of cake on every visit i make to rochester - which is lovely and handmade by the way! highly recommend the white chocolate cheesecake if you're ever lucky enough to visit on a day where it's available, it's my personal favourite! staff are always friendly and prices are fairly reasonable for the quality you get.

Fully COVID compliant, when I visited it was during the 2nd lockdown so only takeaway available but the coffee is great & lots of cake to choose from. Plus you get a lotus biscuit free with your coffee - a nice touch that you don't get with the coffee shop chains 🙂

A little gem on the High Street. The Rochester Coffee Company is such a find. It’s nestled in the middle of the high street with a great view of the cathedral. We had an afternoon tea which was superb. Plenty of fresh sandwiches, cakes, macaroons and, of course, fresh scones with clotted cream and jam. Skye and Tommy looked after us with excellent, attentive service, friendly manner and allowing us to really enjoy our day. Thank you guys. You’re an absolute credit to the place. We’ll be back.

I like the food and the staff at Rochester Coffee Shop. Really good food and comfortable. You can sit and chat and also sit outside which is a bonus.

Had a warm, smily welcome. Very comfortable seating with warm central heating. The service was prompt and they latte was just how I like it. Also the coffee cake was tasty but could have done with a few more walnuts. I’ve visited this cafe many times and I have never been disappointed. I’m very glad they havn’t lost out to the other large coffee purveyor.

Second time I’ve been here recently despite lots of staff the service is so slow..Table cleared but not wiped But the worrying thing is the guy with a beard and bun did not seem to stop swearing In The earshot if customers .There were several children in the shop ... this is not acceptable

Great lunch stop off with a variety of food

First visit and we loved it! Stopped for coffee and cake before heading home, after visiting the museum of the moon at the cathedral. The shop was very busy but service was good and the cakes were divine!! We will definitely be back when we fancy a treat!

Despite calling themselves a coffee company they were unable to make me a cortado this morning because 'it's not on the menu'. Come on guys! It's a very small coffee. Surely with a bit of imagination you could have made a big one and tipped half away.Also no fruit for sale or anything healthy to have as a snack. Will not be returning

Stopped in today for tea great as always. Have visited several times previously for coffee which is excellant. Staff always very pleasant and helpful. Today was the first time I had sat inside and its a very clean and cosy space.
