The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Chiltern South East

Was looking forward to a lovely meal with friends. Unfortunately very dissatisfied. Hugely overpriced! Terrible service! No one came and asked if everything was ok. Had to go to the bar twice as vinegar was empty. Then the pepper was empty! No apology! Waited over 20 minutes to get a raw pizza! Was only a Margarita as i wasn't going to pay £4.00 for peperoni! Eventually another pizza came. Still not what i would call properly cooked! The other guests said the fish was nice but the chips were not cooked evenly and also thier food arrived amazingly quick which suggests it was already cooked and then re-fried?? How you can get 2x fish and chips, a Holume burger and chicken tikka to a table in 10 minutes is amazing!! But can't cook a pizza properly?? Also dirty table and an empty dog bowl under the table. It wasn't busy so it should have been taken away from the previous customers and table cleaned properly!! Shall not be recommending or re- visiting again.

We went to The Crown for Easter Lunch with our friends, we had such a lovely time. The food, service and atmosphere was all perfect. The Easter egg hunt they put on for the children was really fun. We love coming to The Crown, it never disappoints.

Quick and friendly staff. Excellent range of different drinks and a choice of coffee grounds to enhance your experience. Will come again

Roots is a little oasis in the heart of town. We’ve lived locally for a long time and visit on a weekly basis. It’s easily our favourite cafe in Chesham. If you want delicious, freshly made and reasonably priced food, friendly staff and great coffee and cake this is the place for you. Plus, If you’re a bit of a house plant addict like me, you’ll find it hard not to walk out with a plant every time. Our trips to Roots are the highlight of our week - especially in these strange times.

Very friendly and professional service. Nice menu with lovely gluten free cake! Suggest popping in even if you’re not visiting the museum.

Superb fresh bread and the best Cream cakes this side of Paris . Terrific selection of rolls and pastries , beautiful selection .

Wonderful customer service, great food

Stopped for lunch last week for our first visit. Lovely old pub with a great garden next to the River Misbourne with Carp and Ducks.Very friendly and helpful staff.Great choice of food on the menu. We both had a ploughman's, which was excellent. Only problem was that the portions were a little on the small side. For the price, would have expected a bit more on the plate. Would have been 5 stars if meal had been a larger. Will definitely visit again.

We visited the Beech House Amersham for a drink one evening and we loved it, it was busy, vibrant with a nice atmosphere. I thought it would be a great place to take my family for a Bday and Mother’s Day meal. How wrong was I! I feel like I let my family down, because everyone was looking forward to a nice time. My daughters did not like the Sunday roast at all, the pizza base for myself came badly burnt first, which was changed promptly but it was just average. The service was great, but we will not be coming here for a meal again, nor recommend it to others.

We had an after funeral drinks for my dad's send off , Michael and Christian couldn't do enough ....highly recommend

Before I begin I would first of all like to thank Ian and Abbie the owners of the Café for their kindness towards myself and the group I came in with. I came with my group of seventeen work colleagues on the thirteenth of May 2025. Upon arrival the Café we were warmly greeted by Ian and we were shown to our table reservation which was specially done for us which I and my group gratefully appreciated. The size of the café was perfect for the group I was traveling with. Some of us went up to the counter to collect cold food while some of us sat in our chairs for the hot food. I collected my food from the counter which wasn't that exciting but I didn't really mind as it had what I was looking for on that day. Overall I would recommend this place with the only thing being the menu size being a little small but it isn't too small to put people off.

A lovely historic English pub with welcoming staff and the food was very good. There should be more pubs like this, I think it's a superb traditional establishment.
