I’d heard a lot about the concept but wasn’t exactly sure how it worked - simples, really, loads of booze and something to eat! The place was empty when we arrived and never got full, so slightly soulless but the decor was pretty good. Bizarrely when the next customers arrived, the server tried to put them on the table next to us. The food was tasty - not particularly massive, but good. We were asked on a regular basis if we wanted more drinks - and there was a good variety available. Recommended.

Popped in to have a drink during a bike ride. Sat outside. Decided to order food, I went for the roast beef ciabatta and my husband had the turkey one. Ordered at the bar and given a pager, we were to collect food once the pager buzzed. Not happy that the staff can’t bring food outside for customers. When my husband collected the food, he struggled with the 2 doors he had to open to get back outside, with 2 plates of food in his hands. Food was mediocre, roast potatoes which came with the sandwich were lukewarm. Not sure whose thinking it was to make customers collect food if sat outside, would be better if staff delivered. It will need to improve before we visit for food again.

Hi. We booked afternoon tea for mothers day for my wife and step daughter. Unfortunately a terrible experience, they arrived at 2.50pm and table was booked at 3pm but didn't get a drink until 3.35pm and food was cold, tno processco which usually goes with this but staff said would be an extra £16 for a bottle. The food didn't arrive until 3.50pm even though it was booked for 3pm. Shame to say won't be eating here again and very disappointed.

We hadn't visited The Hayloft for 18 months after finding that it was just too pricey. Today, we decided to give it another try and visited with our toddler grandson. We were, once again, disappointed! Not only is the food expensive compared to other similar venues, the portions are small and delivered by the most apathetic (even grumpy) staff we've met in a while. Our grandson enjoyed riding on the tractors in the barn, playing on the slide and viewing the (few) animals on site, but we left vowing never to return. There are several other friendlier, and more reasonably priced, venues in the area which offer a similar experience and we'll be going there instead.
