Very ill mannered, they were so rude for no reason, and they try to lure people in, the environment isnt even good.

We have been numerous times before and enjoyed the food, especially carvery, and varied menu. My husband had the burger, our daughters had the buttermilk chicken burger, small plate honey chicken and steamed dumplings - all fantastic 👍. I had the Mexican beef wrap, very disappointed - dry plain beef, no lime mayo or coriander. I sent it back and got another, this time it had a mayo sauce but the beef seemed dry still and bland. I'm not a fussy eater but couldn't eat it. The staff were apologetic and very nice, offered us a free cake, much to the delight of my daughters! We've had the carvery before and I will come again but will choose wisely from the menu

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Strawbury Duck for two nights. We ate both breakfast and dinner and quite honestly we could not fault our experience. Jason, Cameron, Claire and the rest of the team were the most attentive hosts. The rooms were lovely and clean with everything you’d need; complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room and fresh towels every day. We slept like babies on the super comfy mattress!! Food - where do I start! The food is AMAZING…it’s tasty, cooked to perfection, enormous portions and quite frankly value for money. As a Coeliac, I often struggle to find a decent GF menu, especially in a pub, but any Coeliac will not have this issue at The Stawbury Duck. There was live music (sole guitarist) performing out on our first night, which created a really lovely vibe. It wasn’t too loud, so having a conversation wasn’t a problem. The Strawbury Duck is an incredibly busy pub and is very popular with walkers, cyclists and locals and we can see why. We had a lovely stay and look forward to coming back 😊

Man, that dusty shelf right above the coffee? It’s like a science experiment up there. Love the coffee, love the vibe but that thing needs a serious wipe-down. Just clean it up and the whole place instantly feels better. Easy win.👍

There are 2 cafes - the one in the picture and then another classed as the restaurant/cafe. We went to the latter for coffee first thing and that was fine, however, I asked for (and was charged for) an Americano and I am fairly sure it was instant as there seemed to be a coffee granule on the edge of the mug. Also not really clear that it was table service. Went to the one in the picture first for lunch but seemed a limited menu (breakfast cobs, ham baps, etc.) so tried the 'restaurant'. At this stage many of the tables had not been cleared and the staff took a long time to serve us. We opted for a roast lunch which was a mistake - half cooked frozen brussels, shop bought roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings. The carrots and green beans were nice and so was the meat, however, I had roast beef and got 1 small slice! Shocked when they couldn't take card payments and had a member of staff (who was much needed in the cafe) had to escort people and process their payments in one of the antiques shop.
