Service is not the best, I don’t know if is because i don’t look from here, but couldn’t help to notice on my two visits that the lady (which I am sure is a good person) was quite unfriendly and dry with us but nicest and laughing with other costumers with more local looking, maybe it’s a cultural thing. On the first visit was OK. Is the way it is.. but on the second visit i couldn’t help to reinforce my thoughts.. That is not a major problem to me. But what got me to write this review is that the forks were not properly washed. I asked for a change and they gave me another one not properly washed. Pretty disgusting. I am sorry but his needs to be communicated. Food was good, prices good. But the forks with residues of eggs from another use. Are not excusable. Sorry.

Very warm welcome. Piped music appropriate and pleasant For an Italian resturant. All staff engaging/ relaxed and interested. Cocktails of the month very goid value At 8.50 and negroni choices never come across before. Specials menu as well as main menu. Portion sizes very good. Seafood pasta best had anywhere And beautifull presentation. Limited selection of wines by the glass But prices reasonable for a city establishment.

A beautiful setting, and the atmosphere was outstanding. The service was excellent and I would especially point out that Donna the GM was exemplary in her role and that nothing was left out. 5 stars. I can't wait to go again this week with friends.

The one thing about Liverpool City Centre is there are many interesting old pub's and the Cornmarket is one of the oldest and it's one of the best.Located on Old Ropery'the Cornmarket has a fantastic interior with an old world look and feel. The pub dates from the 18th century and is full of character. The interior to this historic pub has many interesting fixture's and lot's of original feature's.There's wood panelling that was taken from a clipper ship that was called the Reina Del Pacifico and excellent seating options. If you enter from Moor street this pub looks completely different as up to the 1960s this was the Bulls Head pub. This pub was taken over by the Cornmarket and has thrived as a pub since then.We have been visiting this pub for many years and it's just as good as it's ever been. We went to here early in the afternoon and it was very busy which is how we like places as the atmosphere is better when pubs are busy. When we visited we had a few glasses of Carling brewery lagers which where first rate and were reasonably priced. Its an excellent old world pub in a fantastic area of the city centre and it's a pub that's well worth going to.(This is my fourth review of the Cornmarket). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-11.30-23.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. James Street Train Station Bus Stop-10A-10Q-18-26-N1. Train Station. James Street Train Station.
