Really good value. In times like these it makes a wonderful change. Make a profit but do not try to take advantage of these times. Staff most friendly and very professional.

Had the perfect Saturday day out at Hanover street social, me & my husband have always eaten hear after doing a bit of shopping in liverpool & brought my husbands 3 sisters & hubbys hear when there's a occasion to celebrate, brilliant service from all the staff can't do enough for u,shout out to Martin the manager who went up & beyond when the 8 of us where there on Saturday, food lovely as well,my favourite place for afternoon lunch & drinks, thank u all again,Carol & Tommy

Had a late lunch here with friends off the Express Lunch menu on Wednesday. The honey and chilli chicken wings were tasty and had a nice kick, gammon chop was good too. Others in our party had the soup, chicken pot pie and steak. Ice creams and sticky toffee puddings too. We all enjoyed. Nice, manageable portion sizes on the lunch menu and reasonable value. Been here often for a late lunch and it always seems busy and lively atmosphere no matter what day of the week. The staff are really nice and friendly.

Atmosphere - 4 Open, lively, and comfortable. Food - 3 Our first Sunday Roast disappointed. The appetizers were okay, gammon quite tasty, beef very dry and bland. The tasty gravy and vegetables were the highlight, Yorkshire pudding was bland and slightly burnt (caveat, I have never had this before so may be how it is supposed to be). Cocktail and beer was good (though limited beer selection). Dessert (toffee pudding) was very good. Service - 2 Seated quickly as we had a reservation. Our orders were taken relatively quickly but after that our servers barely saw us. I had to go to the bar myself to order another beverage. Took very long to get food, others that seated after us received food before us. Ordered coffee with our desserts which we never received. Again, took a bit to get the bill.

Amazing as always...our go to eatery ! We will always return here again and again. The food never disappoints and the ambiance complements the experience.

Booked for a group of 14 people, The Staff who arranged our reservation were great and very helpful. (George and Emma). We had pre booked our food due to the size of the party, which was excellent, service was attentive, and it was a great location with a nice atmosphere. Would certainly recommend be it for a group or individuals.

Lovely meal, great choice, service excellent. But like a lot of these venue's wine far too expensive. Would personally eat out more often, but just a glass of wine makes a meal unaffordable.

They have whole menus of gluten free dishes and vegan and dairy free dishes too. Tasty food too, well seasoned and the fish was cooked perfectly.

Met a friend for lunch. We chose here for the vegetarian menu for her. Service brilliant and we were never rushed. The variety on lunch menu is varied and good value for money. Food was delicious, excellent quality for the price for all three courses. Only issue with the restaurant was the lack of heating - customers were sitting with their coats on - no explanation from staff. Otherwise would definitely recommend it, good food done well at good price

Just out for a few beers and popped in for a quick drink. The restaurant section was full but luckily the bar area was empty. I think this proves people don't come here to drink, they come here purely for the food. If you want a quiet pint this is the place to go. Nice beer, and nice helpful staff.

We read an advertisement online for Monday Special. offer at the Hanover Street Social, Hanover Street. A cost of £19.95 for 2 courses including a bottle of wine each (this was a similar offer that the restaurant offered before covid) we expected the same offer. On arrival we were told that it was £32.50!! Hanover Social did not accept responsibility for the website that is advertising this offer. I remarked they should stop this false declaration, Hanover Street remarked it was out of their hand and could not do anything about stopping this 'False Advertisement'...... People like ourselves will book thinking you will pay £19.95 per person, not £32.50.!! I would strongly recommend that due to the cost being £32.50 per person you seek other restaurants withing Liverpool Town Centre, many have better offers than the Monday offer which is now offered by Hanover St Social.

Accommodated us as walk ins on a Saturday night. Good food, although extremely limited options for someone both gluten intolerant and vegetarian. Good atmosphere. Only comment was the red wine wasn't great. Good grape options but tasted a little on the cheap side. Great cocktails though!

Booked in for a family of four on a Sunday. We were given the normal menu and Sunday Lunch Menu. Chose fish and chips off the main menu but was told we had to have the Sunday Lunch Menu. Two courses were £26.95 so you had to have either two or three courses (but we only wanted one course). Chose roast beef and Yorkshire Pudding, served with carrots, cabbage and cauliflower cheese. Very average and nothing special. For dessert, the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. The pudding was barely warm which was disappointing. Service was very relaxed and friendly. Average lunch and quite pricey.

Went for Sunday Lunch, requested a window seat in email but this was never mentioned when seated. We were sat between two other couples, tables far to close, the lady next to us had to actually move her table to get out and then we could hear everything each were saying so no privacy and crammed in. Waitress came over with meals, put them on the next table then realised they were for us and snatched them off them.

6 of us went here for food we didn't know anything about this place 4 of us had the steak it was amazing I've tasted steaks in a lot of places but this was amazing Definitely the place to go

Visited on Saturday to celebrate my birthday and needed to leave a review to say how fantastic everything was. The food was superb as usual. The atmosphere was classy but not pretentious, you could see everyone having a great time, just as we did. The staff were outstanding. Despite having a party of ten we never had to wait for our food or drinks. One girl in particular (from Belfast, apologies I didn't catch her name) was exceptional. She was excellent an it was a pleasure to be looked after by her. Can't wait to come back. Thanks.

We had a super times at this restaurant, we remembered it was good years ago and so booked it for Auntie’s 80th birthday dinner. The staff were excellent and looked after us well. The food was beautifully served and menu choice was brilliant. Can definitely recommend .

My wife and I visited on a Sunday lunchtime and ate from the set Sunday menu. We each had 3 courses and both chose a roast for the main. All the food was absolutely delicious and the service was first class. Highly recommended

Went for Christmas lunch with my team last week. Very busy, got squashed into a corner, hectic service trying to service drinks and starters at the same time. Food was nothing to shout about. Hanover Street Social is a sort of bar/restaurant just up from John Lewis. More restaurant than bar these days I think. Popular place, especially on a Monday when there is wine for all at discount prices. We booked, so all good there. Everyone inside seemed to be having a good time. The food here is very nice - the black pudding starter with pfefferkörn sauce is iconic. Main was a chicken pot pie which, I have to say, was bursting with flavour. Surprising. I would have had dessert, but nobody else wanted it, so I demurred but also disapprove of that decision… 😆 The beer was Estrella. As it ever was. Popular beer in this part of the world. They also had the Camden Town lager, but that makes my head hurt… 😆 Lots of big parties in the night we visited. Perfect place for a meal with your work colleagues I guess. Does this place have anything to do with the Gas Street Social in Birmingham? No idea. Similar names. I’ve noticed places called ‘Social’ springing up all over the place over the last decade. Overall Experience 1. Crispy pork belly - crispy skin, pork not tender enough, sauce pairs well with purple cabbage and mashed potatoes, apple purée doesn’t goes well with overall dish 2. Black pudding with hollandaise sauce and egg benedict - really well combination , highly recommended this dish, creamy and savoury 3. Dessert - highly recommend the chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding 4. Service - friendly staff 5. Serving time - 40 mins 6. Affordability - a bit pricy 7. Atmosphere - clean

Visited again recently with a reservation and arrival was great, loved that hey had found us a window seat for 2. Feedback - Was not as busy as usual but drinks took 40 mins after 3 moans and 2 apologies from our server about them “not being ready at the bar”. Hot food followed soon after - delicious Pork Belly for both of us !! Lovely food and great atmosphere! I had the Gammon Sunday Roast with my partner having a gluten free Chicken Sunday Roast. Could not fault the food at all, absolutely fantastic! I had a Banoffee Pot for dessert. Would fully recommend it to anyone thinking of a Sunday Roast, especially with the gluten free option

Had a colleague’s leaving party here. The food was excellent and the restaurant accommodated a large party really well. Service, food and location was really good. The place was full and totally buzzing, a great time was had by all 👍
