The Brain Charity 'cafe' itself has only just finished being updated so it's borderline hit/miss as to what food you can get, as they re-get routine going! It sells drinks etc kept in a chiller which is a nice touch. Went in there to their 'Coffee and chat' (first Monday every month) and waiting to picked up had a thing of soup HOMEMADE! - been in numerous times now JUST to eat as food is so much nicer than TJ's which I used to go when I frequented that 'Area' in Liverpool. One or BEST thing is, I myself being a vegan recently paid these guys a visit to find "we do Vegan and Veggie" on a board - nice touch, think I'll be back more! Cafe itself has about 20 tables, some set as doubles, fours and by lift (currently out of order) is/are two 'school benches' sit 8/10 either side, which is great if say you, and family want to 'Hide from rain' - but don't want/have to push 3 smaller tables together, to accommodate you all! The site itself is amazing with a wealth of knowledge on tap in the 'information/library' located upstairs. You are unable to take books away but if you need help there are tons of books magazines and people with extensive knowledge - the latter are harder to find, or have been times I've gone in to ask stuff! Had to ask a person eating who was only a step above loiter!

This cafe does really cheap fresh soup, sandwiches and baked potatoes, with some extra healthy snacks as well. You can fill up for less than a fiver here even if you've got a huge appetite like me. The soup is always really tasty and its £2 for a big bowl with bread, and you can have that and a sandwich for £3.50. It's for a good cause as well so you can feel good about where your money is going.

We found the place by accident. It is a lovely little cafe which is open to the general public and to people visiting the Brain Charity. I guess that the profit is given to the charity to help it function. Well done to everyone there.

We visited as a group of 3 on a busy lunchtime, we were lucky to get a table as it was so busy. It had a great buzz and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional- very tasty and lovely sized portions. I’d definitely love to come back next time I’m in Liverpool.

The one thing about Liverpool City Centre is there are many interesting old pub's and the Cornmarket is one of the oldest and it's one of the best.Located on Old Ropery'the Cornmarket has a fantastic interior with an old world look and feel. The pub dates from the 18th century and is full of character. The interior to this historic pub has many interesting fixture's and lot's of original feature's.There's wood panelling that was taken from a clipper ship that was called the Reina Del Pacifico and excellent seating options. If you enter from Moor street this pub looks completely different as up to the 1960s this was the Bulls Head pub. This pub was taken over by the Cornmarket and has thrived as a pub since then.We have been visiting this pub for many years and it's just as good as it's ever been. We went to here early in the afternoon and it was very busy which is how we like places as the atmosphere is better when pubs are busy. When we visited we had a few glasses of Carling brewery lagers which where first rate and were reasonably priced. Its an excellent old world pub in a fantastic area of the city centre and it's a pub that's well worth going to.(This is my fourth review of the Cornmarket). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-11.30-23.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. James Street Train Station Bus Stop-10A-10Q-18-26-N1. Train Station. James Street Train Station.

Nice cup of coffee thanks! Greeted by Holly who was chatty and took my order with advice when asked for (type of milk used, how many shots). Not a regular at Starbucks but would return. Holly wished me a happy holiday too! This after the the smoothest transit trough the airport ever. Lots to like today at Liverpool JL airport.

Lovely surroundings, comfy sofas, very tasty local gins, and a tasting plate of 3 small beers. Perfect, couldn't wish for better.
