Really lovely food and I haven't had a mocha that good in a long time! We got our daughter a hot chocolate, and when it arrived asked if they had any marshmallows... they came back with the biggest marshmallows ever! Happy kid = Happy parents!

51 years I have spent on this planet and never liked leeks that much. Obviously I have never had them prepared as well as the buttered leeks I had today - absolutely delicious with the grilled cheese sourdough. The filter coffee is fantastic too.

I came here for my birthday brunch with my family. The food was spot on, and each bit of our meals complimented each other. Our freshly squeezed orange juices and take-away sweet treats went down nicely as well. The vibe was relaxed and service was great.

As someone who has anxiety around eating out alone, I thought I would try somewhere local and found coffee and fandisha and I'm glad I did. I walked in the place felt so cosy and homely and was quite quiet. I ordered the cutest hot chocolate I have ever had which also tasted gorgeous and a jerk chicken sourdough grill, which was so jucy and flavourful, and tasted just like the jerk chicken my sister used to make for me while I was growing up. The price for this was very reasonably priced as well! I will definately be back again! Thank you for the amazing food and drinks and for making me feel comfortable!

Went here Sunday afternoon with my toddler. I'm a matcha lover and the organic matcha latte here suited my taste. Also ordered mocha and granola. They're lovely. Comfy ambience also.

This area of town is so poorly served if you need a toasted sandwich, or pasty type thing, with a coffee or tea. In essence, you've got 92° and that's it. I googled coffee and was amazed to find this place and open on a Sunday morning. Sadly, everything is expensive in this part of town, and you're just stuck with that. Expect to pay London prices in the area, and you won't be horrified. The cheese toastie here cost me £7.50, but at least it was substantial, and the bread was nice. Truly horrific price, but I'd imagine their rent must also be horrific, so give these real independents some headroom. A black coffee was £3, and that seemed cheap compared to the toastie. Both were really nice and enjoyable though. I really liked that the atmosphere in the cafe was very chilled out, and the staff were all really nice, relaxed and friendly. Obviously reflects the way the place is run, so well done to whoever owns/manages this place. Nice to see people happy in their jobs. Overall, a nice place, with prices typical of the area. I would definitely come here again.

Would give it 10s for everything. So good that we returned the following day. Down a quiet little side street, a really calm and welcoming atmosphere inside, and the staff were super friendly. Presentation and quality of the food is really, really impressive. Between two of us, we tried about 5 items from the breakfast menu over 2 days and everything was so good. The coffee is of equally high quality and taste, as are the cakes/pastries. One of my favourite breakfast joints of the last few years. Would return if back in Liverpool.

We visited this hidden gem on recommendation of my brother who lives a few blocks away. The staff were lovely, the ambiance amazing and moreover the chai latte was delicious. I would definitely pay them a visit again.

Visited today, menu was limited due to items out of stock which was unfortunate, there was a poor choice to choose from. Not many sweet treats on offer either. Last time I visited this place was buzzing today it was very quiet when I arrived it did pick up with other customers.

May be the rudest encounter I’ve had in a coffee shop, service was slow, no acknowledgment that we were waiting. The girl that served us seemed like she didn’t want to be there, got our order wrong and effectively blamed us for saying it wrong when we both have the same order everywhere. Slamming milk bottles down cause she was annoyed that she had to remake a coffee. & the actual coffee was burnt.

We came to Liverpool for a day trip. I researched this place before coming and found it. Although there were many good reviews, I was still a little worried because I found it on the internet. We visited Liverpool all day and were very tired. When we came to the cafe, we hadn't eaten anything since the morning. Your teammate Ofilia greeted us with a smile. The amount of coffee was more than I expected and the taste was delicious. The environment was very clean and this was very important to us. We couldn't stay long because the place was about to close, but the sweet coffee and smiling face relieved our tiredness :) I must also say that the apple and almond cake was also very delicious. It is definitely a very nice place. I wish them continued success.

On our first visit to Liverpool we googled somewhere for good coffee. This place came up so we paid a visit. Would definitely recommend.... coffee was great and my pesto eggs were delicious!

We arrived in Liverpool from the U.S. and needed a casual lunch before we could check into our Airbnb. We saw this place was nearby and had great reviews. The food was lighter and made with fresh ingredients. The service was fantastic and the staff was the most friendly and welcoming (especially nice after traveling so far!) It's also a kid-friendly spot as we went with my 5-year-old and other babies came to eat while we were there (they have high chairs). We'd definitely go back and recommend it to others!

Googled somewhere for breakfast and Google took us here , eventually! Best to put address in map as link takes you a very long route. A small establishment that has a limited menu but what they do have us very tasty, well presented and served by some very friendly staff. If we had found this place earlier in our trip we would have gone daily instead of some places in Albert Dock. Thanks, we will be back some day.

Nice coffee, very friendly girls working there, the coffee was good, they have dairy free and vegan options aswell, my favourite part is the view, you can see the church from the window, the bathroom. Very clean and cozy, the only thing I didn't like much is that they had like a techno music going on the background and I was trying to concentrate really hard to finish my studies. Would've been nice a classical music or something more relaxing for a coffee place. Didn't eat anything but the food seemed very nice. Will come back for their breakfasts

Popped in here during a weekend in Liverpool . It’s a little hidden away down a side street . Nice coffee and breakfast is lovely if you want something a little different to your full English . The refried beans were v.nice along with free range eggs .

A fabulous find! Coffee has become somewhat habitual...but all too often we simply make do. Homogenised, generic coffee shops that feel familiar and comfortable, serve us what we expect, what we want and what we need. But recently I've tried to be a little more daring, a little adventurous even - though there is a limit to how much coffee can be considered an adventure 🙃 So, when I found myself in Liverpool recently, wandering the streets of the Baltic creative area (early as ever for an appointment), I stumbled across Coffee & Fandisha. What glorious luck I was blessed with. It's a little hidden gem, but was quite busy too so I can't lay claim to discovering it! I wandered in to an airy clean and welcoming coffee shop with a menu large enough for my (old man) eyes to read. I spied a cortado, and not really knowing what one was I decided to ask, and then order. I was blessed. Having sat out on the street at a little table, my cortado arrived in a cool little cup with no handle. It was half espresso (I think about a double) half steamed milk. The taste was sublime, the milk just cut the intensity of the espresso slightly (I read cortado means cut) but it embraced and complimented the flavour of the coffee rather than challenged it. It was delicious. It isn't the longest drink, and had I been as early as I normally am for my appointment, I would definitely have had another. Sadly I had to leave, but I left very happy. I must add that the barista was extremely helpful, very friendly and clearly very skilled. She complimented the whole vibe of the venue wonderfully and made the experience what it was. Sometimes we turn left, off down a road for a reason we don't quite understand, to then find a place we've walked past many times. This was one of those times. I encourage people to step away from routine, to try something different, to step away from the norm. If you do, you too will find places like Coffee & Fandisha and you will be delighted you did. Coffee shouldn't simply be a routine, it should be a reward. Treat yourself.

Nice coffee and friendly staff. Great ambiance for enjoying a cup or doing a bit of work. The barista was very knowledgeable and gave me a full run down of her coffees with info on country, variety, tasting notes, etc. Would highly recommend!

This independent cafe is a little gem. We used them for a catering event recently - the food was delicious. You have to try the banana cake - It's amazing. Kim and all her staff are excellent.

One of the very best coffee shops in Liverpool (likely the best we've visited while we were here). The staff was amazingly friendly to begin with, the food very delicious and the coffee even better. Their newly refurbished place looks great and we'd come back here anytime. The location is a little more remote and hence the quieter atmosphere which we very much enjoyed after a night without sleep in our "party hotel". I truly recommend this place.

Really nice setting with wonderful staff. Good selection of pastries. The coffee could have been a little better but I think I was just unfortunate with the shot of espresso I had. Would certainly go back for more.

Club member and wife visiting the city of Liverpool went to this small, independent coffee house upon recommendation. Nice coffee. Liked the reusable, sustainable plastic ‘crockery’. Good After Eight mint cake, on a deal when you buy with coffee. A bit out of the way, but worth a look if you’re near the cathedral.

Quality and service Glad to see the return of this lovely hidden gem. Newly refurbished, this cafe has retained the quality of the coffee. We had coffee with portugués tarts which tasted home made or definitely small baker. The coffee was served in amazing cups. Which apparently are made from waste coffee. The menu looks fab so can’t wait to go back

I found this cafe through a coffee blog, it is slightly out the way but worth the walk ! Delicious coffee and the atmosphere is wonderful . I also tried the vegan brioche sandwich which was amazing . Definitely recommend .

Truly incredible home made bakes made to perfection. I've tasted a variety of the bakes here and thr banana bread is outstanding. I would consider myself a coffee connoisseur and the coffee is here is the best in Liverpool, without doubt. I recommend the filter coffee, black. I also bought a few bags of their Guatemalan coffee beans to brew when I'm back home in London! Truly impressive coffee shop.

I came here for the first time yesterday, and I can't praise it enough! The ladies at Coffee & Fandisha were so welcoming. After enquiring about dairy being in one of their breakfast dishes, we were recommended a vegan Bakewell tart that was fresh out of the oven - how could we resist! The coffee was the nicest I've had in a long time, the food (avo on toast/breakfast brioche) was fresh, very well seasoned & in good portion sizes - and the fresh-out-the-oven cake was obviously incredible (I'm a baker, so I can vouch with experience!) On top of that I felt safe, with enough space to social distance. Cannot wait to come back here, thank you!
