Great little pub with fantastic staff before going to the match 👏

Great value beer served by wonderfully helpful staff

I love this pub, it's so relaxing and margie (landlady), Bob (landlord) and all the customers r so friendly

Lovely pub, very elegently decorated for the Christmas season. Lots of tv's for sport. Food when it finally arrived tasted amazing. The reason I knocked 2 stars of for service is because I felt that one member of the bar staff let the side down, not once but twice. We ordered food as soon as we arrived when the pub was pretty empty. We are pretty patient people but had to go and check on the food when we saw a table who came in 15 minutes after us get their food. A seperate member of staff to who took the original order apologised and our food arrived 15 mins later(it was delicious). Needed a drink halfway through as it was spicey, went to order a drink at the bar and was told by the same member of staff who we ordered the food with that they would bring it over as it had ran out. The drink never arrived and we were on a time restraint by this point so asked for our money back for the drink. They said they hadn't had time to change it as the pub had got busy and gave us our money back or so we thought. On checking we were only refunded half the amount. Would have been 5 stars all the way if it wasn't for these two mistakes.

Friendly staff and atmosphere after a disappointing result home to Fulham last weekend great place to meet up with family and drowned our sorrows up the toffees.

The Abbey is a great little pub and the bar staff are second to none, you never wait more than a couple of seconds to be served as they look to catch your eye and ask your order as soon as you approach the bar. Very friendly pub with reasonably priced ale, and the draught San Miguel is sound too.

We live locally but hadn't been to the abbey for years , so we walked down and as you entered the pub all we could hear was laughing , the bar was clear no queuing , greeted by the manager warmly got our drinks and sat down and we were made welcome by a small group of people having a good time ,we stayed for a couple more drinks then head off , we'll go back soon.

Situated by Goodison Park home of Everton F.C and Stanley Park is The Abbey Pub ,a pub I haven't been to in over 30 years but I must say I was totally impressed with our latest visit. I love the look of this pub 😍, its only small but superb,sort of two roomed ,the main room is dominated by a solid wood serving bar, lovely decor and furnishings and despite its relatively small size there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its a classic British pub,the type of pub that made me fall in love with our great pubs spread throughout our wonderful country. We were here on a Tuesday afternoon, we gave our details of name, phone number or email address to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands and ordered a cider each ,ciders were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. My cider was really good, a really crisp,sparkling cider served iced cold ,on a hot afternoon a really refreshing brew indeed 😋 ,it was just do good being in such a wonderful old pub enjoying a quality brew. We really enjoyed our cider's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time, it certainly won't be 30 years till my next visit. The Abbey Pub is easy to locate along Walton Lane. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 11am till 11pm. A great pub,if your in the area most definitely well worth a visit.

The Abbey On Walton Lane Is A Lovely Old Pub That Has Been Here For As Long As I Can Remember.Housed In A Gorgeous Old Building With A Traditional Pub Exterior.An Excellent Pub With Traditional Pub Interior Decor And Good Seating Options.We Went In Here After Walking Around Stanley Park And As We Hadn't Been Here For Well Over Thirty Years Decided To Go In.On Entry We Gave Our Track And Trace Details And One Of The Staff Took Our Order Of A Glass Of Carling Brewery Fruit Ciders Which Where Served In Perfect Condition And Very Well Priced.This Is A Great Little Pub With Very Friendly Staff And A Pub That I Would Visit Again.Easy To Locate From Newby Street Bus Stop it's Across The Road.(This Is My First Review Of The Abbey).
