Unbelievable. Have eyed this place up for years and decided to finally come here for our anniversary last night. Oh my word. What an experience. Beautiful atmosphere. Amazing strong tasty drinks and the waiter was just great! The music is fantastic and the whole experience we really adored. Can't wait to return when we have the money 😅

Lovely chill petite cafe, French vibes with great wine list. We selected Bordeaux red wine st. Emilion grand cru. The staffs were so attentive. Amazing live jazz band. Would highly recommend.

One of our favourite places to go in Liverpool. Service would get 10 stars if I could. They really care about what they serve and you can tell. Outstanding selection of drinks. The proof of how good this place is is that you may struggle to get straight in as it's always full, but it is worth the wait. A must for anyone visiting the city.

lovely little wine and cocktail bar with a nice atmosphere and quite a French 'feel'. We had pre dinner cocktails which were great, and we'd also go there for wines. We didn't try the food so have not rated this

So lucky to have found this venue, after 2 months in France, we fell in love with this place. Starting with a red wine & cheese plate mid afternoon, the venue had a gorgeous moody feel about it that enveloped you & eased you into the evening. Fabulous wine recommendation & cheese selection. We left but returned late the following day to a transformed swooning jazz bar & had the best espresso martini we’ve ever had, & another cheese plate. Again, we were lucky to be well looked after by staff & will remain a fond memory. Highly recommend.

Absolutely enjoyed every second I spent in this place. Warm, friendly and cosy atmosphere, super kind and welcoming staff, beyond comparison high quality delicious coffee accompanied with the best oat milk… Certainly willing to visit if I could ever get the chance to visit Liv again!

Nice little french style bar. Food Menu limited to snacks, like cheeseboard (not big enough for 2 people), padron peppers, olives, bread and oil, nuts etc. We had the cheeseboard and padron peppers. Cheese served with grapes, figs, pickled onions, chilli relish and crackers - very tasty. Service was good - not particularly busy when we arrived but obviously popular as time went on. You cannot pre-book tables - only a walk in service. Disabled toilet available all on ground level. Great place for cocktails and wines.

Great Sunday evening spent here. Lovely atmosphere, not too big but get there early to get a seat, Always people queueing outside as its so popular. Service is brilliant, our gentleman host was fab, really attentive. The crooner singer was awesome aswell. Highly recommend this gem!

Probably one the best bars in town, from the live music to the sit down service it's just brilliant, you could actually be in a parisian bar it's that authentic, well worth a visit. 👍 can't wait till next visit....

As regulars at petit cafe my boyfriend and I can't sing its praises enough. The staff here feel like friends, always greeting us with a smile and remembering our favourite drinks. Speaking of drinks, the cocktails are hands down the best in the city. And the atmosphere? It's unbeatable. Whether we're catching up with fellow friends or enjoying the live music, every visit feels like coming home. This place is the best bar in the city, The atmosphere is amazing and the drinks are unreal. The staff are so kind and welcoming and you can tell the staff have so much pride in the work they do for the bar. Me and my girlfriend always come here for date nights and we can't recommend it enough. James and Rey :)

The house made cocktails are great and the glasses are kept frozen along with some spirits. This shows they care and that they want it to get to the guest as cold as possible. I felt welcomed with a wave when I entered and sat quickly. It was busy for a Monday at 4:30pm, I got served quick with great hospitality.

Was a great vibe and entertainment was really good. Then the most horrible of people on the table next to ours approached a table near the door with a family of Asian customers and suggested they leave as they weren't ordering enough drinks. This was rude the family ordered plenty and were enjoying the entertainment and felt so uncomfortable that they left. The horrible people were proud of themselves even clunked glasses at the fact they had ruined the poor families night and were smug with themselves. Mind me and my girlfriend had empty glasses on our table and hadn't ordered a drink for 10 mins I can assume it was based on their ethnicity. I had to be calmed down by my girlfriend and refrained from saying anything and had to leave. The most disappointing thing was how the staff handled this disgraceful situation. I would be embarrassed of that sort of behaviour being tolerated in my establishment. Such a shame as we were having a good night up to this point

We went here for drinks, they have a good selection of classic and modern cocktails. The atmosphere was lovely, you could sit there all day drinking and chatting. They even had jazz music on that night.

What a find. Good atmosphere, surprisingly good food (and the best-presented cheese I have seen). The kind of place you could have your morning coffee, a light lunch or a lovely evening with friends, wine and jazz.

A gem of a place, whether it be in the day time, or evening. The French interior style is quirky. I have been here a couple of times just after lunch just for a drink. A warm welcome, the cocktail menu is worth a visit, and the music was great for my taste. I'd like to visit later on the evening, probably need to book a table.

Very pretty bar where you can find a quantity of French drinks, nicely decorated. Small groups come to play music. The prices are however excessive and the owners do not speak French which is a shame

Arrived at approx.3.15pm.there was 5 in our party,one who was a none drinker and 4 who drank beer wine etc.We went here because the none drinker in our party would be drinking tea,so this place suited us so we thought.We were their until the evening quite happily enjoying the place until when evening came our none drinker couldnt have tea any more because the waiter may spill it on somebody,yes that is what was said 🤔Its called a cafe with tea and coffee on the menu,laughable,but very annoying,so we decided to go elsewhere,we had actually spent £114,and would have spent a lot more during the rest of the evening, if only we could have been served the one pot of tea.It is a shame because I am sure we would have visited again,but with this rule in place I am afraid we will be taking out trade elsewhere.I think I know the real reason why tea wouldnt be served on a busy evening with limited space,and not the ridiculous excuse that was given !

For a place with the title as a 'cafe' , then a 'policy' to not serve a cup of tea to one non-drinker after 6pm was disappointing despite the drinkers spending over £100 on alcohol. It did not say that on the menu that hot drinks would not be served after a certain time. Such a shame as apart from that it was a good evening, I appreciate it turns to a bar more in the evening but for a non-drinker it did spoil the end of the night and we would have stayed.

This is my favorite place in Liverpool. Good place with good people and good music - is intimate, cozy and beautiful. Laura, Zara and Hanah are amazing and warm people, helpful and careful ❤️ Thank u a lot for the experience!

Tolles französisches Café bzw. Weinbar, sehr gemütlich, tolles Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis , mitten in Chinatown , tolles Personal, es gibt gute Weine zu fairen Preisen und auch Kleinigkeiten zu essen , z.B. eine Käseplatte oder gemischt mit Salami oder Schinken, sehr zu empfehlen. Urige Einrichtung, typisch Französisch.

Very pricey, £40 for four drinks in a tired French themed café (it's a jazz bar in some evenings I've been told) also did the classic put (tap) water in fancy bottles on the table then charged us for them which we didn't want couldn't be bothered arguing over it...

Really nice, quirky place to enjoy a good glass of wine. We didn't have food so can't comment on that. Very atmospheric. We'll be back.

Ever since the departure of Charlotte a few years ago, apart from the chap with the arm braces, this establishment has become more ‘matter of fact’ than personable. Staff, sharp in appearance with multiple tattoos etc do not equate a vibe. This joint has been around a few tears and has become ‘Liverpool Industry compliant’ in regard to clientele frequenting. A blast back in the day, now, just another bar. Staff will not engage in conversation in any way shape or fashiom.

Fantastic find. We were in here 8.30ish on a Thursday evening. Live jazz, great atmosphere and lovely cocktails. Bar staff so efficient and friendly- we shall definitely be going there next time we are in Liverpool.

Petite Cafe currently my favourite bar in Liverpool! Lovely atmosphere inside. Only lit my dim lamps and candles. The decorating is so French and tasteful. Water provided when you’re seated. Table service only which I love. I had white wine and my husband had the beer. Jazz band from 8pm on a Saturday is brilliant. Staff are so lovely and attentive! Can’t wait to bring more of my family here

What an amazing little place. Popped in early on a Sunday and found it very friendly with great table service. One moan was the door was wide open so you needed your big coat. Went back later in the evening and again it was brilliant. Unfortunately we missed the jazz band. Anyway, the cocktails were great, the music was brill and the waiter was hilarious. Would highly recommend.

I couldn't find the Allerton branch on here so this review concerns them. I went with my friend for a hot drink as we like interesting, different cafes as opposed to Costa etc. We loved the decor and it was a nice continental looking place. Girl who served us was friendly and we took the bill, paid cash and left. My friend and I were chatting outside checking what bus we were going to get back home and the male member of staff ran out and accused us of doing a runner without paying. Firstly, the girl served us so he should have checked with her before accusing someone and secondly shouldn't he have used his common sense- if you're going to do a 'dine and dash' you'd leg it, not stand outside chatting and looking up bus times on our phones. We're 40+ years of age carrying shopping bags not scallies.

Couldn't fault this place. Can take a while to get a table but it's well worth the wait. The cocktails were amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. Definitely going to be a regular!

Went to the Petit Cafe with my husband this Friday night just gone as part of his 40th birthday celebrations in amazing Liverpool! Such a fab venue. The cocktails were truly spectacular - I had a really delicious one with lovely apricot flavours blended with brandy and absinthe - sounds lethal (!) but it honestly tasted fantastic - the mixologist is a true pro. We found all the staff super friendly and the venue is cosy and perfect for an autumn night. We were entertained by the truly fabulous Alan - what a voice, what an act - highly recommended. An all round super enjoyable visit, we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Liverpool ❤️

Great little place. We’d just dined elsewhere, and had time to kill before going on to a concert. This place was just the ticket - lovely ambience, like a little corner of Paris transplanted to Liverpool, friendly attentive service and a bottle of Carmenère to while away a relaxing hour or so. Complimentary water served at table is a nice touch. Definitely one for regular visits.

Great coffee and cocktails but music om the speakers was very loud for a small venue. Overall, definitely a good date spot

Went here for cocktails and loved it. The cocktails were intriguing, the jazz music was smooth, the ambiance was electrifying and the table service was jovial and friendly. The only small downsides are the drinks can take quite a while to come to you (because they're so busy and making them diligently) and if you're in line with the door which is open in winter, you're going to be cold.

November 21, so it’s taken me a while. What a place! Lovely to go to a bar that feels authentic - our ‘cocktail waiter’ was great. Shame I can’t show the video of him dancing to the singer. We will be back x

Fantastic random find whilst searching for "cheese board near me". Ambiance and music fantastic. House wine excellent and cheese board out of this world. Cleanest and best smelling toilet in Liverpool. If you want a great couple of hours of total relaxation. Bottle of wine and cheese board for 2 £40. Worth every penny. I will be back

We had been looking for a cheese board one Monday night to go along with a lovely glass of red wine. Googled cheese boards near my location 😄 and this wee gem popped up. It was a beautiful cafe, great atmosphere, fab music and lovely staff. A must if you are in Liverpool.

Lovely little Jazz spot! Me and my girlfriend visited on a Sunday night for a few drinks. Fab little date night spot, ticks all the boxes quaint, cosy and romantice. Staff were lovely and the service was spot on. The Jazz performer Alan was class, just make sure you get there early to grab a seat at the weekend. Can't wait to go back :)

Popped in here for lunch on Sunday. We had a beautiful glass of suggested Red wine at correct temperature that was excellent to go with the cheese and meat board which I would have to say is one of the best we’ve had. Highly recommended.

Wonderful, intimate bar that had a live jazz band. Pez, the front of house staff member, was absolutely amazing and made our experience that much better. The drinks were brilliantly made and the cheese we ordered was very fresh. Would definitely recommend this place. At the end, Pez gave us postcards which had a drawing of him on it, so we asked him to sign it. He did with a feather and ink!

The word cool and sophisticated was invented for petit da coin.. Petit da coin is a most delicious and delightful place in Liverpool and it could be anywhere on the continent. It has the ambience of a French café or an Italian bar and makes for a wonderful relaxing evening Myself and the girlfriend always plan a visit anytime we're in Liverpool and we are never disappointed. The whole experience is always just right. Augmenting all of this is the quirky barman who is so accomplished and accommodating. Take this Friday last week for example. When we arrived there was a dearth of availability. Within minutes of our arrival and we were leaving to go somewhere else the barman came out of the bar to tell us that a couple we're settling their bill and leaving. We hurried in and gained our seat for the rest of the evening. Marvellous place and we will return again and again.

Popped in here with my partner October 2022! We were out day before his birthday celebrating and had a booking at the quirky quarter over the road but we were a little early so decided on a drink first and found here! It wasn’t too busy as it was the afternoon the barman welcomed us and was really nice and friendly he even have a homeless guy some water! Anyway the cocktails were lovely and the atmosphere was nice we even popped in again after we had been the quirky quarter!

We only had drinks - a bit on the expensive side but worth every penny, really fantastic cocktails and excellent, lovely staff!

What a delightful place! Went on a Saturday night to enjoy some live jazz and taste some fabulous cocktails. Place is quite small, so you may need to queue, but not for long. Service was great, and the ambience was fantastic. Felt like I was back in Paris for a few hours.

This place ticked all of our boxes for a nice relaxed evening during our stay at Liverpool. The service was excellent and very attentive. We really enjoyed the enthusiasm of the man who served us. He felt like a host. Fantastic atmosphere. Really good music being played throughout. Every drink we had was delicious. After seeing someone else being delivered food, it looked so good we went for some ourselves even though we didn't intend to eat. Couldn't recommend this experience enough.

Visited on a Thursday evening and the place was full and a jazz outfit playing. Everything was top notch, the staff were really friendly and very knowledgeable. we opted for cocktails which were around £10 per drink, absolutely worth it. Some of the best cocktails in the city. The live music sets the perfect vibes for the bar. There's nothing to dislike we had a really good evening and will be back again.

Great atmosphere in this little bar. Gets very busy, but if you queue there will eventually be a seat for you. The jazz on this night was contemporary jazz with guitars and double bass. Good musicians, but we found the music too complex. Nice for an hour to soak up the ambiance of the place.

We arrived with our dog on Saturday afternoon following our Liverpool Pride march. It was a lovely event. We waited to be seated. I explained my dog may yap first as I sort out his water and treats. We gave treats to the dog seated by us and apologised as we looked at the menu. The waitress then asked if we could move to another table and thought best if we didn't sit by this dog. There didn't appear to be an issue with both dogs. I didn't feel comfortable and thought best to leave. Sorry for any inconvenience but we had walked for hours and this was the first time we sat down. I have been before with my dog and made to feel welcome.

If you are after a little cozy cafe with warmth, character and save pounds travelling to a cafe corner in Paris this is the one. The service was charming and their cheese board was magnifique ♥️. A must visit if you are in Liverpool.

We have visited this establishment three times for the live music. It is small and intimate with excellent drinks and small bites. The cheese & meat boards are a work of art! The mixed cocktails and wine are delicious. We particularly loved all three of the live music acts that they had performing. The staff is friendly and attentive. This will be the first place that we visit on our next trip to Liverpool.

So sad to be making this review as I have spent so much time in this bar since moving to Liverpool. Have just been turned away from this bar on my graduation day as we were a group of 7. Despite 5 tables being free with more than enough chairs, the staff decided they couldn’t fit us in. I’m left to speculate whether this was because they couldn’t be bothered to move a couple tables (which were next to each other) together. The staff lacked apology and smirked when we left! Customers even looked shocked that they had turned us down as the bar was half empty. A shame to have lost out on £200+! Very sad as this is my go to bar in Liverpool and previous managers have treated us with so much respect and loveliness. Probably won’t be coming again now.
