The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Eden North West

Before making the hike up to High Cup Nick (must do!), we stopped in at the Pantry and Janice made up sandwiches to take with us. Lovely. Then when we came back down, a little weary, perfect coffee and home made sponge cake was waiting for us. Thanks for looking after us Janice.

The course was in great shape, the food was high quality and excellent value, and the staff could not have been more friendly. Definitely worth a visit for any golfers in the Lake District area.

What a wonderful find. Great service, food. Lovely atmosphere. They couldn't do enough to help you. The lovely bit was the pin board with vouchers. If you need a brew, for whatever reason, there is one there for you. Such a kind hearted gesture. Wishing you every success

Dog friendly, good choice, good food, fast service as tables full. Was able to sit in shade with grateful dogs and plenty of water for them.

Party of 7. Unfortunately we Arrived too early (35 mins to be precise as we had travelled up from Cheshire), only one table came in the same time as us. No other tables occupied. Place was empty, So didn’t see it as a problem Was told we would have to wait and appreciated that we could sit at the table designated for us and have a drink, Whilst they served the other table who came in at the same table as they were first. Totally understandable. An hour and 10 mins later (30 mins after our reservation time) we still were waiting to be allowed to order our food and had not been given any of the starting bread, even though the only table in had had there pre nibbles then starter and were onto the start of their mains. We got frustrated as the place was empty, this simply isn’t Michelin service. Couldn’t even comment on food as was not allowed to order until the right time which never came. Service was terrible. We left and definitely would not go back or recommend. This business will certainly lose money if they can only serve one table at a time. If that’s their policy then I would suggest making it a one table restaurant.

We have been going to this lovely cafe for many years as it has a great atmosphere. The food is good and well priced with good sized portions all served with a smile and chat even when busy. You can tell a good cafe when they get so much repeat business.

Home cooked food, always piping hot and fresh.if shopping in Penrith we always eat here and have never been disappointed, it’s not high end but good basic and tasty food. The staff will go out of their way to accommodate requests and substitute items if available.

Looked like a proper cafe from the outside, wasn’t disappointed Quiet, clean, friendly staff. Nice coffee, ordered a bacon roll, not stingy on the bacon Full breakfast for hubby Very nice indeed

This dinner experience far exceeded my expectations. It was a true white tablecloth dinner. I've eaten at many other fine NH restaurants, but they are just imposters compared to this. We rode in the dome car. It has perfect climate control, so don't think you'll be in a hot humid car. The seats were very comfortable. The train was spotless. I guarantee you will be as impressed as I was. If you want a romantic dinner, this is it, especially if you ride in the dome car. Request table 1. BTW, the food was excellent!!!! The train experience was gentle and scenic.

Pricey but you get real local food with great quality. Lovely interior.

Comfortably our best dining experience in the Lake District. The food was exactly what I want from a good restaurant - innovative and delicious combinations that I would never manage to create myself. Our waiter was attentive and charming and the general vibe was relaxed and unpretentious. My wife had the very reasonable 3 course set menu for £30 and I went a la carte, but although the final bill was quite high, we felt the price was justified by the quality. Highly recommended.

We go to The Bridge about 4 times per year. We are not very extravagant but when we do eat out we want it to be better than I can make at home. Any guest we bring with us all love it too. Every meal we’ve had here has been excellent! My favourites are Twice Baked Cheese Soufflé, The Seafood Linguini, my hubby loves the Fish & Chips (he has this every time he goes, lol) . My son loves the Squid starter and I also love the Pate when it’s on. I had a gorgeous fish course in spring but I forget the name of the fish which was the whitest fish I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend Bridge Bistro.

Service much better than 2 of the other places we tried. Very good food and amount for cost. Would have liked my baked potato hotter but still good. Def going back

If you like ice cream, you will love this place. Excellent range of superb ice cream at a very reasonable price. Great to be able to sit and enjoy it whilst looking over to the Pennines with the production team (Jersey cows) chomping away. Very friendly staff.
