Exploring around this part of the city my twin brother and I decided to drop by this Starbucks outlet, been here before on many occasions over the years, always had a positive experience and so it proved on our latest visit to here. A decent enough Starbucks, interior is superb, typical Starbucks decor and furnishings, glass fronted serving counters showcase the goodies on offer and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe, its just a really good cafe to unwind in. We ordered a cappuccino coffee each, these were served steaming hot, we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our coffee's. A big fan of the coffee served in Starbucks, its consistant in all their outlets and their cappuccino is a particular favourite of mine . We both really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to this particular Starbucks we had a great time. This Starbucks is easy to locate along Northgate Street, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, 7.30am till 7pm. Sunday, 8.30am till 6pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

I’ve visited this establishment on a few occasions, today I came in for breakfast and a coffee. Plenty of parking spaces and good sized beer garden with lovely decor. Don’t forget to log your car registration details on entering the pub! Staff are friendly and hard working. I was served quickly but it was very quiet as I visited at 9am. Food was served fast and all my food was hot and to specification but I didn’t get a check back to make sure everything was ok with my food. I love that when you buy a coffee you get free refills. The best thing about the breakfast and coffee is that you get all this for under £5, I ordered a traditional breakfast and free coffee refills. The pub was very clean inside and out but quite behind the times with regards to decor and the toilets are quite run down but you can see that the staff have done there best to keep the place clean and tidy. There is a free activity sheet for the children and I love the free Wetherspoons magazine. I would love for the staff to be a bit more interactive with the customers but I could see that they were a little short staffed at times. The pub interior could definitely do with updating, especially the men’s toilets hence the average review, my score would have been very good if the decor was improved. Every time I come to this pub I always have a good experience, the staff are always running around and working hard but sometimes this can be detrimental to the customer service as staff are a little overstretched because of staff shortage/tight budgets. The general atmosphere is relaxing and friendly, I would recommend this pub because the prices are really good, the staff are friendly and it’s generally a clean pub, how can you complain when a pint of san Miguel is £3.40? If you have children there’s not much to do except the activity sheet so bring some stuff for the kids to do. I will definitely visit this pub again, keep up the good work.

I went today to get a coffee and the lady whose name was jasmine made my coffee, she didn’t make it right so I kindly asked her if she added in the cookie peices which I payed extra for, she look at me giving me a dirty look rolling her eyes saying “no I did not” when I asked her if she would be able to add them she was talking to me very rude and sarcastic and emptied the cup in the sink and threw the cup on the floor. She had awful customer service and shouldn’t be working in a hospitality job or any job that includes interacting with other people.

This place doesn't get any better. Ordered a bacon roll this morning, which took 25 mins to arrive, by which time I had drunk my coffee. Customer service is still not top of the list here either. Customers are just an inconvenience, and the staff more interested in talking to each other than serving customers who at the end of the day pay their wages. In view of the mainly negative reviews on here, it is surprising, and disappointing, that Marks and Spencer have done nothing about it.

Hi we visited here as normally it is great. Unfortunately I can now only have gluten free items and the cafe could not cater for this. They did have oat milk instead of normal milk so that was a blessing so at least I could get a drink

Ordered chicken, bacon, cheese and mayo panini expecting them to have a piece of chicken, rasher of bacon and cheese. Service was slow and we were very disappointed when the food finally arrived. It was a soggy bottomed panini filled with mayo, chicken and ham slop which smelled and tasted processed. I couldn't eat the soggy bottom and complained before we paid the bill. I showed the Supervisor/cook the floppy Panini and her response was 'Oh sorry about that' but we were still charged £19. At no point did any of the staff ask was all okay with the food. Several tables needed clearing whilst staff were stood around looking bored and we saw a group of three sit down at a dirty table but get up and leave. We have eaten there before but won't be returning.

Lovely pub. Polite staff. But if you’ve travelled from Scotland like we did, make sure you have only English pound notes as the don’t accept Scottish
