Brilliant vibe on match days, really friendly place with great staff, food and beer. Loads of football memorabilia and only a 5 minute walk to Anfield stadium.

Great local pub with a lovely view of the canal to the rear. Lady behind the bar is always welcoming. Good value Amstel and a great pool room upstairs. Warm pork scratchings were a bonus

I bought three "Baps," unfortunately, the final product was truly disgraceful. I ordered them with pork, and it really seemed like they didn't want to put any meat in them. I was so disappointed. The price for what I received was very high (£6.50). That's why I took a photo of each one with proof of purchase, because I think it's disrespectful to sell something like that. They should have established standards, and employees should adhere to them.

Arriba, fuera y alrededor en una hermosa pero amargamente fría mañana de febrero, mi hermano gemelo y yo decidimos saltar el tren de Kirkby al centro de Liverpool para visitar algunos de los grandes pubs que nuestra ciudad es justificadamente famosa, uno que visitamos en ese día fue el Excelsior Pub, he estado aquí antes en muchas ocasiones, siempre lo pasamos bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita a aquí. Un pub de gran aspecto , el interior es magnífico, un bar de servicio de estilo isla domina la sala principal, decoración y mobiliario pubby, pantallas grandes para disfrutar del deporte y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub, es solo un pub realmente bueno para relajarse en . Fuimos recibidos con una sonrisa por un miembro muy agradable del equipo del bar, tuvimos un estudio de su verdadera cerveza que debo decir que me impresionó, al final los dos optamos por tener Kirkstall Brewery "banda negra portero" y estos fueron servidos en excelentes condiciones, nos relajamos y empapamos de la gran vibra en este pub ocupado y popular mientras bebíamos nuestros porteadores. El Excelsior Pub es fácil de ubicar a lo largo de Dale Street. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a domingo, abierto desde mediodía. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona.

Many times this has happened but 30 mins after ordering, which was accepted, they then cancel the order and close 2 hours early. Cannot contact them via phone as they don't pick up. Food can be great when you actually get what you've ordered

We spent our first night in the UK here, and it was great. Our room was tiny, but quaint and comfortable. Local beer is what we wanted and that's what we got. Dinner was a steak pie for me and a sausage dish for my husband. Both were delicious. Breakfast the next morning was a full English, and we didn't need to eat again until dinner time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
