Just another Costa Coffee. food&drink were OK; service was OK, but smell was really bad!

I've visited Costa Coffee on Brownlow Hill many times. At first sight, it looks quite small but normally you can at least find a table somewhere, especially if you're on your own. The staff are generally nice and friendly and service is quick and efficient. I don't remember waiting an unreasonably long time in the queue here, despite this place being right by the University of Liverpool campus, meaning it gets a lot of passing trade! This particular Costa is usually nice and clean and tidy, with tables free from litter. The food itself is your standard Costa, so nothing really to say there. One thing I would say though is on one occasion, I ordered a pot of tea and when I inspected the little jug of milk, the milk had little floaters in it, ie. 'bits' of something or other! When I returned it to the counter, the manager must have thought I was stupid in asking for another milk upon the tone of voice she adopted, which was a little unfriendly. Having said that, this was a one off because usually when I've dealt with the staff (including the manager), they've been friendly. The other thing I'd note is that the outside seating area is located at the back of the coffee shop, and isn't exactly enticing, particularly when it's wintery. This place also shuts up shop quite early too, so you may want to bear this in mind when deciding when to visit. I walked past it last Friday at half 5 and it was closed! Overall though, it's not a bad place for a tea, coffee or snack. Would recommend!

I like coming here when the holidays are on and all the students have gone home. It's quiet and peaceful and I like to bring my laptop and pretend I am working on something important. But really I'm just watching YouTube videos. I did see this really hot girl working there once, and she was super nice to me. I really thought me had a connection. But unfortunately my card decline and I got really embarrassed. I had to use cash, but that was meant to be my bus money.

Así que tenemos una rutina estándar para el festival de whisky de Liverpool. Come bien de antemano. Subir desde la estación de la calle Lime. Café previo a marzo en costa. Un ambiente de bienvenida y una cerveza encantadora. Realmente lo disfruté. Tranquilo para 1130 que nos vino bien.

During my time in Costa I was shocked by how rude, ignorant and immature the staff were. Not only were they rude towards me but also rude to other customers. The girl with brown hair in a pony tale made me feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable that I left as quick as I could feeling upset about what she said to me and how she acted. So instead I just went next door to Tesco to purchase a drink. Never did I think that I would be treated so horribly by a member of staff in a company which is supossedly meant to be a calm and relaxing place. This staff member needs to rethink her actions and be more polite in future. She should be fired.

A nice Costa with very friendly and efficient staff

Good place to chill on weekends as it's quite quiet and you can sometimes get near expiry sandwiches for half price. Coffee no worse than other Costa branches. Free Wi-Fi was fast. Worth checking if library is too packed.

Nice coffee shop, staff are always lovely. Food and cold drinks are a bit pricey but same as any other coffee shop.

I have a regular appointment here and it is always interestingly busy, but not heaving. Service is good and the location, although in the heart of the university, seems accessible to locals.

Ordered americano. Was very weak, tasted diluted, threw it away, will not come back to this branch again. I normally love Costa's coffees and prefer over others.

Very friendly staff who make you feel very welcome. Would of been 5 stars but the coffee was slightly bitter, even after they changed my drink. Would come back for the service 😀

Un restaurante más de la cadena Costa y, como en todos ellos, muy buenos dulces y un café y un chocolate calientes deliciosos. Fuimos el domingo muy temprano y era de lo poco que estaba abierto por la zona (los domingos abren ya a las 7 am). La atención del personal fue excelente y los baños estaban muy limpios.

Friendly and efficient service, free Wi-Fi provided via The Cloud. Some outside seating at the back.

Great to go to before morning lectures, the staff offer a very speedy service! There is very limited seating though, especially during busy times.

Nice coffee, but generally a bit messy and sometimes dirty. There are better independent alterantives nearby.

Love Costa! Everyday breakfast with a mid cup of latte and a croissant surely wake me up and wake my whole new day!
