I've only been here before on sunny days and sat outside on the balcony with a pint. It's a nice place to spend an afternoon with a nice view of the Albert Dock. It does get busy though when the weather's good so you need to get there early if you want a table. Today it was cold so I sat inside for the first time. It's huge inside with two floors and plenty of benches. Service was quick and efficient and a good selection of beers. I must come back one day and try out the German food.

Good pizza, fast and dynamic service

Not enough staff on the bars for events so queues are horrendous. Food is pricey for what it is, but it's enjoyable. Big screens and good selection of drinks.

A large group of us visiting for a stag had a good night here. There was a show on and the first guy dressed in a German costume on stage really got the crowd going for the night. He got the stags up on stage doing daft stuff then finished with a massive Conga dance led by the stags round the floor. The band came on after too playing a lot of lively well known hits incl Beatle's which kept the dancing going. The food served was just ok. Would have been better to eat before show started as food got cold with all the goings on...

It’s was just amazing. Went in to watch Super Bowl. Was full house with really good atmosphere. Beers are expensive but all the waiter girls was so nice with a big smile on they face us. Honestly they did a really good impression as waiters usually nice everywhere but a felt a bit extra from them.Food was basic but ok.

Syten's prices are a bit high since we last visited

Poor beer choice, half the stuff they did sell was out of stock. Barmaid looked bored and was unpleasant to interact with.

Bierkeller in Liverpool: A Mixed Bag** Visiting the Bierkeller in Liverpool was a bit of a rollercoaster. The ambiance and decor are inviting, capturing the essence of a traditional German beer hall. The bratwurst, priced at £12.50, was quite expensive for what it was. For a place that prides itself on authentic German cuisine, this was a letdown. Moreover, there were only two other customers there during my visit, which made the place feel a bit deserted. It lacked the vibrant energy you’d expect from such a venue, especially during peak hours. On the bright side, the beer selection was impressive, featuring a variety of German brews that were both delicious and refreshing. The staff were friendly and attentive, which added a positive touch to the otherwise mixed experience. In summary, while Bierkeller in Liverpool has potential, especially with its great beer selection and friendly staff, the quality of the food and the high prices left much to be desired. It might be worth a visit for the drinks, but don’t set your expectations too high for the food.

£7.40 for an erdinger…. The pub itself has a great atmosphere and good for the football but the prices are outrageous. I really poor hotdog with a stale bun set me back £14. When a Carling costs more than a fiver it’s just a waste of money for anyone that’s not working full time on at least 30k. The atmosphere is great but absolutely ruined by the prices which are criminal

Visited here a couple of times staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great! They do serve food but I have never eaten here though I'm sure it's great as I have eaten at other bierkeller venues in the past too

We only served one beer, a very cool place to watch TV, Liverpool was playing, very cool atmosphere, a place where children can play, very nice.

Wasn't what I was expecting at all. Not sure what this place is meant to be. A doggy bar downstairs and a sports bar upstairs. Nowhere to sit, even though it wasn't that busy. Waited to get served at the bar but gave up before anyone could be arsed to acknowledge us. What a weird place.

Being new to this place we really felt welcomed over here, Henry was really cheerful. Had a great time here

Went in here to Shooters to watch the Everton game. Managed to grab a table by the big screen and was able to order drinks and food to the table via an app. Went with family, wife and a 7 yr old. The fact UFC was on the TV's with blood sproiled men beating each other to a pulp maybe not ideal for a family setting but not knowing this before hand, this was on us. I had no issue with it, my 7 year old however was somewhat disturbed but also intrigued. Food was reasonably priced and relatively quick to arrive. The quality though of what we ordered, a sharing platter, was well shall we say..... questionable.... it was all reheat stuff, underheated chicken fillets, cold on arrival fries etc. Price wise it was also expensive. Drinks and food were far above the price for the quality and service. All that said we went in for the football game and we got the average sports bar quality you would expect. Staff were friendly and really good. You go to a sports bar you get what a sports bar is. Over priced average servings with the benefit of being able to watch the sport you crave to watch.

We came to watch the Liverpool match... but they didn't play the match. The girl told us that there is a law that prohibits showing the team's matches at 3pm, but as soon as we left we found a pub that showed it. Beers: bad bad.

Typical UK sports bar trying to get close to a Bavarian beer bar. Nice idea to place the orders directly online at the table using a barcode, enter the table number and pay directly and after a short time what you ordered will be brought to the table. Food was okay, but there was no cutlery or a hint of where to get some. The food plate was marked for 2-4 people but the portion was just enough for 2 people. There are screens everywhere in the restaurant with live sports broadcasts, and when we were there there was even the top game in the Bundesliga on the smaller screens. Noise level rather high.

It was a good night but went for the beer festival and it was ment to be free drinks for 1 hour but finsh my drink only for staff to say they can't serve us as their was tomany drinks on the table and can't serve you it was ok to serve us when the hour was up and we where paying for them

Booked Oktoberfest (£20 per ticket) expecting it to be an Oompah band/accordions. The first bit was good (with the host) but then a live band came on with just drums/guitars. Could’ve been anywhere in Liverpool watching that band. Didn’t feel very ‘wunderbar’

05/10/24: Came here to watch the LFC futie+for some grub. Never again,my food was vile. Had Currywurst with some unidentifable fried up roundish thingies I've never seen in my life. MY opposite had the normal Bratwurst with chips which did look edible. Mine was horrible -wouldn't feed it to animals,yuk!I did tell the waitress tho'.Nevermind,I know now+stick to drinks only.Sure,they cannot get that wrong,can they?

A party from Belfast attended Bierkeller in August 2024 for a Stag Party. From the word go the booking process was simple and easy. After 30/40 minutes a young lady called Sarah looked after us, she even went and got me (the stag) a german lederhosen hat from downstairs. Her attention to the party was unrivalled. She is a credit to the company/venue. Entertainment was a tad corny and a little butlins-like but it didn't stop the stag party from having a good time. Fantastic venue, food is good but the craic even better! Sarah deserves a promotion!!

Excellent authentic German food (bratwursts and even currywursts available) and good selection of reasonably priced beers. Daytime best to visit rather than evenings given the crowd it may attract.

We sat outside on the terrace as it was a beautiful sunny day. The food was very nice and reasonably priced.

Lucky to find this place upstairs but glad we did. Stayed for some great food, and plenty of drinks. Originally went in for a quick drink and to rest our feet and stayed for a few hours. Could have stayed all night.

We called here on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon . With an amazing outdoor terrace, to watch the world go by. Very busy both inside and out. Fantastic atmosphere. Excellent choice of drinks and cocktails. A short walk from Albert docks and the City centre.

Called in for a quick drink on a hot day, other than the name, nothing very German about it. The bar looked to me like any other English bar. I managed to spot a ' Bierkeller Hausbrau' amongst the usual selection of continental beers (mostly brewed in this country). (they also had Erdinger which appeared to be having problems with over frothing) The Hausbrau' was £5.80 for a very ordinary 4% lager. Didn't look very appetising and had a poor taste to match. No friendly greeting from the barman, also I had to ask how much he was charging me as he just thrust the card machine in my direction as he looked elsewhere. It's a shame as it could be far better.

Watched the euro quarter final, the place Is huge, atmosphere was great but nowhere near enough bar staff for a night like that and prices are eye watering too.

Great place in the heart of the city centre. However, drinks were very, very expensive compared to other city centre bars.

Came for food had to wait 45 minutes after being told it will ready in 5 mins only to find out they still serve breakfast till 2pm if we new that we would have gone else where

They are very rude and disrespectful. I strongly recommend you not to go this sport bar. I put the Wine (with its basket of ice) on the floor, because there is not enough space on the table. Security came and asked me if this wine was brought from outside. He can look at the basket, and could easily understand that I could not bring a basket of ice from outside. Additionally, he could also ask from their waitress, if I ordered a wine or not. Despite these reasons, I kindly said no, and he insisted if I am sure or not. He disturbed me and my family while we are watching the football game. This is not an end. The funniest part is that, such a responsible securities do not have any information about what is going on in their toilets. There were strange people who were selling perfumes in the toilet. I think, the main duty of securities is preventing the pub from strangers, not disturbing its guests.

Good terrace, good beer, great place. The only thing is that the staff must know what they are selling. My husband went to order a Schneider tap 1. Staff behind the bar didn't know what my husband was talking about, said they didn't sell it while it was just in the beer fridge, well!

First time in Bierkeller, but it won't be the last. Great bar with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The sun was shining, and we were able to sit outside.

I liked the atmosphere here,as it reminded me of my time in Germany. Also my grandson works here. The beer was excellent, with plenty of choices. We did not eat here.

There were very few customers but yet they disabled the food ordering in the online app.Tjeu didn't seem to care that much about the customers so we lleft after a while.
