Tesco Cafe in Trafford

Ordered overpriced ham and cheese toastie...absolutely terrible! One slice of old looking ham and something resembling cheese smeared on old bread - couldn't believe they actually thought it was okay to serve this to a customer 👎

Payed £7.50 for the sandwich in the picture £1.25 for 1 sausage and £1.25 for 1 mushroom Can get cheaper and much better food from a local independent shop. Also the drinks are more expensive than the fridge in store (about 10 metres away) Will be supporting somewhere local next time

Susan was very rude tried kicking me out while I was waiting for me food discriminating me with my age the sausage, egg and bacon was servilely undercooked the beans rock solid they had no intention of making me feel welcome at the till was waiting for 10 minutes while they talked with each other there was a long dark hair on my toast aswell DO NOT EAT HERE

Dirty tables everywhere. Couldn’t find a clean table and had to sit at a dirty table. Plates and dishes left on tables. Food took longer than I would have liked to arrive. Price ok and tasted ok but portion size small.

I only tried take-out so can't say how dining-in is like. Food's always good though it'd be priceier if you ordered it on apps. Not bad overall.

I've given this two stars, but it depends when you go. At my usual Tesco cafe the serving staff take dirty dishes with them as they return, but that never happens here. Not so bad when it's quiet, but hopeless at a weekend and hopeless any time there is football or cricket nearby. This morning, for example, every table had dirty dishes on which customers had to move before being able to sit down. On my table, I had to both move lots of dirty dishes and clean the table, and wipe the chairs, before I could sit down. A nearby table was already also piled up with dishes when I arrived, and was still piled up with dishes when I left, and that was despite a server passing the table quite a few times in between. The service was literally hopeless. Insufficient staff to clear the tables.

The meal was well-cooked and quite quickly-served with a friendly smile.

Alright I'm writing this review for those who love bacon, GET THE LOADED BACON WAFFLES AND SYRUP. It's the BEST item on menu and tastes BETTER than any iteration I seen from Archie's or anywhere else. It's really UNASSUMING TOO. Just cos it's a "cafeteria" doesn't mean the food is bad. Nope not for this item. £5.50. cheap lunch. Just do it and thank me later. Do it

Tables are never cleaned. Always full of trays and dirty dishes. Only ever one member of staff serving. Food served is poor and the cheapest possible ingredients. Too expensive for the cheap fare. Cannot think of one plus to give it. Avoid it if you can

Understaffed or gabbing away in the back (3 Women) Long waits. Then brought a cold coffee by the same woman who made it. How that's possible (clearly not paying attention. £5 Breakfast not bad.

Ordered smashed avocado with egg and mushroom today to take out very Dissatisfied as the toast was totally burnt!!! With the avocado covering it. I’m not one to complain but I really think this is as appalling to serve the toast burnt I don’t think they would of served me this if I was eating in as I would of sent it star it back.

Pleasant food, staff work hard, very pleasant, good menu for a super market cafe

We had a breakfast here, and we ordered 3 different breakfast - Chorizo & eggs, the breakfast and the brunch. If you are in a rush, we wouldn't recommend this cafe as it takes some time until you have your foods served. Most of the tables didn't get cleaned, and we need to move the dirty tray to another table for getting the seat. Overall the flavor was pretty basic and simple, not bad but it's the kind of place you will only visit once. The staff were very friendly, polite and nice tho! 👍

Went for a brew in Tesco's cafe on Chester rd, Stretford, Saturday afternoon, 3.30pm. Well what can I say. The place was filthy, dirty tables everywhere, queues at the counter were taking forever, very inexperienced, young staff serving who don't listen to what you say, so order has to be repeated more than once. Brews were Luke warm at best. Most of the food on the menu unavailable Tables eventually got cleared but not cleaned, which is totally unacceptable with Covid being as it is. I have been using this cafe for years, there seems to be a rapid decline in the standards in Tesco cafes. I definitely would not recommend.

Reopened recently. A little slow as only one person serving. Food delivered to table so actually freshly cooked and hotter than I have experienced previously. Good to have it opened again!

First visit since before lockdown. Excellent customer service reasonable prices. Well organised. Not hesitation in recommending. Also easy to access free WiFi and some seats even have power socket to plug in your laptop or charger.

Ideal spot for getting a bite to eat before the match ( Manchester United v Newcastle ). They were geared up for football and have a match day menu. Pies, fish and chips etc. Plenty of staff and reasonable prices. Very busy which is a good sign and friendly staff and efficient service. Will definitely use again next time I go to a match.

My kids love food and Tesco cafe do a great vegetable lasagna..also has a station for babies where you get free wipes and a microwave to warm babies bottles..comes with high chairs for infants and toddlers. Great service while you wait and everything is freshly made

the cafe is always kept clean and tidy and the food is nice. I've had a breakfast in here a few times and it's hearty.

One of the finest coffee shop in the city. The staff is definitely helpful . It can be a sweet place at which you can meet together with friends.

A shambles. Most tables not cleared. Half the menu unavailable. The staff appear to have been lobotomised. The bleakest kids sandwiches I've ever seen.

Refused to make up a BBQ chicken panini - not because they had none but because they only sell pre-made panini'. Not great.

Could be so much better. Disorganised, cold food, long wait, food on menu not available. Needs a good manager and a re-think.

Only paper cups in the cafe maybe the dishwasher was on strike

At breakfast you get your food whilst waiting in the queue, then have to wait for them to serve the people ahead of you with coffees. By the time you sit down your food's luke warm if lucky.

Quorn Sausages, freshly cooked fried eggs, hash brown, fried bread, mushrooms, beans, plum tomatoes for same price as coffee and pastry at a coffee shop... winner! Simple, comfortable, clean cafe with excellent staff what’s not to like!

Not bad for a quick bite to eat or just tea or coffee

Oh dear, oh dear. This cafe used to be a reasonable spot for a quick bite. Now there's a general air of disorganisation about the place. Signage does not indicate that certain things are only available at certain times or are subject to availability. Staff seemed very disorganised.

Food always tastes nice and fresh and ready quick which is great as we enjoying going during our lunch hour at work. The staff always go above and beyond to make sure we enjoy everything.

Friendly efficient prompt customer service and delicious food at a reasonable price, I highly recommend the lasagne

Very good customer service. Made us feel welcome on our first visit to Manchester after a stressful drive.

First visit and will definitely return. Lovely cappucino, had a very tasty toasted tuna melt. Various seating areas with some comfy chairs so great to meet friends or just relax on one's own in a good inviting atmosphere. Staff are lovely. Highly recommended. Lots of free parking.
