As many of these reviews note, the building is dated and could do with an update, but other than I had a good experience. Room was clean, tidy and everything was were u would expect It to be. Staff were pleasant and helpful and food was of reasonable quality. Would certainly stage again if needed a place to lay my head for the night

The rooms are very tired and hot, no air conditioning. The staff were lovely, helpful and informative. Excellent location, particularly if visiting Old Trafford by tram. Altringham is lovely, nice shops and restaurants.

Good car parking, lovely friendly reception staff who were very helpful and professional. Rooms were as usual good and comfy. There is no air conditioning but a quiet upright fan is provided if needed. Wifi coverage is very spotty but the data signal (4G) is fair for most purposes. The attached hotel/bar provided food of good quality for dinner and my wine was very acceptable. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was served quickly. The staff were professional friendly and efficient.

The food is not good and the service is bad. The fish was tasteless and the chips under cooked. Expensive. Bad beer.

Incredibly friendly and helpful. They were responsive to all requests. Thanks so much. Great bed! We slept so well and enjoyed breakfast. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

As usual with premier inn's the standard is good and you know what you are getting, for the money you pay. I had a 2 night stay at this hotel and I would stay on the whole it was OK. It was let down a little, by the heat in the rooms, a large fan had been supplied and we had brought our own but he heat was almost unbearable, and in consequence I didn't sleep as well as I normally do. The staff were great and the service fantastic so I would use the hotel again.

Stayed here before a flight out of Manchester airport. The hotel is set on a junction corner so we missed it first time! Standard PI setup with reception and bar/restaurant attached. Room was standard but we were on fourth floor which weirdly meant coming out of lift and then climbing small set of steps and then descending them! With 3 large suitcases this was a minor hassle. Restaurant offered good selection of meals - standard PI menu. Service was quick and friendly. We got good nights sleep before 10hr flight so all good.

We have stayed at this Premier Inn before but were advised the day before our arrival that the restaurant would be closed due to unforseen circumstances. We were hoping the bar and Sports TV would be available but this was not the case. Hence we had to find alternative arrangements for watching football, having a drink and eating out.

Stayed overnight at this hotel as an early flight from Manchester Airport next morning. The hotel was very conveniently situated within about 15 minutes drive from the airport. The food in the restaurant was a typical Premier Inn quality as were the fantastic Hynos beds giving a great nights sleep. Typical Premier Inn quality all round and would use this hotel again I booked about two weeks in advance and rooms were only £42 per night so great value do close to Airport

Stayed here when we were going to a party at The Pelican about a mile away. It's a decent walk, but we did it both ways and enjoyed it.You need a voucher for the car park, but it's free, a MUST. The car park has CCTV and felt 'safe'.The staff were all friendly, we had room 112, lovely big room and all you would want from a Premier Inn.

I booked here because I nearly always stay in a Premier Inn given the choice. However, I must say that it was looking a little tired inside especially the carpets. The people inside were very nice and offered a good service. Bizzarely, with regard to the associated bar which formed part of the hotel it was the opposite way around. The outside of the Inn looked exceedingly tatty and unwelcoming which was in complete contrast to the indside which was clean and new(ish).

Usual good standard of premier inn. Room very clean and comfy. Plenty of space and an enormous bed. I really do think the chain is one of the better ones. The hotels are reliably clean and they offer a good breakfast at a reasonable price

The hotel is in need of a refurb, my room was small compared to other premier inn I have stayed in. Room 119 was next to the corridor door which was banging all night. You can clearly hear people talking in their rooms. Overall not a great experience and I will not book this hotel again

This is an older Premier Inn in the George and Dragon pub and looks a little bit tired and the arrangement of the rooms is rather confusing. However, the reception staff were helpful and the bedroom and bathroom were clean although there was a very strange musty/damp smell in the rooms and in the corridor outside. The window only opened a small distance and there is secondary double glazing (essential as this hotel is on a busy and noisy main road), but even with the double glazing slid back it was not possible to get a flow of air through the room to freshen it or to cool it. There was a small fan on the shelf under the television and the option of using a sheet instead of a duvet, but we still found it uncomfortably hot in the room overnight. The bathroom also had an extremely noisy extractor fan which also seemed to have a fault in the timer as it kept running for more than an hour after the bathroom light was switched off. It made a pleasant change to have a restaurant (Table, Table) actually inside the hotel and not at the end of a carpark.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend break to Manchester to go on the coronation Street tour and visit the ethiad to see the Swans. The hotel is very comfortable and clean with all staff very helpful especially Tanya. The restaurant attached provides an excellent menu with very good service. The hotel is only a 10 min walk from navigation road metro station. We would have no hesitation staying there again or recommending this hotel to anyone.

You always dread it as a business traveller and all the business hotels are full and your only option is a Premier Inn for the week...And yet, I must admit that every time I am pleasantly surprised. No, the rooms aren't going to be classy, and yes, the restaurant will essentially be a cheap pub, "child-friendly" to put it politely (but you solve that by not eating there). But, it's central, half the price of most business hotels, almost always available and they have something many business hotels a lot more expensive could learn from. It is so, so easy. I look on their app, I book on their app (where my card details are saved); when I get to the hotel, I enter my surname into a machine (of which there are normally a few - never a queue), my key card is spat out with a receipt and an electronic copy is automatically emailed to me for my expenses. Quick. Easy. My biggest criticism is that the wifi is not automatically included - it should be.

The bathroom is nice. The bed is very comfy which enabled me to have a good nights sleep. The room is very spacious. The TV was located in a good place. The bed was very big also. I would definitely stay here. The breakfast was disgusting though. Could not eat it. Very poor quality. It was a buffet which very cheap bacon, beans, sausages and eggs and the orange juice was basically cordial.

We were given a very warm welcome on arrival. The room was excellent, very clean, comfortable and had everything we required. It was our first stay in a Premier Inn and it exceeded our expectations. We will certainly be staying at Premier Inns in future

We popped in on spec for lunch. First problem was parking. Beware of a paid car park where you cannot locate the ticket machine. We ended up parking on the street and walking in the rain. Arrived in the bar area wet and bedraggled. Not a great start. Partner ordered fish and chips from the lunch menu, mine was a chicken club sandwich with a bowl of chips. Decided to have a pudding as a treat. We sat and had a drink and joked about the length of time... catch the chicken etc as it took so long. Food finally arrived. Fish and chips were gorgeous. The sandwich prompted another look at the menu as it was not as described. No lettuce or mayo and stringy bit of bacon. Side salad was brown at the edges an obviously from a bag. Sent it back and waited while partner tucked in. He had finished by the time it was brought back. Very little improvement. Tasteless tomato added an still no mayo.. bread was hard and crumbly and was in no way a "club". No layers of gorgeousness at all. Ate half and gave up. Then waited 20 minutes while staff repeatedly walked past . In the end gave up and walked out without pud vowing never to give this place another penny

Went to celebrate my sons birthday, booked a table for 8 and all ordered starters and mains, food was just warm and tasteless, my husband ordered sausage and mash it was presented in a very poor way, he sent it back and asked for it to be represented, the waitress appeared shocked that we had complained, all in all a thoroughly bad experience and a spoilt birthday celebration needless to say will not be returning
