Costa Coffee Drive Through in Trafford

A nice Costa Coffee location. Located in White City in Manchester. It makes a pleasant place to visit amongst all the furniture retailers and the discount stores and supermarket outlets. Nice place to take a few minutes out Grab a drink and take a break.

Lovely little place with the standard Costa decorations. Fast service and helpful staff.

You must adhere to the working hours you have stated.You should not show your closing time as 10 o'clock and say we closed at 9 o'clock.

The staff are very pleasant, it was chaos inside, the football match had just finished, the staff got everyone served very quickly and efficiently.

I don’t know the name of the server I need to complain about as she is not wearing a name badge. This fits her "I am better than you" personality. She's rude, loud and has her very long hair dangling all over the coffee machine. I've seen her wipe her nose with her hand and then continue to work on someone's coffee. She talks to her colleagues like they are children and doesn't respect them in front of customers. She's always on her phone whilst at front of house and actually took a selfie? Did she come here to work or to mess about? Grow up.

Drove thru for a flat white, preparing to pay by card over the window with the card machine on stick as usual. I was asked to drive another circle back in the queue to the contactless/intercom booth to make the payment, which I did. Then, just before my turn, saw the car in front of me pay over the window on the card machine! On top of that, I got a cup of plain milk, no microfoam at all, which is the very essence of the flat white.

Ordered a hazelnut latte, got a mocha. It was nice but not what I ordered 🤷‍♂️

Delicious hot chicken & bacon with cheese sandwich. And Delicious coffee as always at Costa. Reasonable prices, quick service, good facilities and very clean.

Bit grubby. Expect more from Costa. Tables needed cleaning.

I have been served by Rob, the most horrible service I have ever experienced, the man serve your coffee in a dirty cup and gets upset and answer by “it’s just coffee, we reuse the cups” when you tell him to give you a clean cup I saw that many other customers had a similaire experience, what is Costa Coffee waiting to get rid of him ?

Arrived at 620 and was closed. Stated on website 8pm close.

For £8:80 for 2 drinks the toilets should be clean!

Here I tried the COFFE soda. How delicious!!! Costa never disappoints…

Worst Costa in the UK ever!!! Never stick to their closing times always closes early and they Keep blaming being short staffed. Costas standards are going low.....

Yesterday, we visited the Costa in the White City Retail Park and experienced appalling customer service from one staff member in particular. Her name was Sirinda, and I think she was Indian or South Asian, incase she told me the wrong name so you can identify her. I suggest management listen to what has happened to us and take action. We ordered our drinks via the drive thru. The man on the speaker was struggling to understand what we were saying, despite us being clear. We clearly said we wanted a mango berry bubble tea. We also said we wanted a pupaccino, and he said "Okay I added another cappuccino". Overall, stressful experience. Anyway, mistakes do happen and we don't blame him because sometimes after a long day of work everyone becomes forgetful now and again, but it's just what happened after that was unacceptable. Then, I randomly heard him change it himself to something that had passionfruit over the speaker. Due to it getting more and more confusing, I drove up to the next window to collect my drink, certain that they had made the wrong one and that there had been a misunderstanding. This is not to do with the man who took this order, but the woman who was handing our drinks over at the last window. Immediately, we let her know that we did not order the Mango and Passionfruit Smoothie, and we did this in a calm and polite manner (not like some other customers who get angry and rude). Instead of her saying that there must have been a misinterpretation over the speaker and apologizing, she told us that we HAVE to take the drink because it is what we ordered, and that she can't do ANYTHING about it. Then, she repeatedly and forcefully kept telling us that "You ordered this, not mango bubble tea and so you have to take it with you". We kept explaining that we didn't, but she kept denying it, rolling her eyes, didn't say sorry, kept giving us the drink, and altogether the tone was appalling. She then asked the man, and he said that we said passionfruit as well. Anyway, after that, we politely asked Sirinda if she could make us the Mango Berry Bubble Tea instead. There was no argument from our side, but she was becoming all rude and defensive. Then she said to us aggressively that "Well, ya need to come inside instead to get ya drink, because there's a huge queue and we can't remake it for ya here in the drive thru". I know if I was working in Costa, dealing with customers, I would make them the drink on the spot regardless of the queue, because I have made the mistake of mishearing and then denying it as well. The way she said it was shocking, no pleases, no sorry's, nothing! So, a simple drive thru order turns into me going into the store again and becomes a 40 minute process to get the drink we wanted from the start. They had not made the drink even yet when I went inside the shop. So, Sarinda took my order in the shop, all while looking like she wanted to attack me, and when I said I want the Mango Berry Bubble Tea as she asked again, she said "Oh, so ya changed your drink choice AGAIN huh". When we never changed it to begin with, but I think she was doing it all on purpose at this point. May I also mention, that there was barely a queue AT ALL, and there was around 2 people. Then I asked for her name, so I could write a review for other customers to be aware of Sarinda's behaviour. I have never witnessed behaviour like this from a barista before in a Costa drive thru. Might I also mention that I saw her give away the Mango and Passionfruit smoothie that she had mistakenly made for us to another customer whilst I was in the shop (when it had been made around 15 minutes ago for us). Overall, what could have easily been solved turned into something unnecessary and drama. I strongly advice the Costa branch in the White City Retail Park to be aware of Sirinda's behaviour, and to do something about it as we will not be returning here for a while.

We were having coffee and some smoothies. The atmosphere was great because we were looking for a quiet place to be able to charge our phones and there on each table you have a plug with 2 USB sockets for it. As for drinks, expensive, like everything in general in the United Kingdom. The chocolates are very liquid and the flavor is not natural at all. The coffee is something to think about, but in general the coffees in the United Kingdom are not good. The service is very dry, they are doing their thing.

Favourite place with the drive through option definitely recommend to drive through lovers.

It was really busy as it was Saturday and some team were playing football across the road. Despite this the service was quick, the shop was clean and tidy, staff were excellent and the coffee was good.

The man making the coffee was rude and thought he was above himself. Young girl served me warm bread & when I took it back and asked for toast (politely), he just stared at me, didn't do anything as it obvious he only made coffee So I waited for the young girl, and she gladly helped me (BUT he was rude)

I don’t know how this Costa has 4 stars. The service is terrible and staff are so rude. For the past year they have been making up their own closing times. When told they are shut they apparently still do drive thru orders. At least update it online so we know. And now since it’s half term they have reduced there puts more they don’t even stick to the times they made up and stuck on the door. Awful place.

Terrible, delivery driver is waiting for time because it was close and the asian guy who work there and saw the delivery driver and did nothing no communication at all and the delivery driver was waiting about 30 mins stood outside and it was very poor communication with the asian guy hope he get fired soon.

Disgusting place ran by aidan the sloth from ice age. Fix up your behaviour or you will be in trouble.

Used the toilets here, they're a little better than the coffee in this place.

I only called in because I needed the toilet but noticed how popular it seemed to be. It looked like a really good atmosphere and pretty laid back. I'd definitely go for a tea/coffee here, if I was doing something in the area.

I lost my diamond necklace at costa, visited the next day and asked is anyone found a necklace wasn’t expecting anything though, however the gentleman at the till went back for a second and came back with my necklace, couldn’t be happier . Overall the service is great and the tram is friendly and professional.

I visited Costa shop and was disappointed with the hygiene standards. The coffee machines were not wiped with decent wipes and the staff were not talking at all. They were just muted and didn’t even bother greeting anyone. Additionally, the shop was poorly maintained.

Everything was up to normal Costa Quality. The staff were polite and apologised to every customer for the closure of the toilet at the time and the short wait for drinks. However, it's unprofessional and disgusting when you can hear and see two Costa employees, as they make your drinks, bad-mouthing their colleague whilst they were taking drive-through orders. The individual was standing at the till going through the drinks and pricing for a customer on the drive-through, explaining the difference in price between a small and a medium, and the colleague stated "Why is he going through price...how much time is he losing by doing that"...he's helping a customer and giving them full customer service with their order. It was 6.30 pm with nobody in the queue in the Costa itself. It was disappointing to see this behaviour after such a lovely conversation with the colleague beforehand. I understand you are stressed and it was close to the end of the day but that is no reason to treat a colleague the way you did. This wasn't the only negative behaviour I saw aimed towards this individual whilst I was awaiting my drinks and I hope this individual sees sense and moves to a different location where their hard work is actually valued. This is not the behaviour that you expect from Costa Staff and this behaviour isn't good enough in public.

Decent coffee, food and service at a decent price

Pricey. Service wasn't quick and there was some unpleasant verbal bullying of a member of staff.

Average in one word The girl on the till didn't know details around what offers were on. The guys making the coffee i.e. the batista was keen on home time, which I understand given every one wants to go home but not when customers are around.

Visited Old Trafford with my girlfriend from Holland and decided to get some food at Costa. When we paid the employee said our card declined, which wasn’t the case since my girlfriend checked and our money was transfered out. They told us it would be send back but this never happened.

since I gave a bad review for a luke warm coffee at maidstone services I guess it's appropriate to mention we visited this drive thru almost daily during our stay and it's been good up to great each time. the one time it took a bit longer we got some extra flakes for our kid - happy days!

I come every morning with my colleague. This morning I saw 2 customers walk out as it was taking too long to be served. Luke needs taking off the till as he takes too long, he doesn’t confirm orders to the girls making the coffee so they have no clue what to make. He forgets peoples food which makes it go cold and he also mixes vegan food tongues with regular. If this service continues I may have to find another costa

If you ever want to be spoken down to or be on the receiving end of an attitude problem. Definitely go through the drive thru here. Whoever did the drive thru on Thursday 18th June at approx 630ish needs to be trained again. Asked for a Belgium cooler with cream, got told it was a frostino, I questioned it as we've ordered these before, Miss Attitude bluntly replied "it's a frostino", decided not to get that option, asked for something else, was told they've ran out, asked for a peach iced tea and was asked what size, I mistakenly asked for regular not remembering they only do 2 sizes but excuse me for not knowing, Miss attitude just kept repeating the 2 specific sizes they do with the sh1ttest attitude I've ever heard. No explanation or advising me they only do specific sizes. At this point I asked her what her attitude was all about and she just kept talking over me saying "yeah yeah is there anything else" or something to that effect. I asked for a coffee frostino with an extra shot and made the grave error of asking for regular again so back came the sh1tty response giving only 2 sizes. Already decided at this point I'd rather sh1t in a field than be spoken to that way, arrived at the window, shocked the poor guy with a triage of incoherent rambling about how vile her attitude was and cancelled the order. He was great, apologised and offered to get the drinks but couldn't be bothered at this point. I beg for anyone from HO who reviews this to listen to the audio on that order.

Happy to be able to get my regular costa again. Always go for a flat white. They've got these neat little baskets which come down now to give you the coffee. Tastes great.

First time I have been in a Costa Drive Through and I was suitably impressed with the ease of service. The coffee was quickly produced and was hot and strong just as I like it.

Enjoy going through the drive thru staff are always polite and smiling !!! That’s why I keep going back !

This is well situated on the retail park and is very handy if you want a coffee and a snack whilst out shopping in the area. Everything is freshly prepared and there is outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. Inside there is very comfortable seating and no one rushes you which is nice. To be recommended.

Awful customer service. Asked for the table to be cleaned and was met with a dirty look! After waiting a while I asked for the cleaning equipment to do this myself. Finally sat down to discover a hair on my cake. Took this back to the counter, no apology or acknowledgement just took it off me and handed over another. Needless to say I will not be returning!

The staff was very friendly, the coffee amazing. You have the option to seat outside. The chocolate muffins was amazing! It will be my place for a good coffee from now on.

My & my wife always drop in as we live not far specially on the weekend. Very relaxing always have a good hot & cold drink and hot food. Staff excellent very professional & great customer service & location is great. Keep up the good work

I come here most times with family and friends. The hot chocolates and coffees are amazing, service are quick and staff are friendly, the last 2 times I've visited now, there's a staff member called Cade, who is just full of joy and friendly to customers if you've had a miserable day, I'm sure he'll cheer you up, but overall lovely service will be visiting again soon :)

After a trip to Halfords for some bike bits AND feeling smug but cold after fitting them- I popped into Costa White City- the place was busy but still spotlessly clean, tables wiped and service was fast and friendly. They have a great team- there was humour and laughter- and one barista knew the order of the man behind me- that’s what one expects in a little individual coffee shop- not a chain on a retail park! The management here must be right on the ball with their staff picks- celebrate the individual and you get this- I’ll be popping in more often as I do my grocery shop here!

Always happy and pleasant staff very quick to produce your orders and send you happily on your way. Coffee is just the best as well.

I ordered two skinny decaf cappuccinos and when I tasted them, you couldn’t taste the coffee at all - just the skimmed milk. I explained this to the server, stating that this is a common problem pretty much unique with Costa Coffee decaf coffees. I asked for an extra shot which all other Costa Coffee chains have always obliged (this is not a question of strength as I don’t particularly like strong coffee, it’s just the decaf capsules are nearly always very weak). The server replied that she would have to charge me £0.45 a shot. I told her that I thought that was unfair and that I’d never had an issue before. She offered to remake it (as per the company policy), to which I replied that was the same thing as putting an extra shot in (in fact less, as she wouldn’t need to add milk and she said she would have to throw the other coffees and coffee cups away!) and we could still end up with the same issue. She replied that she was trying to get to the next level in her career and so was not prepared to do it! No other manager was available (which is why I couldn’t understand why she wouldn’t just do it to look after a customer). What a ludicrous situation. My only option then was to either pay the extra £0.90 or get a refund. Hardly surprisingly, after the appalling treatment (humiliation and arguing in front of other customers) l chose to take the refund. How is that good business sense? They are £5.30 down after having thrown two coffees away and they have proved that I am not worth their custom. I will never go back and advise anyone particularly wanting decaf to steer clear.

Absolutely great service as usual, have to mention Reece as he always gives service with a smile his hospitality is always brilliant.

Like other reviews, I only ever go there for the drive through and even then the staff are so unhappy. They just look like they have been forced to work there.

Visted here on saturday 20th january for lunch. Service really slow. Girl on till charged 2 girls behind me that she clearly knew £3.00 for 2 drinks and cakes and made it quite obvious that she was hiding it from the manager. I ordered 2 hot sandwiches which were cold by the time our drinks were ready. Staff did not seem to know what stock they had in so was told no green tea...then yes we have. No coconut milk for hot chocolate then yes we do. Once we finally got the order and sst down we had staff brushing under the table whist we were eating! This was even the manager doing this! Counted four staff members walking round with headsets. I get this for the drive through but is it required for those on the tills?

If it wasn't for the convenience of the drive through I wouldn't bother. Rude is an understatement. Manners cost nothing! When waiting for our coffee one staff member said to what I'm assuming was his manager "i'm supposed to have to finished now" to which she snapped "you're not the only one" then she stormed off. We hadn't even been acknowledged this whole time. Then the latte came out scolding and the milk was burnt plus my caramel cortado had no caramel whatsoever. I had to ask more than once for sugar and she basically shoved them into my hand. Not one bit of customer service was received during the whole transaction. Not a Hello, a smile or even a thank you. There's no excuse, I've been a barista and worked busy shifts and this is just unacceptable. I will not be returning.

Slow service, rude staff and dirty tables on multiple occasions. I love a costa coffee but I won't be giving this place another chance.

Came here before touring Trafford. Was nice and clean. The service was excellent. They were very nice. The food and drink was really good. Would definitely return.

A friend and I met here for a chat over a coffee and bacon sandwich, we met at 10:20am, on arrival I went to the counter to order my latte and £1 bacon sandwich, which might I add is the reason we met there, only to be told "sorry we have no bacon left, we have sold out" we wasn't offered anything else, and having no breakfast that morning had a very quick coffee and left. I was most unhappy as I hadn't seen my friend for a while but due to us both being hungry we left. Had we have got our sandwich we most probably would have sat there and had a few coffees over a long overdue meet! Not impressed!

This is the best Costa Coffee I have been to in Manchester. Been here a number of times and the service has always been very good, I have found the staff to be very helpful and polite. The drinks have always been made to a high standard and to my requirements.

I love coffee. I love coffee shops. After a very busy Monday, when the Costa in Prestwich Tesco was full to bursting I was really craving a small Costa shaped treat by mid afternoon on the Tuesday. We ended up in the Costa in Stretford Mal.

A chain coffee place.Very welcoming. Blue badge parking. A selection of cakes and savouries. Very clean.

It's a Costa Coffee Cafe, so we know what to expect. But the location! It's perfect! And it's a drive-through. Bliss.

They always seem poorly stocked, the times I have visited recently they have run out of croissants, wafer biscuits, brown sugar & they don't even have daily newspapers as other Costa stores? The staff seem very friendly which is a bonus but doesn't seem as well run as other Costa's I've had the pleasure of visiting!

Stretford mall needed some new blood and a coffee shop is always popular. It's a good size with plenty of seating and outdoor seating too. The staff were all friendly and it was reasonably clean. Service was quick even though we visited Sunday afternoon.
