It's a weatherspoons so nothing more nothing less

i visited wetherspoons recently and i ordered the chicken bites. horrified to see that inside there was a large strange brown spot, very dissatisfied as i frequent wetherspoons regularly, i hope this improves #sendmeagiftcard

Great place, cheap and cheerful.

Eric was an amazing host tonight, anything we needed he was there. Absolutely no trouble. He asked me how my food was and wouldn’t accept that it was fine, knowing the quality was lacking he sent it back and brought out a perfect meal. Thank you Eric. I love a rare steak!

Nice place food was a bit cold got them to warm it up but other than that cheep and cheerful

Lunch wasn’t bad and reasonably priced likewise drinks. However, the stench of cigarettes and vapes blowing through the ground floor fire exit to the front of the building from people smoking outside the door rather than than in the designated area and going on challenged, put us both of our meals. No soap in toilets and the toilets don’t seem to be being checked on a regular basis.

Bar man was grumpy as hell like he didn't didnt want to be there

Went in for a couple drinks, and even though the place was rammed, the service was so fast!!!

Incredible taste, incredible value

Vegetarian breakfast was well cooked and delivered to our table by pleasant staff member. Refillable coffee and tea, was a nice addition.

The environment is quiet, suitable for a few close friends to have a dinner together, the food is of good quality, and it is more suitable for retirees or home workers to stay for a short time

Ordered a chicken shawmara I teaspoon of chicken in a 10inch wrap I cut in half and no chicken in 1 half absolutely disgusting

Waited till 2pm for afternoon deal of Fish & Chips plus a pint for £8.80 due to the very good value. Fish was nicely cooked with crispy batter, chips were hot but varying texture from very soft to quite firm. Surprised to be offered baked beans as well as garden or mushy peas with the meal.

Won't be visiting this establishment again. Went to order my last orders at 23:55 last night (bar shuts at midnight), had to wait 6 minutes until 00:01 and was then told that they couldn't serve me as it would breach their license. Well I am sorry but it is not my fault that they didn't have enough bar staff on to serve people. Disgusting way to treat a regular customer and will be taking my trade elsewhere from now, as will my friends 👍

Fish and chips was very filling should have had a small one. One complaint though...the sachets of tartare sauce were very difficult to get into. Had to use my penknife to cut into them

Weatherspoons do hot drinks as many as u wish...for one off payment of 1.50....carnt be beat...also selection of delicious hot food...all in all can be recommended....

The food was stone cold I'm not kidding.my brother had a vegan option of cold chips literally a tea spoon full of beans and 3 sausages, absolutely crap.will not buy what I regret calling food here ever again.

Purchased a pint of Guinness and a pint of cider for my wife both smelled and tasted of a chemical cleaner i returned them both to the bar the barman agreed with me, he went down stairs and returned with two replacement pints unfortunately there was no change with the taste or smell, this has never happened before in all the years I've been frequenting the j p joule, maybe standards are starting to slip, anyway sadly i won't be popping in for a meal or a pint for a long time to come.

New noodle main added to menu was ordered, was good but was not hot enough in heat temperature,!! ordered at the table, 1 drink arrived to be told other drink for my partner would have to wait because they were under staffed!! Went home to a really upset stomach 😪 sorry will not be returning 🙃....

Food was great and the staff was amazing

Pleasant atmosphere. Very satisfied with the amount and quality of cask ales provided. Myself and my hubby had a lovely time here. Bars on both upstairs and downstairs. Better choices on the downstairs bar though.

Had great steak with fries for £5.99 as a special. Really tasty. Plus great real ales.

Brill night to end our anniversary. Asked Marie for advice on the drinks to end our night and she didn't disappoint. Lovely bar staff. All 3 were fantastic and very helpful. Amazing service. Made our anniversary memorable.

Went in the JP Joule for a drink with the family while visiting Sale. As you do. Welcome to the most bizarre experience of my life. Well, one of them. For whatever the reason, mistake, insanity, a snap decision, curiosity, mental illness. I ordered a fizzy rhubarb. My wife and daughter snorted their decision as they awaited their lemonades. The chuckles were clearly audible. Then the rhubarb arrived. Christ on a bike. I've never licked a thistle after a dog has scented the area, but I can only imagine the taste of that drink came very close. It was like drinking an autopsy. The smell alone was making people at the adjoining table cry. It was death in a can. With ice, to prolong the taste and chill the agony. It was beyond disgusting, an assault on the senses. Within five minutes my bladder began to evacuate all contents and soon kicked my bowels into copying the antics. It was awful, it was horrific. Pub was OK though.

Quick service. Functional Wetherspoon's pub like they all are without much atmosphere. Didn't think much of the chicken basket, served with about 10 chips.

A Spoons where you are spoilt for choice with the Cask Ale selection which justifies the pub being in the Good Beer Guide 7 years running. Toilets upstairs but so is another bar so no worries there. Top class bar staff 👍🏻 and so handy for the Metrolink for all stations to Altrincham and Manchester.

I had a five bean chilli jacket potato with a hot drink and a very good ale for under £10. I enjoyed my meal and drinks on the first floor, served by a friendly young female ( Beth or Amber). I would return to this Wetherspoons.

Cheap and cheerful. I wouldn't ordinarily frequent a Wetherspoons because Tim Martin is an obnoxious Brexshit voter and I hope he suffers from the lack of cheap foreign labour that he voted for.

Upstairs and down stairs bars , toilets are a typical wetherspoons mission downstairs and normal distance upstairs ! , all ales downstairs , selected drinks on upstairs bar. Smoking at the front , outside back permanently closed due to back houses (noise levels) no drinks at the front when door staff are on , normally just Friday and Saturday night , friendly place , a complete typical wetherspoons ! Only 4 star due to back permanently closed. Update , last orders is still 11.45-12.00pm on normal days 🍺 (normal days Sun - Thurs)

Wetherspoon in Sale does what it says on the tin. Great prices, well kept beer... Need more effort on keeping tables clean!

A bit disappointed as it was fairly quiet though a very wet day. The small food order went awry though after making a reasonable complaint we got what we'd ordered and extra to compensate.

The worst breakfast I have ever had. Ok I don't expect 5 star cuisine at Wetherspoons but this wasn't even worth one star. It was almost stone cold on every item, including the toast and I won't even mention the fatty bacon. I told the server and she just said "sorry".

Well decided to call in for a mixed grill and pint of punk ipa. Ordered my food and asked could I kindly put my phone on charge as the battery was dead. I would have normally ordered on the app, but could not because battery was dead. But the young lad said that he couldn't. I said that I have done it on plenty of occasions. But he still refused, telling me instead to go upstairs and see the manager for permission. But there was no manager he was in his office or that's what the girl behind the bar said. And she suggested I go downstairs and speak with a blonde haired manager not a male, as the person downstairs had suggested. But there was no manager to be seen. So I put on charge next to the fruit machine, and moved table so that I could keep an eye on it. The young lad whom was on his own had a queue of 5 at the bar. . Then when he had finished serving he brought my meal. Chips stone cold steak warm but on cold side, lam warm but on cold side peas cold. Sausages red hot. I tried a bit of each that's all. I was really hungry, got up to complain, but once again the young lad was busy. So I just thought you know what I am hungry and didn't want it going even colder. Then a couple of minutes later, yes you guessed it the blonde manager came round clearing tables. So I thought that I would tell her. And all she said was you should have told us. I had still loads on the plate and I do mean loads. And she just walked off. What a terrible response and un proffesional attitude and approach. Definitely needs a refresher in customer service skills and manners. Will definitely never order any food from here ever again. This weatherspoons is definitely going down hill. 👎

Overall good experience of food and service but it's more on british eateries and lack of Indian tastes.

The last two Saturday mornings we have been in Sale and decided after a recommendation to try breakfast, gotta be honest it was really good for £6.70 large breakfast including two slices of toast, coffee separate but then unlimited, great value, would definitely recommend

Considering it was a very loud and busy Friday night, the service was fast and friendly. The only table we could find had not yet been cleared, but it was cleared as soon as we sat down. Our food arrived quickly - the portions were rather small considering the recently increased prices, but tasted good. I'd come back here, especially on a less busy evening.

Ok for a drink but below the weatherspoons norm. Disgusting breakfast served lukewarm at best.

Awful food no staff was waiting over twenty minutes for food which was cold and look like reheated complained to the manager and was offered no refund or apology letter sent to head office avoid this wetherspoons

Nicely managed, pocket friendly , smiling staff and amazing drinks with deal to choose from. What else can one ask for. Ordering is super easy with app and than delivery is super amazing as well. I'm impressed Thanks team

If the muffins had been toasted then this would have been excellent. Sadly, it didn't work well on a cold, dry muffins. Such a shame.

Went in for a quick bit of food with my 2 kids, food took approx. 45 minutes to arrive, which was fine as the kids were occupied, food came out and it wasn't the best on this visit to be honest, it just didn't taste that great, even the extra toast ordered came out burnt..? Who burns toast and actually still sends it out..? any way, we didn't really enjoy the food on this visit however, we have been before, and it has been nice, we really like the Lasagna! So yes, we would go back again, but when its not as busy, and not on a game day.
