I visited here on Saturday with my 8 week year old and husband. All the women in the tea room were so lovely and attentive. Very helpful when it came to arranging a bottle for my little one. Cakes were fantastic, I would have had double helpings if I was still pregnant. I absolutely love Monmouth coffee and didn’t expect a little coffee house like this to have that brand so was pleasantly surprised that they did. I would highly recommend the place not only for the cake and coffee but also for the service and for making us feel at home and relaxed with our little one. Will be visiting again very soon

I agree with the others that this micropub offers a good selection of craft beers, wines & ciders. But unfortunately there's no normal draft lager, only cans available. Nice bar snacks. Small but cozy with a seating area outside also. Staff polite and helpful.

The service is always very good and really friendly but the main reason I had such a great time this particular visit was the absolutely delicious gluten free brie and beetroot tartlet. It is so rare to find good gluten free options anywhere but this was particularly delicious.

Lovely quaint pub. Love that it's on so many different levels. Really cosy.

Book into the bistro lovely ambience great food ...Don't walk run !

Christmas lunch. No crackers, no sprouts (not everyone likes them but hey it’s traditional) no parsnips. The plates varied greatly among our group - some were missing pig in blanket, some less turkey, one had no roast potatoes! For those that ordered dessrt they were advised the custard was « not up to standard@ so we’re offered ice cream instead. The person who did get custard said it looked like milk. This is not a cheap place to eat and the offering was frankly well below par. !

Not been here for a while, now I'm. Neros fan. Been in Neros once today already so decided to revisit Costa. What a mistake! Had a decaff latte that tasted like it was made with UHT milk. It was also missing a crucial ingredient -- coffee! Service was also disappointing with a surly man barking out orders to a young lady (who used to work in Neros, strangely enough!). Neros is across the road so do yourself a favour and head there.

Today we came down for some food around 1ish, we were really looking forward to eating here, however when ordering drinks it took 20 minutes for them to arrive and then we ordered a few breads for the table and only one showered up with no plates for us to butter the bread on, I had to use my tissue to avoid getting it on the table however that just meant my bread got stuck to my napkin. Then when our starters came they were lovely, but it took the staff a long time to clear after we had finished them and it wasn’t easy to get the attention of staff as they either weren’t on the floor or too busy stood talking to each other, it was really disappointing, when mains came, I had steak which was brought out to me lukewarm and although I ate it, it was not cooked how I liked, I would have told a staff member however none were to be seen and then everyone’s dishes were taken, I was very unhappy with my meal today and wished it had been better given we had been there before no problems.

Looking somewhat drab on outside. If this was your first visit you would probably go elsewhere. However, the inside is more pleasant.

Excellent food & super staff. Manager who really listens x Pub is always inviting and exceptionally clean. Staff always proactive and friendly!

Disappointing Turkey Sandwich does not really describe it. Christmas Specials board stated Turkey and Stuffing sandwich £8.50, thought for that money it would be carved Turkey. When it arrived I was totally shocked to find one slice of processed Turkey, of very poor quality. For this price it should be decent quality, they have a total cheek advertising that as Turkey. Do not get fooled by the Christmas special as there is nothing special about it. They should be ashamed charging £8.50 for processed meat you can buy all year round, needless to say I won’t be returning.
