Girl’s Christmas lunch one of the best Christmas meals I’ve had in years

Went for a late afternoon Sunday roast dinner. Of all the pub Sunday roast dinners I have had over a decent number of years this really was number 1 by some distance. It was all cooked to perfection presented well. If I'm in the area again I will definitely be going back.

Loved this place! Sophie was the best ever, service was incredible!

We were pleased to receive a very warm welcome at the Tiger’s Head. The place is cozy and spotlessly clean, and service from the young female waitresses was exceptional - polite and positive. The food was good quality and we thought it was great value. Highly recommended.

Fab service, cosy decor and really good food! I am coeliac and the GF menu was great including lots of extras that sadly often are just taken off the plate to make it GF! The triple roast was amazing although I had to ask for cracking and also it was missing a pig in blanket. Generous portions and Bakewell tart for desert. Glass of wine and coffee to end and all for £40!! Really impressive and will be back thank you !!☺️

It was good to go back and have a meal in a place I'd worked when I was 18/21, either side of uni. The service was friendly and professional, and wasn't over the top, but at the same time, not lacking. The food was lovely, and the only wait time, was the cooking time. The mixed grill was lovely, and I think if the plate had been to share, I still could've finished it. The Salted Caramel Sundae was lovely, and not too sweet or too much. I had a bit of my friend's sticky toffee pudding, which was very tasty as well. Highly recommended, oh and some decent dark ales (Abbott Ale is my favourite). Prices are reasonable.

Popped in Sunday 27/10. Did not disappoint. Food and service excellent. Has a real nice feel about the place. Staff are brilliant and food is fantastic. Off there again this weekend. Great management too. 100% recommend. Sue N

One of my favorite places. Service is super friendly. Mushroom starter and Duo of Korean chicken are my favorites here. Have been here many times now and will be there in the future as well.

We had a lovey evening with friends in a very comfortable dining room with excellent, cheery, service from our waiter, Rob. Great surroundings.

Food was nice but had a mixed seasonal salad which consisted of rocket with 4 thin slices of radish. No cucumber or tomato. When I asked about it the waiter brought me 2 very wafer thin slices of cucumber from the kitchen. Very disappointed. Took the desert of the bill

I have just had a great experience at The Tigers Head Chislehurst. Me and my partner have just completed The London Loop walk and arrived at the pub to have a fantastic breakfast Thanks to Rob and Sophie for making our stay very enjoyable.. Thanks to All Trails for providing us with the walking app and the breakfast. Again thanks to Rob and Sophie and tbe Chefs at the pub for a great overall experoence. Dont forget to download the All Trails App to keep you fit and healthy. We will be back fitter and healthier next time 5*

We all had a very enjoyable lunch here, good selection on the menu. Staff very helpful.

Had drinks and nibbles with a friend on a Friday night. Pub was fairly empty for a Friday night. However the service was very shockingly bad. The waitress asked us to place food order 4 to 5 times with span of about 10 to 15 mins of entering during which time we had already ordered drinks. But the pressure to order food multiple times in short span when we had made clear we will order something was too much. The waitress was incredibly rude. We had ordered sweet potato fries, for started didn't look fries and were spherical. Worst was they were not well cooked , similar to the onion rings. When we complained , waitress was dismissive stating this is how fries are, didn't offer to sort the problem. Ruined my evening where I was looking for a quiet time and good atmosphere ,totally the opposite

What a lovely lunch, steak & ale pie delicious, staff attentive and welcoming. Food has definitely improved from few years ago, we will be back.

Came for breakfast. Although we arrived near the end of breakfast service and the team were preparing for a busy lunch service we were very well looked after. This is the second breakfast we have had here and it is top notch.

The roast dinner was amazing, lovely celebration for mums birthday. Scott was a fantastic host, very attentive, great fun, will definitely go back.

Staff were ok, food was very bland and not much seasoning to it . The food menu is outdated . And should look at improving the vegan dishes-as little to nothing of choices. And asked for a peppermint tea and get given a lukewarm water .

Really lovely food, service was great on a busy Friday. Just great all around. Staff are super helpful, friendly. Just couldn’t really ask for much more.

What an amazing afternoon of food and drinks perfect service! Been wanting to come here for a long time and finally we booked to come here and absolutely in no way disappointed…..just superb! Extremely busy which is a good sign. We had great banter with the staff who were so lovely and catered to our every need. My husband had the pie, outstanding & I had the turkey roast dinner minus the potatoes & Yorkshire which was no problem at all and outstanding. Will definitely return for sure

We have visited the tigers head 3 times over the last week or so having not visited in years. We’ve been blown away by the staff, service and food each time. It’s been amazing, they’ve managed to create a really lovely and welcoming atmosphere too. We’re looking forward to going back again very soon!

Our visit to the Tigers Head would not of been the same without our amazing bar tender Scot he was attentive to all our needs and welcomed us with a friendly face and very approachable and helpful.

We come to the tigers head most Sundays , and rob the attentive barman always has our drink of choice ready and waiting , great service rob well done .

We had a lovely meal here today but I must admit the service was a little slow. The pub didn’t seem to be busy so we couldn’t see a reason as tho why it was slow but hey ho! The food was amazing!!!

Had the best lunch in ages , a true hidden gem

A group of us visited the Tigers Head yesterday Wednesday the 13th of August our visit did not get off to a good start drinks were ordered and one of my friends called the waitress over very politely and said the drink she was given wasn’t what she asked for the waitress did not ask what was wrong but told her that is what she ordered and that’s what it should taste like my friend continue the conversation with it’s the wrong colour and definitely did not taste right to which the waitress replied in a very rude manner what do you want me to do about it to which my friend replied I would like a different drink please we then went on to order our food which was lovely until we got to puddings another one of my friends ordered apple tart and ice cream a soon as the pudding arrived we all said the same thing the tart case was still raw my friend took a bit and said it was like eating raw pastry we again called the same waitress over who replied that’s what is like it’s vegan and stuck her finger in it and said there was nothing wrong with it again we said it was undercooked she just stood there looking at us and said that’s just how it was and there was nothing wrong with it she just stood there until we said please take it away she clearly had the hump no apology and took it away needless to say we will not be visiting that Pub again

Lovely pub. Amazing food and great atmosphere. Polite and attentive staff and a lovely location.

We live locally to the Tiger’s Head so frequent quite regularly, generally for lunch or an early dinner with the kids. Kids enjoy their meals, but what makes this place great to visit is Scott. He’s always got such a big smile on his face, is so welcoming and always goes above and beyond, he’s such an asset to the pub.

Horrid food and nasty staff and irregular opening hours - go elsewhere!!!!

Wonderful service and delicious food. Such a lovely chilled lunch experience with my bestie. Scott was amazing, friendly, funny and super attentive. We'll be recommending to others and visiting again!

Genuinely just a great pub overall. Food is just spot on with great prices and choices of alcohol beverages. Dog friendly with an outside seating area and a 10 second walk to a field to walk your dog. Great service and atmosphere and will always come back.

Booked 7 30 left 9 30 very bad service not waitress fought kitchen very slow waited 40 minutes for starters. Lost appetite for mains when they came glad to leave won't be returning.

The Sunday roast was exceptional, I think the price was very fair and Scott the waiter life and soul of the place made the visit well worth the while

We sat in the beer garden on a lovely got day We started with some cider and a honey gin with was lovely Despite it not being busy, the service was very slow, and the wait staff weren't very intentive to clearing our table or asking if we wanted more drinks. I did think the food was nice, however.

The sunday roast was lovely, the turkey was probably the most tender I think I've ever had, and Cameron, who served us was delightful.

I saw their ‘dine out’ promo. And assumed (incorrectly) it was a takeaway option, it wasn’t! It was for a at home date night with my wife. The staff however were excellent, understood my absolute fail and put my order together in some make shift Tupperware, and I’m still married! Top service. Thank you!

Don't go for a steak sandwich here on a Monday. Mine looked and tasted like the poor offcuts from their Sunday roast. The fish and chips looked good, but I made a bad choice.

Apart from one member of staff who was great the rest were bad. One waitress was so miserable and was rude to our table. Nobody seemed to know what they were doing and we had to wait ages for our mains. Use to be a good place but has gone downhill.

Lovely pub with friendly staff, the location is nice too. Has a cosy semi rural feel to it so you can enjoy a relaxing pint.

We visited today & we wouldn't bother again, there was one person taking orders in the garden. We ended up ordering 3 rounds of drinks because the food took that long to arrive. Our 5 year old didn't even eat the food.The service is appalling.

Waited for ages for our food and when it came my daughter couldn't eat it because the vegetables were burnt black.Her dish was taken off the bill but we were left very disappointed with the whole experience

After a visit to Chislehurst Caves I took a group of 17 pensioners to the Tigers Head yesterday for lunch and just want you to know how much we all enjoyed it.

Just had an amazing taster of the chapel down “ touch of sparkle “ it is so light and refreshing. My husband and I usually have the house prosecco, but Tash insisted that we try this. Tash u have such good taste it was lovely. We have been coming here for many years now and have never had a bad experience and are always welcomed with friendliness and helpfulness, particularly when stuck with what to drink. Thankyou to all the amazing staff at the Tigers.

The menu has changed and the new one is not very clear with what you're getting. The lamb shank shepherds pie is a lamb shank in a pile of mash with about 1cm of minced lamb underneath! Please bring back the lasagne.

A place that serves food should be hyper aware to allergies, unfortunately the Tigers Head is not. My first time eating there ended in absolute agony due to eating gluten which I am allergic too and I specifically ordered gluten free food. Eateries forget that if it was a nut allergy I may have died and the same care and attention should be taken with other allergies as 2 days later I am still suffering and you will never understand the full extent of someone's allergic reaction. ALL the staff need further education on cross contamination because I could see a multitude of mistakes which is the likely cause of my allergic reaction. Still had to pay full price for the meal.... A little reply to my review. It's interesting how I say "you will never understand the full extent of someone's allergic reaction." Yet the response proceeds to tell me how my allergy should affect me. Below I have been told my food was prepared separately however I have recently learned the same grill is used for all food. Finally none of my party were offered a refund/discount. I'm not saying this is a bad place to go, I'm just warning anyone with a food allergy to check and question staff if you order food here. It's also great for business to look at how they do things and make reasonable changes.

We ordered a bottle of Prosecco which was warm, which was quickly changed to Rose Prosecco because this was the only cold one they had on a Friday evening… My friend fish and chips was lovely, my steak and chips not so good chips not freshly cooked , a quarter of my steak I couldn’t eat to grisly and peppercorn sauce very thick !! I’ve used this place for years and have not had a particular good meal for ages and for the moment I think I need to give it a rest I think the basic of not having a cold bottle of Prosecco did it for me.

Nice quite pub with great food and lovley outside area. Service a little slow but think they may of been short staffed on the day. Manager was extremely apologetic though. Would definitely return.

We were not asked if anyone had allergies. The menus were handed out and a gluten free menu was requested. Orders were taken and waiter confirmed the no gluten order of burger with mash. All food took a long while to be served for a party of six. The gluten free meal was brought out with the other meals. (Cross contamination). It should be brought out separately. The beef sirloin with Yorkshire pudding was mediocre in flavour and was barely warm. The gluten free burger with mash looked uninspiring although it was eaten to the detriment of my guest who reacted within twenty minutes and spent the rest of our time in the toilet and in pain. Having complained to the waiter, he went away and came back with apologies saying the staff follow all correct procedures. Another waitress (surly) spoke up whilst clearing other tables trying to justify that contamination could happen at the manufacturers. My birthday meal with my family was totally spoilt, and my daughter was left in pain for the rest of the evening. I do not accept the apology. It should not happen. I believe cross contamination took place as that is the only explanation to my daughter's reaction. Anyone with a gluten intolerance or coeliac should avoid eating at this establishment.

Best roast and pub meal in the area. Excellent menu and the roast is brilliant (short rib roast for me and vegetarian roast for my other half). Specials menu always has something tempting too. Varied indoor seating which was really comfy with luxury rustic feel to it. Spacious outdoor seating. Family friendly service. We were served by Di who was super attentive to our 2 yr olds needs with excellent service to us. The type of roast/pub experience you show off to visiting family or friends for sure!

Nice pub with a calm atmosphere. My first choice of mains was a bit small, so needed a second main. 2nd main pie and chips was great. The staff had to list a whole load of items they didn't have in, including several veggie options; so I did miss out on my ideal meals. Also, Chislehurst, so not affordable, but overall I did enjoy my lunch here.

One waitress needed to add a smile to her face. Other the atmosphere would have got 4*

Very poor service, and food not great 😕

Have not been to Tigers Head for a long time. It used to be very cosy, a place to get out of the wet and cold and relax. This week It was quite cool in there, no carpets, just wooden floors. the seats are cold plastic. the waiter was a pleasant, helpful person and we had the best Sticky Toffee Pudding we have ever had. It needs warming up with decor, make it more warm and cosy. Did not like talking to a "robot" when booking, needed to ask questions that you could not.

I’ve been here many times over the last 20 years and it’s generally always good. However, the experience is upgraded to ‘great’ when Scott is working. Never seen such service in any other restaurant I’ve been to. He must be an asset to the company!

We was welcome by Scott who is full of personality and made us feel extremely welcome. Scott was humerous and is an asset to the tigers.

Just had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Tigers Head. Service was quick, efficient and Scott was super friendly . Food was served quickly, hot and delicious. Surroundings clean and good value for money. First visit, already booked to go again.

Fabulous Sunday roast had with the very effervescent Scott....what a super star. Ideal waiter; there when you need him and not when you dont! As well as being funny, he was very good at his job.

Smaller size sea bass fillets and scallops than usual and were overcooked. However everyone else in my group were satisfied with their meals. However, excellent, quick and friendly service given how busy the restaurant was.

I had a lovely evening catch-up with my friend and the Tigers Head was a great place to meet. The food was lovely and our waitress Dee was very friendly and attentive.
