Fantastic selection of beers including real ales and IPAs. Cute venue - busy but lovely atmosphere with friendly patrons and customers. Bougie!

Did not eat, just a couple of pints of local beer. Great atmosphere for a micro pub it was quite full for a Tuesday night which says a lot about the staff and beer.

Fantastic micropub based in a florists(!) in a lovely location on Royal Parade. Great selection of ales both local and from further afield which are always in excellent condition. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cosy. Seating is close together and encourages conversation amongst customers. Far and away the best place for real ale in Chislehurst and rightly voted by Bromley CAMRA as their Pub of the Year.

Great little spot with an array of ciders and beers. Staff are super friendly and they allow dogs! The food is great (fantastic quality, including Neal's Yard cheese). Cleanliness could be improved, our glasses were filthy.

Lovely little pub with a great selection of craft beers. Updated 29.3.24: Remarkably, this has got even better! Busy, friendly, yet waited no time at all to be served by incredibly polite and pleasant bar staff. Food looked superb, but didn't actually try any so can't leave a star rating for that. Will definitely be back.

Superb selection of IPA, bitters, Apa, ciders, wine, gin etc.. Boards updated regularly with new brews, Friendly staff, very helpful in choosing to ones palette ! Recommend the Smorgasbord 100%. Lovely independent Business within selling Flowers, reefs, cards etc.. lovely place all round, cosy and quirky with the nicest staff you'll ever meet !

Love this place, have been several times, however on this occasion was slightly disappointed with the cheese board, had 3 pieces of cheese, one cheddar and 2 blue - normally in the past the selection has been far superior (soft, blue and cheddar) hopefully this is a 'one off' Thank you for your response we visited the cockpit on 16th December

We were visiting the area and stumbled across the Cockpit. What an excellent find! Fantastic place with excellent well kept beers (and a good and varied range) and they also do wine - what's not to like? We felt very welcome and would certainly not hesitate to come back!

What a great place. Great staff and an excellent selection of craft beer. Knowledgeable staff that can go in depth about each beer to help you decide what to have. Busy on a Friday evening but manageable getting served. The pricing of the beers is such a nice change. The ones on offer to us ranged from £5.90 a pint, all the way down to £3.90! Not having to get a second mortgage every time you get a round in, is a pleasant change. Definitely recommend this place for a night out, especially if craft beer is your thing. (a selection of wines and spirits are also available)

Nice micropub in Chislehurst. We didn't try any food, but we tasted their rich in flavors micro stouts and porters and we loved it. Thank you!

I've been wanting to visit the Cockpit since it opened, and I have to say it did not disappoint. Wonderful ambiance, great brews, and a fab looking menu to boot! Can't wait to visit again soon!

This really is a little gem of a place with some superb beers on tap. Great, friendly staff and a real community feel... They also cater well for dogs with a jar of treats and the offer of a water bowl. Easy to see why this place has won awards.

Lovely little pub, beautifully decorated with good space management. We didn't eat due to a dinner waiting for us at home. The gentleman that served us was friendly and welcoming and happy to let me try the IPA before purchase, I highly recommend if you like a decent pale ale or IPA for a good price. And it's Dog friendly!

This is the kind if pub everyplace needs! Great drinks, good food and a friendly atmosphere. This place does a great selection of reals ales, wines and cider. The food menu is select with traditional pub fair like Scotch eggs and sausage rolls but also serves great meat and cheese platters.

Excellent micropub, great range of beers, cider and wine which changes on a regular basis. Shares the space was a florist which helps get rid of the pub smell!

If You are in to Real Ale, it's a must, staff are Brilliant the Real Ales are top notch and the ambience is real nice. Well worth a visit. Not tried the food.

Why go to the Bulls Head? The Cockpit has bags of character, a better drink selection and it’s just better.

Always guaranteed a warm welcome. Small, friendly micro pub with a good choice of beers and wine. Also do a small selection of light bites including sausage rolls, pork pies and scotch eggs at £7.50 - very tasty, packed with meat and nicely served. Flower shop inside adds a pleasant smell and a splash of colour. Just a shame we don’t live a little closer.

Very nice pub with friendly and cheerful staff. The ales I had were in perfect condition. However, charging £5.90 for a pint of cask Shangri-la is hard to understand.

Have been here many times since it’s opening during Covid (there’s confidence for you!!) Always buzzing. Almost don’t want to praise it, it’s such a great little gem. Welcoming and friendly ambiance, great outside space, delicious food platters and tasty artisan ales. Dog friendly too. Recommended!

Went in for one drink and stayed for much more. It was welcoming and staff were amazing. Loved the decor, if I could give it more stars I would. Excellent.

First time I have been to the cockpit. The interior is nice with the decor a cross between a florist and the country bar. This isn’t your typical micro pub with tall benches and bar stools. There are tables and chairs inside with a heated outdoor seating area on the pavement. We went about 7.30pm on a Saturday and the bar was busy with 99% of seats taken and a few people standing outside. As the evening wore on it got slightly less busy. The bar has a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly and efficient. The choice of beers is excellent and I had two session beers from the Kent brewery, A Juice Forsyth from a York brewery and a red ale to finish my evening off with. Every pint tasted very fresh as if the brewery was next door. The choice of beers should suit most real ale drinkers. I noticed that they also had some cans of craft ale. Also the session ale was under a fiver whilst the stronger beers were competitive to high street prices. Looking forward to my return to celebrate my mates birthday. Definitely the best real ale in the Bromley area. I can see why a friend has made it his local even though it’s a couple of miles from his house. Well worth the extra bit of effort if you have to travel. Check out bus routes as the Chislehurst parade is easily reached by a good few bus routes.

Cask ale is always in A1 condition with knowledgeable staff and a friendly, local clientelle which leads to a cracking atmosphere 🍻🍻

This micro pub is a testament to the enduring dignity and elegance of the human spirit. I was an atheist before I drunk here. Every man had become my foe. Now I see again. Look into the barman or bar woman’s eyes, and you will know, we are all feathers carried on the breath of God. The surroundings elevate the spirit and command fealty to good cheer and levity. The drinks, in this exhausting world, are priced according to the spirit of bonhomie. Delicious tinctures, artfully curated and kindly served. You may choose from an array of delectable foodstuffs, tastefully chosen to balance refinement and elegance to the palate with the substance necessary to help you handle a pint of Farmhouse without drunk dialling your GP. And all the whilst, a veritable cacophony of fragrance, the great incense of life itself, wafts around us, as we take our passage along Bacchus’s good path. Set foot dear soul, reward thy labours with many nectars.

Just a superb micropub. Very well-chosen selection of extremely well-kept ales, as well as cans of interesting beers and ciders. Lots of selection in wines, too- my wife tells me the prosecco is rather nice. Great atmosphere, lots of people enjoying themselves. Very knowledgeable staff, always friendly and happy to give tasters of the beers. No hot food, but a great line in bar snacks, including the superb smorgasbord, with cold meats, very good cheese and pickles. Also the biggest capers I have ever seen. Love this place!

I've been coming here nearly every week since it opened and have never been disappointed. There's a great selection of around six beers that are constantly changing, some even disappearing from the board before your eyes! Ciders, wine and spirits are also available along with nibbles and some excellent snacks. Don't forget some flowers on the way out. This is the only pub in the country that has a florists' in the corner, a fact that was commented on in the Letters page of The Times recently.

Lovely little “pub” with excellent beer choice…

My husband and I are regulars here. He loves the ever changing real ale board and I’m happy with the good quality Prosecco. There are however plenty of options other than real ale (cider, wine etc) all at a reasonable price. The customer toilets are the best in Chislehurst! And the fact it’s shared with a florist makes it visually pretty too. The only downside I’ve found in the past 6 months is the high level of young children and babies. It’s not a huge venue, and they do make it a little uncomfortable taking up limited space and making such noise, which doesn’t travel well inside. You can see in the main the kids are not enjoying themselves being in a bar, so parents get a sitter or maybe the owners could consider making it child free inside or after a certain time? Snacks look good, just not tried as yet. Overall a fab addition and the best place for a glass in Chislehurst.

Good choice of ales and there was a quiz taking place when we were there. Parking could be a problem so best to go by public transport (bus). Very unsual the way into The Cockpit is through a florist.

Don’t go every week, but we’ve been maybe 12/15 times since April. Great range of (regularly changed) beers, also a good number of proper ciders. My only “comment” would be, they never have a draught lager on, and thumbs on nose to the beer snobs, but a proper lager is still an excellent beer, especially in summer. Limited food, due to lack of space, but the cheese and charcuterie boards are both very good, and generous portions. Adam and the team are great hosts.

One of the best places I’ve ever been in Chislehurst - I’d recommend a glass of bubbly and ask for a choice of the wines too - the place is amazing and very gay friendly along with being very homely Xx lots of love

A great place with really friendly service. The beers are brilliant. The chalkboard listing the beers is constantly changing which means every visit is a different experience. Wide selection of wine, gins and artisan ciders to choose from. Lovely outdoor seating for the warmer months and food platers offer hearty fare - scotch eggs, pork pies and charcuterie. If you need helpful advice choosing your beer of choice the knowledgeable staff are always more than keen to assist.

Great place love to sit outside with a glass of wine in the evenings.

Excellent micropub and shared with an excellent well established florist .Lovely outside seating at front. A beautiful smell of flowers greets you upon entry. Cheeseboard,chauterie,scotch eggs and pork pies to eat plus 6 changing casks to drink plus great cans and bottles selection Unlike other places the Landlord is a drinker who certainly knows his stuff so be prepared for some really tasty beers which could convert larger drinkers to Real Ale.Also excellent toilets.Look out for the smiley face hand drier. The Cockpit has great atmosphere and character with friendly staff and customers alike.Can't wait to visit again.Free gin tasting sessions by Wessex starts at 7pm tonight. Six different gins.

Very nice pub, nice outdoor seating area and a good regularly changes selection of proper beers. Particularly enjoyed the marshmallow porter on my last visit. Piers (manager) is particularly welcoming and knowledgeable, but the whole team are friendly and helpful.

Little piece of chiselhurst heaven! My son works here and just had my birthday celebrations here! Best day in the best place spent with my nearest & dearest, love it, drinks are reasonable people are friendly what's not to like! Go visit have a cheeseboard which are homemade pickles and the finest cheese! Washed down with beautiful wines! Try you won't be disappointed 😉

There are a few micropubs in Bromley now, and none better than the Cockpit. Decent size inside, with an outdoor seating area, including heaters and umbrellas. Adam's choice of beers is unbeatable. Always a range of beer styles (stouts, dark beers, pales, very hoppy jobs), always of very high quality and perfectly kept. Decent range of cans and bottles too. Food is excellent- bar snacks at the next level. The cheeseboard is amazing!

Good place to pop in after a walk round the woods and commons.Friendly helpful staff. Good selection of beers. The 'house' beer priced below £4 and other beers reasonably priced considering that this is Chislehurst. Also sells wines and gins and bar snacks. The size and internal layout dampens sound, so you aren't having to constantly having to listen to other customers' conversations, which is the downside of so many micropubs

Drop in quite regularly on our walks. Fabulous changing range of ale. Always super fresh and the staff are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. Great atmosphere and clientelle too. This week we tried the sharing cheese board for first time. Oh wow! Seriously the best cheese board we have ever had in any pub (and we've been in a few) and better than pretty much any restaurant including some Michelin starred ones too. A unique little piece of convivial hospitality in a world of sameness.
