Ted's coffee shop in Bromley

Bickley wouldn't be the same without Ted's and my Saturday mornings wouldn't be the same without a coffee at Ted's. The coffee is consistently great and service is always friendly.

The gentleman that works in there is very friendly and polite. I unfortunalty got there and they was about to shut the shop but he still let me in to get a coffee. Was very greatful he let me get my coffee. To be honest any time i have been in there the staff in geraral are really friendly.

Just had afternoon tea, absolutely delicious. Such a friendly couple running the place. Would definitely do that again. First class.

Really disappointing, waited in the queue was told to sit at a table & we would be served Waiting for 15 minutes while people that came in after us got served at the till If your to busy to serve & prepare food- Hire another person Waste of time

Superb food, excellent coffee but most of all lovely staff which makes this place such a pleasure to visit. Loads of customers are repeat visitors which just goes to show how lucky Bickley is to have such a great venue.

Food and service from the lady was great but spoilt by the strong smell of burning fat, my clothes now stink of cooking and need to get coat dry cleaned. Have had comments from strangers in shops afterwards, have I been for breakfast! Also smokey cooking atmosphere stung my eyes whilst there. Mentioned it to the owner, who didn’t even face me and dismissed my comment. I won’t be returning and feel sorry for the lovely lady that has to work there!

What a find this place is. I actually didn’t realise it was there having been to other food outlets on the row of shops for a number of years. Warm welcome, personable service, nice environment, and fresh sandwiches. I’ve now been twice in 3 days for takeaway. I shall try sitting in & having a breakfast and slice of cake when I get the chance. All looks great.

"The Best Flat White I have had in ages" I found the staff at Teds very welcoming , Friendly and extremely helpful Teds has a nice relaxing vibe unlike the larger coffee chains Teds is a great place to chill and watch the world go by. Next time im working in Bromley i will definitely be going back its such a shame their isn't more Coffe shops like this.

I have been visiting Ted's for a while now...always a warm and friendly welcome, delicious coffee and milkshakes and a lovely selection of food and cakes. The jacket potato with home made coleslaw is delicious and very reasonably priced. A much valued part of the Bromley Common community and lovely that dogs are welcome (and offered treats when they visit).

Good coffee, good food and grumpy host (John), thankfully Natalie provides the service with a smile. My family swear by Ted's as go too for breakfast, brunch or Lunch

My wife always says that of all the cafes in the neighbourhood Ted's serves the best coffee and the snacks are excellent too. In addition, we always get a friendly welcome from John and his staff. My only worry is that too many people might discover this cafe and then for us that would be a pity but of course good for John's business.

Best coffee shop around. Warm and friendly. John always makes us feel welcome and has a bit of banter with us and nothing is too much trouble to make us feel like valued custoners. Teds is clean and well presented and I recomnend a visit as you wont be disappointed.

Little cosy family owned cafe, owners are very friendly, they remember your name and even how you take your coffee which is wonderful! So much better than going into a chain coffee shop! Let's support our local small businesses! X

Teds is a regular visit for me, the coffee is always perfect and the food selection is great. it is a family run business and you are always treated as family when you are there. They are always more then accommodating to everyone. A big recommendation from me to anyone who has not been there " try the cakes"

I've been going into Ted's since it opened. I've never had a bad experience. Everyone is always friendly, the food and coffee are delicious. I've popped in for a quick coffee, taken friends and family for lunch and even tried breakfast a few times. It does not disappoint. I'm so glad this super little place opened because it's just a great experience every time.

We love going to Ted's for Coffee and a Chat sometimes for a tempting cake or sausage roll. It is always beautifully clean, the coffee is fab and the hot chocolate is tempting and the guys there are so friendly

This is place is a very handy place for locals like me, and the coffee is the best coffee I've tasted. Hats off to Ted for such a great little place. Just need to increase the choice of food on offer.

This is one of my favourite cafés, especially in my local area. It has a warm ambience, with genuinely lovely staff and a varied menu of sandwiches, cakes and snacks that are well-made. I never feel rushed here, or made to feel unwelcome - it's almost like being welcomed into the owner's house for tea! Ted's is a real gem, one I came across by accident but can't help going back to time and time again. Highly recommended.

The cakes here are so delicious that I’m getting fatter by the day. The fact that Ted’s is so close to home doesn’t help! Tasty sandwiches too.

Excellent coffee and hot chocolate. Nearly missed Teds - may want a clearer sign outside indicating it serves hot drinks, would have been a shame to miss it. Sat by the window - sun in my face which was nice and warm but could consider blinds/awning, partial shading would have been better. Prices competitive - deserves to do well. Makes a pleasant change from the usual coffee chains, deserves 5 star for quality of drinks and pleasant service

Popped in with my children around 3.30pm, for a coffee and cake. Well presented cafe with good selection of fresh cakes and sandwiches made to order. Helpful owner, with an eclectic cafe; exposed brickwork, lights, steel chairs and white tables. Great Portuguese custard tarts and Red Velvet cake, will call back in again. A local gem.

Love this place. I recently moved here from Central London and this place makes me feel right at home in the 'burbs. I've been getting my coffee from Ted's several times a week since it opened last summer. Genuine local business with owners who care about their customers. Ask for coffee how you like it and John will try to deliver. I recommend poached eggs on toast with bacon - really good; or the sausage rolls which are epic!

A Thursday morning didn't know it was here but had just out the dog in the groomers and was having a wander

My husband and I have been to Ted's on several occassions and each time the service has been great and welcoming. It is really a unique independent coffee shop that's always worth a visit. The couple who runs the place are really friendly and lovely. I can't recommend this place enough.

Very pleasant visit to Ted's , coffee was first class served by a lovely young couple who took the time to chat . The selection of food and cakes on offer was impressive .

Ted's is a fantastic local coffee shop to go with your family or friends. Great coffee, pastries, cakes and sandwiches. Not forgetting the yummy breakfasts. Much prefer it over any major chain, they just so friendly to everyone!

This café has only been open 6 months so thought I'd try it. Inside the tables are nicely spaced out and a long cushioned seat the whole length of the wall; very comfy. We were greeted very warmly by one of the owners (John??) who suggested various sandwich fillings. There are also breakfast items like toast and scrambled egg and bakery things like sausage rolls and croissant. I had a chicken, crispy bacon and salad sandwich and my partner had the soup plus a hot bacon sandwich; all very yummy. Then 1 skioche for him, its a cross between a scone and brioche, really good and recommended. I got a taste of Kennedy's sausage roll to take away and will be back for another soon. So tasty and the closest to the old Kennedy's sausages I've tasted. I had lots of those sausages growing up so I know what I'm talking about!! With such a nice welcome, good food, tea and coffee this place is already popular with locals and will be on my fav cafes list. Thank you Teds!

No parking restrictions, lovely cakes, good coffee and freshly made sandwiches on request. Really friendly and helpful.

Ted's is such a friendly and welcoming cafe, I really love coming here with my baby daughter as they have highchairs plus plenty of space for buggies (other coffee shops in the area are not so baby-friendly!) They offer a real range of cakes plus hot sandwiches. You must try the Carrot and Orange cake with a flat white. Really great that such a lovely local (and independent) cafe has opened in the area!
