We had a wonderful meal on Sunday for my wife’s birthday. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty. Service was both efficient and prompt, overall a great experience, thank you.

We ate on a Sunday afternoon and had the BEST roast ever. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend anyone with a pooch to attend as four legged friends are also welcome.

I visited with my husband, this place has a great atmosphere,very friendly and great service. We chose from the set menu and food was very good and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it. They have lots going on DJ evenings and other events that we will definitely try.

It was so cosy in their upstairs dining room we didn’t want to leave. Cannot recommend this place enough, will definitely be back soon!

Had a great Sunday lunch at Bank House. Very comfortable restaurant, good quality food and excellent service. The only slight downside was a noisy birthday group but that wasn’t in the restaurant’s control. We will definitely be back

The food was a huge disappointment. The mushroom lasagna was a mush and the pasta was impossible to distinguish from the mushroom. The salmon tartare did not taste of salmon. This place was recommended to me but I would go anywhere else in Chislehurst other than here.

This was our third visit at the Bank House Chislehurst and again (as usual) we were not disappointed by the quality of our lunchtime meal. We chose two roast beef, one pork belly & one chicken meal. The food was well presented, we were served very generous portions of meals - all four of us were well pleased with the quality of food presented to us. We would also mention that Lili was our waitress for the duration of our meal. A delightful young lady who went out of her way to make us feel very comfortable and couldn’t do enough to make our visit very pleasant experience. Lili looked after us in a very professional manner and we sincerely thank her for that.

Disappointed with Bank House as the service and decor was great but the food was average at best! Wouldn’t recommend or go back unfortunately.

It is a local bar restaurant I really like to come with friends. Delicious food, nice people, good ambiance. We came today for lunch with friends again. All good as always. And for an incident that happened unexpectedly, I really appreciated the restaurant manager and a blond tall guy’s patience and problem-solving attitude. To short of long, it was my bad to mistake my son’s coat when rushing out from home which I didn’t realise. I hung it on the chair when seated in the restaurant. Then the blond guy helped pick it up and hang on the clothes stand when seeing it falling on the floor. When we were ready to leave, I couldn’t find my own coat and was worried. The restaurant manager checked the cctv and suggested some next step actions patiently. In the end he showed me the footage where I found I took the wrong coat from home. Really sorry about my own mistake which caused their inconvenience. Very impressed by their customer oriented attitude. Much appreciated!

Christmas lunch. No crackers, no sprouts (not everyone likes them but hey it’s traditional) no parsnips. The plates varied greatly among our group - some were missing pig in blanket, some less turkey, one had no roast potatoes! For those that ordered dessrt they were advised the custard was « not up to standard@ so we’re offered ice cream instead. The person who did get custard said it looked like milk. This is not a cheap place to eat and the offering was frankly well below par. !

Came for a Sunday roast. Food very expensive for what it is. £23-28 for a roast with boiled brocolli and frozen peas. Could get much better food for better value elsewhere

From the moment we entered the service was fantastic, each member of staff was personal and personable. The food was tasty and well presented, and all very reasonably priced for the quality. We are already working out who to bring next time 😊

Food was late and said they ‘forgot’ our food and it took about an hour, portion size wasn’t very big. Our bottle of wine didn’t have a label on and had no cork in when it arrived.

I stand by my previous comment it’s the best roast around. Great cocktails and wine list always good service.

Anton the barman was very knowledgeable and even made us bespoke cocktails. Staff were very friendly and looking forward to the carribean cocktail night.

Great food Great staff Loverly atmosphere George and the waitress worked very hard to make everyone feel welcome. We will be going back next time we are in Chislehurst. I had the best Sea Bass I have eaten in a long time. My husband loved the wine he had. A small demerit mark the chocolate fondant wasn’t. It was a tart with melted chocolate sauce filling. But good pastry chefs are hard to find.

We had ever been to Bank House but fast approaching 60 decided to change that & so glad we did. It was fab. Great service, lovely atmosphere, delicious sharing plates & amazing wine. Great pre-birthday treat. We will go back.

Great menu. The food was well prepared and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and prompt. It had a wonderful atmosphere and decor. Very relaxed with a great view out to the pond.

Stopped in for cocktails- they were delicious and delighted that it was in happy hour. Staff very welcoming and friendly

We had padron peppers to share for starters and roast beef for main. The peppers were not cooked properly and tasted very bitter. There was also no salt on them which they needed. The roast beef was very grissly and chewy for both of us and we had to spit it out as it was inedible. It wasn’t cheap and we expected better. It was our first time there and will be our last. We were very disappointed.

My husband and I really enjoy this restaurant The food is really good, interesting menus. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and we especially like the decor. The only slight drawback ( I wasn’t able to give 4.5) is sometimes the service is a tad slow. While we appreciate not being rushed, it can sometimes feel overlong when they are busy. I expect this is due to staff shortages that are being experienced everywhere. Nevertheless a brilliant local restaurant for us and we will visit again for sure

We hosted our engagement party at Bank House recently in their private space upstairs and had the most wonderful evening. The space is beautiful with a private bar, and the vibe was perfect. The event was smoothly managed by Marcin from start to finish - everything was super organised and the night ran very smoothly and exceeded all expectations. The service from the team was excellent (no one ever had an empty glass!) and the canapés were also delicious. Couldn’t recommend enough, we can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much to the whole team involved.

I booked a table for 6 of us to have Christmas dinner. Although the atmosphere was convivial, and the service couldn't be faulted, the food was very disappointing. The portions were very small and the main courses lacked the usual ingredients to make a proper roast dinner. I had overcooked roast beef which was served with mashed potatoes and a very small side plate of green vegetables to be shared and which consisted of mixed chopped greens and peas. There were no roast potatoes, brussels sprout, or the usual selection of vegetables which go to make up a roast dinner, not even a Yorkshire pudding. My niece had roast turkey. This consisted of a small portion of meat and three tiny roast potatoes plus the shared green vegetables. The Christmas puddings were again very small and the mince pies even smaller. The only redeeming feature of the whole meal were the starters, which were of a reasonable size and enjoyable. It was a very disappointing and expensive experience not to be repeated.

I’ve often been told about Bank House, never really too good. But I went here with my extended family for a lunchtime meal and I was extremely impressed. Good food, great service. We all ordered of the set menu which had good choices for all. I had the whipped Cods Roe to start and it was really really good! The main choice I had steak and it was perfectly cooked. All of the desserts were really good too - we passed them around and shared! The service was attentive but not at all in your face. They have really got it spot on here and I would definitely go back.

Excellent lunch and service. Cecile was a very thoughtful host. Pricey but worth every penny. Back again for a work xmas last night. Excellent night. The nibbles being served were mostly good except for the mini burgers that didn't get eaten. I didn't try it but my work colleagues said they were dry. The tempura prawns were good but the batter was a bit too thick and could do with a bit more seasoning and extra dipping sauce. The chicken, salmon and fish cakes were divine. I don't drink alcohol and the bartender managed to fix me an elderflower cordial drink. Well done Stuart and Cecile! I wish you all the very best in your future restaurant ventures. Great find on the high street, a wine bar that sells reasonably priced food and the added bonus, great friendly staff. Definitely coming back. Would highly recommend

If you haven’t been to Bank House yet, don’t wait any longer: it’s our go to place for a friends dinner (big or small groups) to enjoy quality wine and food, family meal after a long dog walk (yes, furry friends welcomed 🐾) or a romantic evening. The staff is always exceptionally friendly, the whiskey sour is the best in Kent & London and the wine selection is what you would expect of a quality wine bar in central London. The beauty of it is that it’s in Chislehurst, lucky us! Book to avoid disappointment.

Had lunch yesterday with friends. Service slow and when one drink had not arrived after about 10 minutes I asked the waitress to check on it - she said ‘I don’t do drinks darling I am new here I will see if I can find out’. We took that to be rude and condescending so we refused to pay the service - they also charged £15 for a kit royal when the cocktails were 10/11. The waiter said oh we put Bollinger in them!! Very small glasses too. Would not go back - also made us laugh when we paid the bill - it comes up as Wetherspoons! Would have been better service and a lot cheaper at an actual Wetherspoons!

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday, DJ played great music, food and drinks were lovely and the staff were really attentive and filled our drinks continuously. The only little niggle was that the Flat Iron Steak didn’t come with fries so we asked for a portion and we’re charged £5 but later realised when we’d left that the steak should come with a side portion of fries as stated on the menu.

Not been to Bank for a year or so and noticed menu had set lunch so returned. Ate upstairs in restaurant which is bright modern and comfy. Staff attentive but not over bearing. Really enjoyed 2 course lunch. Husband had Toulouse sausages which he loved....

As soon as I walked into the bar the bartender knew I liked Provence Rose and serviced me straight away, he was professional and friendly. We got taken to our table and the decor was really nice and my waiter who served us was always very friendly, helpful and attentive. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough and I can’t wait to go back ☺️

Was recommended Bank House by a colleague of mine, and was not let down. The decor and setting of the venue is very nice. For me, the difference was the staff. Big shout out to Anton and Celia. Made me feel really welcome, very nice to talk to and always checked in on me if I was ok. 10/10 service Take care of staff like this, they are not common to come across. Will be visiting again when I’m back in the area.

Really cosy place, amazing food and friendly service

Food is great, 4 stars because portions are small and it's quite pricey but a lovely treat if you know what to expect. It's got a really sophisticated feel and look, but it is surprisingly incredibly baby and dog friendly. We visit quite often with our baby. The staff are welcoming, chatty and funny. Really like it here.

We came as a family with our 5 and 6 year old kids. They absolutely adored it and they ate for free as kids eat free on a Sunday! The food was fabulous and the service is second to none.
