Lovely date night spot for cocktails and food. Food is always amazing, seasonal and fresh. The bar staff are amazing and will recommend delicious cocktails! Roast was a tad disappointing as I'd been here before for other food, which set my bar high, but the rest of the menu is delicious!

First time upstairs today... didn't even know the upstairs existed!

I booked a table for 6 of us to have Christmas dinner. Although the atmosphere was convivial, and the service couldn't be faulted, the food was very disappointing. The portions were very small and the main courses lacked the usual ingredients to make a proper roast dinner. I had overcooked roast beef which was served with mashed potatoes and a very small side plate of green vegetables to be shared and which consisted of mixed chopped greens and peas. There were no roast potatoes, brussels sprout, or the usual selection of vegetables which go to make up a roast dinner, not even a Yorkshire pudding. My niece had roast turkey. This consisted of a small portion of meat and three tiny roast potatoes plus the shared green vegetables. The Christmas puddings were again very small and the mince pies even smaller. The only redeeming feature of the whole meal were the starters, which were of a reasonable size and enjoyable. It was a very disappointing and expensive experience not to be repeated.

A lovely restaurant. Group of 7 of us went there for a family birthday. Great food and great service. You are looked after and the staff are attentive without ever making you feel rushed. Food is high end and the price is reasonable for the quality you get. Lovely atmosphere. Good drinks list. Will definitely be going back.

Excellent lunch and service. Cecile was a very thoughtful host. Pricey but worth every penny. Back again for a work xmas last night. Excellent night. The nibbles being served were mostly good except for the mini burgers that didn't get eaten. I didn't try it but my work colleagues said they were dry. The tempura prawns were good but the batter was a bit too thick and could do with a bit more seasoning and extra dipping sauce. The chicken, salmon and fish cakes were divine. I don't drink alcohol and the bartender managed to fix me an elderflower cordial drink. Well done Stuart and Cecile! I wish you all the very best in your future restaurant ventures. An amazing venue with fantastic services and food. The team were extremely accommodating for our party of 12 - which included vegans, vegetarians, children and dogs. I would highly recommend this venue.

As soon as I walked into the bar the bartender knew I liked Provence Rose and serviced me straight away, he was professional and friendly. We got taken to our table and the decor was really nice and my waiter who served us was always very friendly, helpful and attentive. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough and I can’t wait to go back ☺️

Really lovely neighbourhood restaurant. Great Sunday lunch - nicest roast beef I have had in a long time. Service smooth and friendly. Noticed other diners enjoying tempura prawns which also looked great. Appealing cocktail list. Complimentary filtered still and sparkling water which is a very welcome touch.

The food was tasty especially cheesecake,toilets very clean which is very important,the only thing I can’t forget is the young blonde waitress staying at the bar touching her teeth (which is not aceptable that is why 4 stars

Was recommended Bank House by a colleague of mine, and was not let down. The decor and setting of the venue is very nice. For me, the difference was the staff. Big shout out to Anton and Celia. Made me feel really welcome, very nice to talk to and always checked in on me if I was ok. 10/10 service Take care of staff like this, they are not common to come across. Will be visiting again when I’m back in the area.

Really cosy place, amazing food and friendly service

Food is great, 4 stars because portions are small and it's quite pricey but a lovely treat if you know what to expect. It's got a really sophisticated feel and look, but it is surprisingly incredibly baby and dog friendly. We visit quite often with our baby. The staff are welcoming, chatty and funny. Really like it here.

We came as a family with our 5 and 6 year old kids. They absolutely adored it and they ate for free as kids eat free on a Sunday! The food was fabulous and the service is second to none. Lovely experience and made our day. We will be back as a family and also without the kids for date nights! Aimee, George and Marcin - you were amazing - thank you so much for looking after us.

March 2023 - great Sunday lunch, personally would have preferred a little more veg but can’t fault quality or service. Three years ago. Just what Chislehurst/ Sidcup needs. A good bar with great choice of tapes - small plates. Barbecue buttermilk chicken, Marmite flat iron and triple cooled chips with chicken skin salt were perfect. Make sure you leave room for dessert - the fruit desert cake served with slices of orange on top definitely better than the slightly heavier chocolate cake. Good value and will certainly be back.

We have had a great evening! The service was great, the food was excellent and on top we were surprised by a lovely Dj who took us on a trip through a classic range of great house music! Was a good place when it first opened. Since then, it has turned into a pretentious place (Chef responsible for this?) and a huge increase in wine pricing. Will skip it & go elsewhere in Chislehurst.

Overall a disappointing experience here at Bank House. Only half of my food came out and then when I had finished what I had the rest of came (over 15 minutes later). Also the crumble was cold and served with cold, watery custard. Custard was also spilled all over another guests coat, with no offer to get it cleaned. All in all a very expensive meal for the experience we had.

3rd time attending and it only gets better! The food is SO good. The service is equally as good.

Third time I’ve been there recently. The food is excellent and well priced. The venue is beautifully fitted out. But above all the staff are so polite and attentive. Aimee was wonderful tonight. A real credit to the bank.

Wine and hot chocolate was good, hence not one star. Most of the staff were friendly, so this is not aimed at the team that worked hard to accommodate us. We arrived with two young children at 2 pm on Sunday, when the restaurant was only 1/3 full, looking to have a drink on the way home. We were told that there were no tables available, but that we could sit at the bar. We pushed back (as we had two children) and they told us we could sit on a lounge table. After ordering wine, my older daughter (who can order and pay for food in most crowded London pubs without assistance) went to the bar to ask for hot chocolate. Instead of speaking with her like a human, the bartender came over to us to tell us that "he couldn't have children at the bar". This is despite the staff having previously offered us seats at the bar and allowing dogs to sit with owners at the bar. Later, the same bartender collected my wife's empty glass without asking us if we wanted anything else, but then went to the adjacent table to ask for further orders. We are new to the area, always looking for places with good food, good drinks, and a friendly vibe. Instead of finding that here, we were met with passive aggressiveness and disdain. Disappointing to say the least.

One of the best dining experiences in the south east of London. Exceptional quality of food, excellent service and of course a varied and detailed wine list. Will be coming back again and again no doubt! - Update We've been again but had our wedding dinner here after our service, wanted something low key. And as usual food was excellent ordered in advance, team was attentive as always.

Went out for dinner with a friend. This was by far, THE best restaurant experience I've had this year! It was perfect from the get go. The service, brilliant! The cocktails, amazing! The food, delicious!!! The staff were attentive, friendly and professional. The service quick. The Maître D, added that little special touch, by saying he was putting us at this romantic, table by the window (really set the mood for the rest of the evening:p), which it was! My favourite was the beef fillet with the truffle mash. It was tender!!! The truffle mash, just as good as mine :p. My friend had the venison, and said it was fantastic! Their house gin was delicious. Definitely on my list for a revisit. I cannot rate the Service enough!!! Great job!!!

Bad quality food and presentation (see photo of the £12 "Italian Meats Selection"). Small plates and and Big prices. Loud nightclub style music playing which means you're shouting at each other at the back of restaurant. Hugely overhyped place, don't bother.

Cool restaurant in a vibrant area. Our group had a really lovely evening. The staff had a proper knowledge of the food and were able to suggest menu items we should try. The restaurant has a modern vibe and seemed to be popular with the locals. Overall, good food, reasonably priced wine and great staff.

Have visited the Bank House on several occasions now since opening for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Firstly, this is a place Chislehurst really needed, it has a lovely atmosphere and offers a difference to what is currently in the area. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, properly look after you and remember you when you come back. Food menu varies slightly each day with some dishes staying, some changing. Should point out it is hot and cold tapas so offers a good variety. I have read a review of judging quantity next to cost, the reality is that the QUALITY is very good and fresh ingredients. The dishes are designed for 2 to share and if you judge on quality and taste you are not disappointed! Simple fact is if you want average quality in bulk to stuff yourself go somewhere else, if you want something you will enjoy and and nicely fill you then best place for it. Dish recommendations if on menu: Buttermilk Chicken, Pork Belly skewers, Chips with Chicken Skin salt and Chocolate Brownie Desert. Wine list is excellent with a good variety of options, quality and pricing to match. They do very good coffee to and recommend a flat white. I would recommend this place immediately to couples or adult groups looking for a few good glasses/bottles of wine and cocktails along with tapas options. It is kids friendly but would not recommend a Friday or Saturday night after 7pm with them. Update on 14th September 2022: As good as ever

Went here for the bruch deal and it's so worth the money. We had small plates for the table to share and then 2 hrs of bottomless drinks are £25.00. The good thing is you don't all have to have the same drinks and as soon as you finish one there's another one being made for you. We will definitely being going back here for birthdays and any other celebrations 🥂

An awesome air-conditioned bar and restaurant in the heart of Chislehurst that is properly dog-friendly. Delicious tapas-style dishes and a wide range of drinks and cocktails. Staff were very friendly and the prices were quite reasonable. We'll be back, I'm sure!

We went for a birthday brunch a month ago, the menu doesn't have the best offering for brunch so we decided to go for the pancakes. They were the worst pancakes we have ever had. Firstly the portion was tiny considering the price, then the actual pancakes tasted disgusting. They texture, flavour and size was awful. The two stars are merely for the decor, location and the fact the sliders one person ordered were 'ok'. Really disappointing food, won't be back.

We went here last night and we hadn’t booked so on the off chance we went in and asked if there was a table for the 5 of us. Seeing as it was a Saturday night we wasn’t hopeful but they rearranged the tables to accommodate us. This was our first visit and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were all lovely and there’s a great atmosphere. Such a good night. Looking forward to going back soon.

Professional team good menu and well priced

What a pretentious, cold and uninviting atmosphere. Which was very disappointing. As soon as we sat down there was pressure for us to order and leave. Absolutely nothing wrong with the food served. A friend had been to the sister venue in Sevenoaks and was scathing !!!! I still booked, how remiss of me! No doubt they will continue to serve their privilege on the high street for an inordinate length of time, but as a family we won’t be back.

Looks nice from the outside but we got a very frosty reception on walking in. Asked for a table for a couple of drinks before our booking at another restaurant (made it clear that we would be approx 30 mins) and was turned away from an empty restaurant for bookings only. It's hardly as if the place would fill out in the 30 mins we'd have been there. Won't be going back. You'd think they'd be happy for some extra business after covid.

Fantastic evening for a valentines treat! The staff were very welcoming and very attentive. I had a wonderful gin cocktail which was honey flavoured so tasty. The food is tapas style and full of so much flavour, highly recommend!

I first came across Bank House when we chose it for my mother’s wake, Feb 2020, a month before 1st lockdown. Staff were excellent and couldn’t fault it. My friend booked Sunday lunch last week and it was a different story completely! We were seated upstairs where a child was crying and my friend asked if we could be seated downstairs. We were told that as they had 120 covers for lunch no chance! Every table occupied had a small child there. The child crying was then breast fed by the mother. Our food seemed to be plonked down in front of us and by then we felt very uncomfortable. The music playing was dire and not needed. The cauliflower cheese was a mush of cauliflower so overcooked. Our bill was about £84 and we only had 2 courses and a drink each. We eat out a lot and Ciprianis in Petts wood beats them hands down. I won’t be returning to Bank any time soon. Michele Zinopoulos

So. We went here on its opening debut. The food was absolutely amazing. The steak was big, Juicy and cooked to perfection. A year later we came back. Menu changed. Service was bad- we waited for 20 mins before offered drinks- no longer did we have the amazing steak menu but some other less menu. Didn’t have a good experience. So never went back. We only returned recently as our son said he had a great experience with his friend. So we tried it again. Service had improved but the menu was a let down. We didn’t think the ‘Small plates’ were literal for a main course. Flat iron steak at £13 a pop was so small, the side dishes were bigger, and warmer, felt ripped off to be honest. Steak was a bit chewy. We like medium rare. It was pink but not great . We have been to flat iron in London and have had a full steak with sides for £12! We did voice our opinion and did get a reduced bill. Shame that finally Chislehurst got a decent restaurant, all for a short time, but then resulted into the usual mediocre menu. Call us snobs, but we do like fine dining and we thought Bank House would step up. Sadly not for us. Won’t be retuning. Take this review as you wish. You probably have had a good experience. We didn’t.

Lovely evening, great wine, delicious small plates. LOVED the BBQ chicken with blue cheese sauce and the goats cheese with honey. Perfect place for date night or dinner with friends.

The humus came out with half a cold wrap, straight out of it's package. Very sad. That's what they called "flatbread". They didn't even bother warming it up. The chorizo was drawning in honey. Way too sweet. The beers selection was scarce and uninspired. My lager was flat. We ordered mains too, but we had to stop them as we had already gone trough too much disappointment.

Fantastic food and service. The restaurant is focused on small dishes (tapas esque). I have Marmite flat Iron which I’m fairly confident does not exist in Spain but is absolutely gorgeous. It’s not a budget meal but we’ll worth the cost. Really really good food cooked perfectly we scored everything 10

Bit disappointed to be honest, the menu consisted of a 3 course lunch menu, only received 2 courses, staff were nice but the food average, a steak was presented on a side dish cut into strips, the fish and chips was heavy on batter not a lot of fish, the burger was decent as was the pasta, probably won't revisit..
