Chaplin's Cafe in Bromley

Lady was rude and told me off for sitting down as she gave me a takeaway. Poor customer service and really odd behaviour.

Been here many many times over the last few years - we make a point of visiting each time we are in the area. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. The food is always really good. A café yes, but I would say the quality of food easily competes with restaurants I've eaten at before. Always good value for money. Toilet has always been clean and tidy when I've used it. Great place all round. Highly recommended!

Visiting the area and in need of sustenance I popped in here to a friendly welcome and table service. Despite being busy food was served quickly and was excellent.. great value too. Highly recommended.

Only place that doesn’t allow to swap one item of same value, mushrooms for frankfurter on a breakfast rude attitude from waitress won’t be returning

Nice little cafe. We had 7 lunches in a row last week as working in the area. On some days it tool longer than other for food to arrive, but always good. Some vegetarian fussy eaters options were not available but still managed to feed us well. Very nice decor. Polite and friendly service. Loved their healthy smooties

Love the Mediterranean breakfast! When I was there, there was a long wait for food. It was busy for a cafe out of town centre.

We've been coming here since it opened and it never disappoints. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly. The menu is quite extensive for a traditional caff, so if you don't fancy a fry up you've got plenty other things to choose from. I had the bangers and mash today and it was fantastic. We also like their sausage, egg and bacon baguette when we want a takeaway lunch.

Had a breakfast each. Generous portions, quiet calm atmosphere, reasonably priced, friendly and busy but not over-crowded. Fresh bloomer bread, mushrooms were a highlight. Has black pudding, so thumbs up all round.

Orderd 2x latte and 1x hot chocolate. And 4 slices of toast. Toast were burnt and coffee was also tasting like burnt coffee, overheating burns coffee beans. Also the one staff member behind the counter just about took order due to language barrier, she also didn't know what pastry was.

Food was decent but woman at the counter had an attitude which I'm not pleased about. If I'm spending my hard earn money show some respect.

Absolutely fantastic full English breakfast. Stuffed and very happy, and the people running this cafe are lovely and friendly. Give them a try, you won't regret it.

Unpleasant waitress and the breakfast is way over priced and doesn’t even come with toast as all breakfasts come with toast and a choice of tea or coffee in any other cafe in London food is only ok nothing special about it sausages are horrible again over priced food for very unsatisfactory taste standard food standard cafe so price should be around 6 quid and a very insulting waitress/till lady I think she should get the sack if I’m honest

Very disappointed that they serve no hot drinks for anyone with a cows milk allergy. This meant that to have the drink provided with my breakfast deal I had to go next door and bug my own milk. I asked them if I could have an alternative soft drink and was told NO!! Found this very disappointing 😞 However the food I had was lovely. Good portion size and quality.

Excellent - clean, including toilet! Friendly staff, adapted menu to my dietary needs, nice strong coffee, free parking 09:30 - 16:30 and only a mile out of Bromley - ideal place to hang out if waiting for something in Bromley or just to have a chilled breakfast.

We met with friends at this place for dinner. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very successful. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a fantastic feeling. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. We recommend this place to all.

This place is my preferred one. I eat in many restaurants but here I keep coming back again and again. The team is very helpful and the cooking they cook is so tasty. I would always prefer to have a nice dinner here. I recommend this place with pleasure.

They do fantastic coffee I can a few times a week to support a great local business. I really enjoy the sausage/bacon sandwiches. If you like black pudding go here. My in-laws are Scottish and they love it.

Went with my hubby to get a takeaway lunch. Staff are so friendly and food was delicious. Very accessible too as my hubby is blind.

We enjoy eating out. Yesterday we found this delicious restaurant which friends recommended to us. We spent a lovely experience there with first-rate food and a courteous stuff and an impressive chef. We added this restaurant in our list and we will no doubt visit again very soon. Good choice of options available and very reasonable prices. Must mark down for 1 of my 2 fried eggs having a solid broken yolk. Would prefer baked beans in a ramekin too to keep them from spreading. Grilled tomatoes nicely cooked through - often not the case elsewhere. I’ll definitely return when I need a pitstop in the area and you should too.

Used to visit occasionally. Then I found a hair in the middle of my tuna cheese panini. Gross. Never again !

I often have cooked breakfast here with friends, and have never once had a poor experience. The choice of food is excellent, the quality of food is excellent, the service is good and friendly, and it's good value for money.

here is a variety of choices including the cold beef udon which is my favorite, spicy beef udon, and hot udon as well. As a person who loves noodles, I love the chewy texture of their udon!

Visited Chaplin's Cafe today for breakfast. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent and the price competitive. I would definitely recommend this Cafe.

Visited here today for the first time and enjoyed a nice well cooked vegetarian breakfast. Food arrived quickly and warm. Reasonable prices and a large varied menu on offer. Good polite service.

Came here for a full English and a latte whilst working in the area on a Saturday morning. Was very pleasantly surprised how good it was. The classic breakfast was excellent and well presented. The coffee was also very good. With free parking outside, a customer toilet and WiFi, this place ticked all the boxes for me. Thank you!

Was hoping air conditioning would be working but it wasn't 😞. My daughter had tuna and sweetcorn panini, ok but bit of salad on the side would nice. My other half had a mega breakfast which was ok but bacon bit fatty/gristly .I asked for a cheeseburger with a side salad but got chips instead . They changed it but the salad still had water on it which made the burger bun soggy! Coleslaw wasn't very nice either. Don't think I'll visit again.

When do I have for my Sunday always love to go there with my wife and sometime over couples come with us Sunday I was there was disappointing service was very slow wasn't really busy ordered my breakfast expected the same wonderful breakfast but I get there all the time or a wonderful lunch this time was very disappointing breakfast came out cold to go on to get it asked for poached eggs got hard boiled and cold also had to wait another 10 minutes for my toast only because I went to ask for it what different girl serving she could do with a bit of more smiling and wanted to be there but like she wanted to be working somewhere else anyway her choice all I was interested in is on my breakfast but I enjoy unfortunately not that Sunday will give another try when I am free from work and we shall see what happens hopefully I won't go there on Sunday

Excellent traditional cafe on outskirts of Bromley serving good coffee and good value food. Waitresses friendly and helpful only drawback is they do like to play quite loud music which can be distracting if you want to talk or read. Parking immediately outside on busy road can be difficult but side roads opposite available

Pleasant little daytime cafe. Easy parking for most of the day up to 4pm when parking restrictions start. Check the signs of the lamppost for weekend restrictions. Recently (months) changed management but food just as good.)

Good food, lots of healthy options, good value, nice staff who remember you. Really cheerful. Bright, nice layout, outdoor tables in summer. Pretty much the perfect cafe for family or couples. It's not a rough "caff" but it's not pretentious either. Just a good value, good quality place to eat.

Had breakfast there with a friend, had eggs Florentine which were delicious but the service was a bit slow and it was rather noisy, there were quite a few builders that probably work nearby having breakfast and coffees. Might try it at a different time of the day to see if better experience.

We went for lunch at this cafe and ordered our lunch it was not very busy at the time,several people came in after us and were served before us,all in all we waited nearly 40 minuets for our lunch, we do not mind waiting if the place is very busy but it was not, so if you do visit this cafe be prepared to wait.

Lovely place and lovely staff. Breakfast is quality and the coffee great and all at a reasonable price. Parking after 9:30 is right outside and up to 16:00 and that's free as well. Good for a little business meeting as well.

I'm so glad that this cafe has opened! The food is incredible and service is extremely friendly. The fact they sell proper pie and mash is a massive bonus. Certainly the best cafe in the area by far.

Basic cafe food nothing too write home about .best thing was the coffee. Cafe was clean and waitress was helpful.

Since I visited last time I have had to go on a diet. No worries here they cater for everyone's needs. They served up mushrooms, grilled tomatoes , well done bacon and two poached eggs. Brilliant you pay a little more but you get better coffee than Costa or Starbucks and proper food. Park outside after 09:30 up to 4 pm and you will be ok. Nice weather here sit outside.

This place has got to be the best cafe I have been to. It us a cafe with a taste of a restaurant and smiling faces cannot wait for you to be seated fed and have an enjoyable experience. From a normal poached egg to eggs Benedict is doesn't matter it all gets served quickly and piping hot. Well worth a visit and park in the road opposite and walk back.

This place has got to be the best cafe I have ever been to anywhere. The food the fantastic service the decor and atmosphere, everything about the place is spot on. Luckily we only live a few roads away, but we have heard people travelling 40mins to visit Chaplins. It's that good. Now when ever we fancy a visit to Chaplins (which I must admit is getting more and more frequent) our call to brecco is "who fancies a cheeky Chaplins " lol. This place is wicked!!! Go see for yourselves.
