Lovely bit of food, with nice staff

Great cafe, food prepared very quickly, staff are very nice, no mistakes with my order, they all speak very understandable English, will certainly return for more food.

Great little cafe had the Crescent Omelette came with perfectly cooked chips and a chopped salad with a very tasty dressing. The Omelette was one of the best I've had in a long time. Staff are friendly and the owner made a point asking did I enjoy it. Excellent definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

First time here , very friendly waitress, excellent food good service, BUT noise from kitchen area SO noisy! Plates being stacked and general noise , at times my friends and I had difficulty hearing each other, such a shame it spoilt our visit 🥴

Not very good as I were barred due to certain customer disagrees with me . I had tea outside reading daily paper not getting involved with anyone , because yhis customer went and see management and said " all time I'm at tge premises they won't attend cafe . I never ever been treated as terrible as this before and I'm 60 + years old ! I wouldn't mind if I argued but I'm friendly nature person who has serious health issues .

Went as it is rated well on google. £9.80 for fully monty and my mrs had an omelette. You know when you order a breakfast, it comes and you think ‘wow’? Well this is not the case with this breakfast. A sea of beans with some isolated sausages on an egg and chip island. Taste wise, nothing to write home about. The omelette was swimming in grease and really not appetising at all, although it did not look great it tasted good and the fillings were plentiful. Staff though were really friendly.

Visited today as working in the area. Quick and friendly service, food was tasty. Had all day breakfast and jacket potato, tried their banana boat. Nice atmosphere and yes, like others say, cash only. Visited again and everything was great again. Thank you Crescent cafe

The food is excellent and we come here every week , but there has been 3 occasions now that they have brought me the wrong breakfast ( it’s not worth waiting ages to have a different one cooked ) .. so for the moment I’m going to go elsewhere …

Very wide range of food at a reasonable price, quickly served by the delightful Nicole the waitress.

Food is regular. Service is good and fast. However it is cash only, living in 2023 this is unacceptable. You have to declare and pay your taxes mate, as we all do!!

Super friendly staff so helpful and the service is great anything you want need you don’t even have to ask as they are already on it! Gave us a drink on the house for the birthday girl. Really lovely food and came out super fast. Overall great experience. Thank you!!

Went for breakfast this morning, order taken not complicated egg bacon sausage beans fried slice and 2 slices of bread, 15 mins went , then 30 mins 40 mins later got bread with no butter? And as for breakfast egg Rock hard, fried bread ? Sausage not nice, left it all won't be going back there

Took too long and still not allowed inside.

Just finished a marathon and needed to refuel. Food was excellent and the staff were friendly as per usual.

Nice breakfast but found out at the end they only take cash. No signs or indications of this prior to trying to pay. A shame as in this day and age people don’t carry cash, and it’s very cheap to get a card reader. We were sitting at the end saying how nice it was and how we’ll have to come back. But given the above we won’t be coming again.

Good honest greasy spoon cafe. Big portions. Well priced. Coffee is fresh ground rather than instant. Nice friendly staff. My only gripe is the tiny toilet out the back could do with a bit of TLC

Fresh, slick refurb and new menu for this local cafe with friendly staff and excellent service. Always great for breakfasts but the addition of paninis, filled jacket potatoes and other light bites gives a versatile choice. Kid friendly with home made milkshakes that will keep the little ones quiet. Recommended.

I went here for an all day breakfast with my partner, I created my own breakfast and we also chose from the set breakfast options. I really enjoyed my breakfast and would visit again. The place was clean and airy, very important in the current covid situation. They also had hand sanitizer outside for you to use before entering and when exiting. It is cash only, but most of the cafes are in the local area so this isn't out of the ordinary. The staff were very polite 🙂

I cant speak for the food as I didn't eat it. The reason being, I ordered a baguette but received a hot dog bun. Refund and run.

Popped in with my brother for a bit of lunch. Have to be honest and say its seriously outdated and needs a refurb. However staff really nice and food was excellent.

The best working man's cafe locally. Open nice and early with a straitforward comprehensive menu. No corners cut on food with proper beans and no dodgy plastic sausages. Staff are friendly and service is quick. The cafe does need a bit of money spent on it currently: the seats are tatty and the knives are blunt. Definitely a five star cafe when these are renewed.

Popped in here today for breakfast/lunch. All the staff seemed very friendly and a good choice of food at a reasonable price. Nice cafe, will use it again when next working in this area.

A cafe that looks as though it has always been here. Could maybe do with a make over, but lovely staff and really good breakfast and value for money!

Staff ok. The place needs a refurbishment looks dated and tatty. I tried chips and gravy and I wish I hadn't. The gravy was like coloured water with no taste as it was too watered down. The little one had a tuna and mayonnaise sandwich she said the sandwich had way too much mayonnaise on it.

fabulous caff, choose the liver breakfast with an extra egg and kidneys for a real treat. authentic, cooked with love and great ingredient s from the fresh crusty doorstep slices to the heinz beans. sadly under threat from soulless johnny come lately but why would anyone with any taste or appreciation of food be swayed by flash faux leather banquettes. Green St Green you risk losing a great food establishment

I had a BLT doorstep. Fresh bread warm bacon an amazing sandwich. Been a few times and have never been disappointed.

All I can say is that I try to leave my plate clean. But the portions are grand for the money and just so yummy! Always a lovely big brekkie. They offer loads of options for brekkie, also take away, which was great, specially when I was pregnant and got the hubby to pop down for a every thing a sandwich brekkie.... Hhhmmmm Still have yet to go in for lunch! Their pies look great. Totally recommend. Staff are fab

The breakfast is very good and reasonably priced. The lunches are great old school classics steak and kidney pudding, shepherds pie etc.

We come here fairly often and have always enjoyed the food. Proper cafe food cooked as it should be as well as lunch options in case you don't want a fry up.

The Crescent Cafe is a family run business who are extremely friendly and provide decent cafe food and service with a smile, I have used many times mainly for breakfast but do have lunch there occasionally. Would definitely recommend.

Only found this place by chance Sunday morning. The bacon and sausage sandwiches were really good with our option of crusty bread. Tea was pg tips and the staff were cheerful and friendly. Prices were pretty good too. The furniture was a little tired and the decor wasn't perfect , but don't let that put you off. Will be stopping for a hearty breakfast at the first opportunity.

I love this place... nothing more to saywell there is...Great food Great cuppa Yummy Yumy :-)Always vising this place when it is a much needed recovery food source :-)When we bought our house, local to the cafe, we where in here every morning to refule before working on it. Recommend!
