I have used it for work meetings as it's calm enough to have a conversation. There is a full selection of tea and coffee with friendly baristas and they have cakes and sandwiches too. Not too pricey! 1 Daniel Spalding Local Guide·14 reviews·1 photo 5 years ago A great local coffee shop. Not much in the way of food except for a few coffee shop type snacks and what look like some decent sandwiches, but the coffee tastes great made by experts. It can get busy at times and it is small, but usually you're able to get a seat. Phoebe Wynn-Jones 16 reviews 4 years ago Don’t be fooled by the hipster set up! These guys are AWFUL. Received the worst service of my life from the manager. Refused to make drink to …More 4 Hugh Fowler 22 reviews·1 photo 3 days ago NEW I went out for a walk with my wife today and while she popped into Brooks went to get a flat white from Cable. Although not an extreme regular I have been using Cable maybe once a month for about 7 years as I live nearby. Today when I went in the shop was empty, there were two guys behind the cash register, one very tall, about 6'5"and one shorter, unshaven with a baseball cap. They continue their conversation while I stand waiting to place my order. After about maybe 30 seconds the tall guy acknowledged me and took my order for a flat white. The other guy went and started stacking kilo bags of coffee on the shelf behind the coffee machine. I stood there for a little while thinking maybe the guy in the baseball cap didn't make coffees. Another customer came in and the tall guy took her order. The baseball cap was still very slowly stacking the shelf. Perhaps two or three minutes had passed by now, no one had started to make my coffee. I decided to sit down and wait. The tall guy tells baseball cap that he needs two coffees and baseball cap at last starts to make them. I have now been in the shop at least 5-6 minutes. I hear the brewing process going on and baseball cap is heating the milk. At this point they continue their conversation and baseball cap is standing with the milk jug in his hand. After a few more seconds of waiting I lose patience, get up, go to the counter and ask if they are going to make my coffee or continue their conversation. Baseball cap says that if I don't have time to wait for a good coffee to be made it is not his problem, (his actual words). I take the coffee, and say that I have been coming to Cable for a number of years and I will never be back. Baseball cap says "Ciao". I leave, boiling with rage. That Ciao eh! The coffee was good though. My wife can't understand what took me so long.

Ox & Gate is a great spot to watch any sports available on the television. The seat where I sat looked like it's seen better days. I sampled the margherita pizza and it's fair to say absolutely nothing to write home about.

Taste cafe in Kensal Rise is a gem of a place to eat and enjoy chilling. I had the delicious halloumi and roasted veg ciabatta toasted sandwich and a double macchiato. The sandwich was delicious and the coffee strong as I like it. The decor is a kind of distressed , antique furniture look which I also liked as they had not bought the furniture and chairs new, but had probably sourced from local antique shops. It has a really nice, chilled vibe and the service was excellent. Highly recommended and will definitely go back as I live locally.

“The customer is ALWAYS right”. Have you never heard of this saying considering you operate a coffee shop?! We rocked up for a quick drink prior to a gig in Wembley Stadium on June 29. I asked my husband to hold our chosen table while I nipped to the loo. Immediately I was accosted by the extremely rude and aggressive security guy working the door on June 29 (tall, white, British, unpleasant looking) who told me I couldn’t use the loos until I bought a drink. How dare he assume I wasn’t going to buy a drink?! Would you rather have your customers pee while purchasing a drink?! I explained that my husband was holding the table while I used to loos. He aggressively insisted I should buy a drink prior to sitting down or using the facilities. Is this how your cafe chooses to treat PAYING customers?! I understand you’re right by a big stadium so have a lot of passing traffic but if you’re going to suspiciously assume every patron is solely there to use your dirty toilets and not buy anything, you should NOT be operating next to Wembley stadium as this attitude will lose you genuine customers who you should be trying very hard to hold on to in these economic times! You should be grateful we bought a drink (because we were parched and hot!) despite your rude door security! I hope you go out of business! To slightly prolong your longevity in a market that’s saturated with coffee shops (that serve better coffee!), I suggest you teach your door security guys some basic manners. And most importantly fire that rude guy on a power trip who was “manning” the doors on June 29. I will be making a formal complaint against him to your head office.

I popped in after having a really bad day and Lucas at Dark Habit just change things around for me. I came in not being able to pay by card as I had lost my phone earlier in the day. I asked if I could pay by cash and the very friendly barista Lucas politely answered that unfortunately they were unable to take any other form of payment other than card. When he saw I was about to leave he offered to make me a coffee for free. I had some spare coins but he insisted that I just have it on the house. It's great to see that there are still businesses and people that care about people more than money. The coffee I got was one of the best I've ever had in London, the place is very clean, tidy and welcoming. The staff is brilliant, welcoming and very friendly and the atmosphere is great. Nice place to go if you're looking for the best coffee around!

I love this place! Smoothie was delicious, cold brew coffee absolutely delicious too. A cool calm spot to sit on a hot day, staff set a great chilled atmosphere and are simultaneously relaxed and efficient. Great at what they do and knowledgeable about the different coffee beans they sell, really loved everything about my visit.

Racially profiled by an unidentified and menacing “store detective”. I walked into the store and saw their “store bouncer” to the right dressed in tacky sweatshirt and white trainers. Upon seeing me enter the store, this individual, who had no identification, proceeded to stalk me through the store every two minutes and didn’t stop until I sought assistance from a member of staff with an inquiry on an item I was looking for. My experience was thoroughly uncomfortable and left me victimized, ruining what was a wonderful evening. I would recommend that if you’re a person of color, Amazon is probably a safer and more welcoming platform to conduct your shopping without being made to feel like a criminal due to no fault other than the color of your skin.

Reducido en calidad desde que Tricycle Theatre fue rebautizado como The Kiln. Tal vez un regreso al nombre verdadero también mejoraría la calidad de la comida.

Booked the famous car table for my daughters 8th birthday. From the moment we arrived the staff was very kind and attentive. The interior is lovely and the kids loved every moment of it. Food was delicious can not fault and the soft swirl ice cream is amazing! They even brought out a candle for my daughters ice cream and played happy birthday for her which was a appreciated unexpected surprise. Thank you ever so much for making her birthday meal special 💗 we will definitely be regular customers even though we have to travel far it's well worth it.

The servers are very impatient, except for one woman, perhaps of Polish origin. He is very nice, but everyone else is a condescending phlegm. The drinks ordered are very tasteless, battered and not enough compared to the size ordered. We've been coming here for years, but this was probably the last time.

The staff were so uninviting and seemed like they hated their job, had to ask 5 times where to pay after having a look at what I want and the guy completely ignored me and left it for his colleague who also seemed very unbothered and monotone when I finally did get served. As for the doughnuts, It was my first time trying them. They look amazing but tasted so underwhelming, chocolate and salted caramel had a slightly burnt taste and the “salted caramel” was definitely not salted caramel, just tasted like burnt caramel. The vanilla was just plain and bland no real flavour so I was really hoping the blueberry cheesecake one would be good but it was also a disappointment. You get slight hints of blueberry then it’s just tastes like whipped cream. The only good thing about the doughnuts were the amount they were filled inside but it’s a shame they don’t taste as good as they look
