i had a great time when we hired a room for only ÂŁ50, for my mums 60th. the staff were lovely and welcoming and couldnât have been more attentive. the hot drinks were so refreshing and the wide variety of cakes made it hard to decide between something so yummy to something even yummier! thank you for the great experience and we will be back soon !

They have the BEST paninis in St Albans! They also do a delicious vegan panini option. My sons say they have amazing milkshakes and my husband adores their sausage and bacon baps. Set in a fabulous park for the kids (also very dog-friendly) - suitable for all the family. Go visit!

29/9/2023 Absolutely brilliant food, selection, freshness and the staff are wonderful . We have been before and this is one of the best places to eat healthy and tasty in St Albans. Their recent introduction of schnitzels is a great idea; one of the best I have ever hadâŠ.fresh, tasty and crispy.

We found this coffee shop thanks to the sign in the alley way . We came in through the side gate to a lovely garden space. Then headed inside where there are a couple of tables tucked away. We ordered 4 drinks and sweet and savory baked goods from what was available on display. The savoury scone was delicious and the peanut butter cookie cup was amazing. Great for a catch up over coffee.

This lovely reading room cafe was host to a Burns Night Poetry event which was my first time in this quaint little space. It was so inviting. Anna was there to greet customers and make them feel like being welcomed into a friend's home for coffee. There were all the hot drinks on offer and flavoured brownies too. The poetry readings were beautiful in this small space; everyone felt welcomed and comfortable reading and sharing their works for an hour together here. I will definitely return to a future event or just pop in while I'm in St. Albans. It's a hidden gem in the heart of town; great for working, writing, reading, playing a game of chess or catching up with friends over a hot cup of tea. Definitely not to be missed!

Lovely staff, speciality coffee, and an array of treats (of which some are gluten free, vegan, or vegetarian) make this a welcome café in St Albans! There isn't much indoor seating, but a patio makes for a great place for a catchup with friends, family, or loved ones (including yourself). My recommendation? If it's a hot day, try their cold brew and flapjacks. They're fantastic, and you'll thank me later.

Very good meal. Really enjoyable and food served hot. Super staffâŠ.. Shame about two female customers , aged around 70. Very loud - unbelievably - and one took a video call from her daughter and grandson, who were on holiday. She then had a VERY loud conversation in which the whole restaurant could hear. Do these people not realise we really donât care about their lives or are interested in them . We donât force them to listen to our conversations. Very rude and no self awareness.

As my Mum, Stepdad and little brother are visiting from up north this weekend we decided to pop to the Red Cow yesterday after they arrived at my house.I honestly wish we hadnât bothered. We had three children in total with us. One of which is autistic and the other deaf so both can at times be loud but they werenât overly noisy at all yesterday. Some customers were glaring at us anytime the children spoke and another customer kept tutting anytime a dog barked or our children made a noise. Customers were sprawled out across the bar without moving aside to let my partner order. One staff member with black hair came over to our table snatched the cutlery off and remarked âthis table is reserved hence why the cutlery is outâ. There was no reserved sign and a lot of pubs/restaurants have cutlery laid out on tables anyway. We just sat there because the children gravitated to it and didnât think that deeply into it. My son was getting fed up and we werenât happy with the atmosphere so we packed up to leave. My son who is 2 was crying in his buggy on the way out of the door. The same staff member who snatched the cutlery off our table was standing by the door, my Mum said thank you to her and the staff member rolled her eyes at my son who was crying. I passed her at the door after my mum and I too said thank you, only to be ignored by her. Iâm sorry but is this a pub or a library? Weâre local and although we donât visit the pub that often, when we have been there in the past the team have been amazing. Particularly the manager Zoe, who I believe is currently on leave-AND IT SHOWS!! Zoe is amazing with kids and has always been really helpful and kind to our children, also to my little brother when he is down to visit. What a genius way to make people feel so uncomfortable and awkward that they want to leave and not spend more money. Itâs an actual joke. Get some manners!
