Love this little place. The service is always so kind and friendly. The mushroom soup is genuinely the best soup I've ever had!

Damien and the team provide a very warm welcome and offer a good variety of breakfast, teas and coffees at reasonable prices. Situated just off the main road in Harpenden this little gem is well worth a visit. I can highly recommend the Cumberland sausage sandwich and my colleague very much enjoyed the Veggie Breakfast.

Lovely afternoon out during the lights turn on each year for the past 4 years. Great coffee and great mulled wine. Staff are alway friendly .

The most friendliest cafe in town. Food is fresh (had a sausage baguette) and coffee and hot chocolate were great. Had the mulled wine too, best mulled wine I’ve tasted! Thanks for great service/food Damien.

Harpenden has no shortage of ahem coffee shops. But coffee here is head and shoulders above the rest. This haven tucked just off the High Street is where I go, particularly if I’ve been travelling; to rest my gyros and remind me what good coffee tastes like. Always a warm welcome from Damien and his crew. Highly recommend this place!

This cafe is perfect for a meal or just a coffee and a snack. I had Egg Mayo and Smoked Salmon on a warm baguette to order. It was delicious! Highly recommended.

On our regular visits to Harpenden we always head to this hidden gem, always a lovely welcome, lovely freshly prepared food and great coffee, recommended.

Lovely cafe with great food and excellent service - it was even warm enough for us to sit outside. My daughter had the scrambled eggs and salmon which she said was amazing whilst I had a hearty full English which I couldn't fault.

first time we had been there and will definitely be going back when we're in Harpenden. Gets all the basics, food, price, hospitality so right....loved the scrambled eggs (done with a touch of butter and salt) which were marvellous with smoked salmon.

Thompsons Close Cafe just of the high st in Harpenden. Outdoor and indoor seating. service prompt and friendly . Hot drinks fine, and the cheese toasties and tuna sandwich were very good indeed both with a nice side salad. Would def return.

We were in HarPenden for a sports event and went for breakfast en route. Popped in this fantastic cafe and had a latte and bacon baguette. Both were delicious and service friendly and efficient. Top marks for this independent trader. Definitely visit again.
