Absolutely love this place, although on specifically the 14th December, me and my friends went to go into this place and the security/bouncer spat at us after his boss overruled and told him to let us in. Idk, if we were being unreasonable then feel free to not let us in. But spitting at us is out of the question, I get people to go there often but if that's going to be the case then I will not be going there any longer, I'd rather go to the white swan.

Girls who walk lunch gathering - Tudors restaurant was recommended and booked on as a Groupon Steak and Prosecco deal. Not being a steak eater, this was swapped out for Fish and chips and was no problem for our accommodating waiting staff. Starter (Not part of the deal) was Shrimps with garlic butter and bread. Whilst this was quite enjoyable - the Grease from the garlic butter was excessive and not conducive for a pre-diabetic diet. The mains - Fish and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce. Was plentiful and chips nice and fluffy. The fish was not In my opinion fresh and the batter was over done. The mushy peas was dry and bland and I did not eat it or the Tartare sauce. Dessert (Not part of the deal) was Vanilla Ice cream and a welcomed treat on such a hot day/weather. All in all I was disappointed with the food and felt it was "Just okay". Will I visit again? The jury is out. Thanks for the friendly service though.

First time here and certainly not the last, food was delicious, big portions,.all our food was hot and all came together, no wait as sometimes with a group of 8. The pub has a lovely friendly feel with attentive smiling staff, which can be quite rare nowadays. Large menu to choose from also Large selection of beers and wine at good prices Great hosts too! will be back.

Cappuccino was awful, far too hot and totally tasteless. I know this is a tea shop but if you can’t make coffee don’t offer it! The panini we ordered was also very poor.....served nuclear hot, completely flat and without any garnish or love.

Pleasant atmosphere and cool vibe but I was disappointed that they don’t cook anything especially eggs. I did question this and made a lighthearted joke about it - the staff literally didn’t give a fly-***ing you know what - comments like “I don’t get paid enough etc etc”. Later a friend pointed out it’s a coffee/wine bar. My advice to staff would be - to politely explain this is a coffee & wine bar and we don’t cook anything - then I would probably have crept back under my rock. I did have avocado with ham on sourdough - which was pleasant - but in my book smashed avo without eggs is a crime. Customer service ambivilent, no sense of humor. About to leave and a new waiter at the kiosk asks me what I want - so as a joke I asked for two poached eggs - he spent ages looking on till before asking other staff - sorry very childish of me. But seriously seems even the staff don’t know what they have - and cafe without a kitchen is ludicrous. For that reason I won’t be returning. Bring back lorry driver cafes and greasy spoons.
