The pie was lovely. Drink and service was very good as well.

You can have twenty cups pf tea but only one hits the mark. During the summer I had Chicken Kiev with a salad and chips on the patio in the sun. It was great. Today I fancied the same. It was was just as amazing. All served hot with a nice pint of Guinness.

What a lovely pub! Very pleasent staff who greeted us warmly and were friendly and polite throughout lunch (they didn't call us "guys" once, which - believe me - is a rarity nowadays. A full water bowl was immediately provided for our dog (without us having to ask) and the Sunday roast lunches were large and extremely tasty. Hard to find faults here but, if I have to, I do rather gripe at the insistence on playing crap music through speakers which were situated vey close to us. If I wanted a Sunday afternoon boogie woogie I would seek out a discotheque, not a pub, but this apart we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

A cosy and friendly pub experience. Will be back soon! Sunday roast is excellent and the bartenders went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

This pub was very quiet for a Sunday. We decided last minute to treat me and my wife for a roast. Matthew served me, and he was very good, but unfortunately, the roasts weren't the best. I did give feedback directly to Matthew

We booked for a family birthday dinner for a table of 8. We were greeted by the manager, who was lovely. Every person had different requirements for every dish except me! ( fussy bunch) the manager took our order and added all requests. The food came out together, all requests correct. The food was excellent and delivered to the table by the manager himself . Was just going to request cutlery, when it was delivered straight to the table with condiments. Manage checked in that all was satisfactory. Absolutely flawless food and service. Thank you to the Manager and team. Will definitely be returning soon.

You can always tell the calibre of a pub by how the level of service is when there is and isn't a problem. And how any problems are resolved without fuss and a genuine care. Great service and friendly staff will be looking for an excuse to go back!

We had sunday lunch the food was lovely, its the best nut roast ive had! The staff were helpful and friendly welcoming my friends dog and providing us with a nice quiet table. Thank you.

Went in on Sunday for a lovely roast, management were super kind and accommodated the whole family. Food was just what you would want from a Sunday roast, came in good time as well. Took photos after and really took care of us would defiantly recommend!

Nice location for a small family gathering - visited the afternoon of 31 August 24. Bar staff generally friendly with the exception of one gentleman (manager or assistant manager) who was quite rude and abrupt to myself and other patrons at the bar. I would avoid visiting again because of this individual, as would other patrons who commented on his less than nice manner.

The Inn has been my pub of choice in Harpenden for years - the food is delicious and the wide selection of drinks is a big plus. Matt, Rich, and the rest of the team are great and always a pleasure to see as well!

Absolutely my favourite place in Harpenden! The food was so delicious. My bartender - Valentina, she provided exceptional service with her positive energy and patience. She answered all my questions and gave excellent recommendations. The food was amazing, but Valentina's outstanding service that truly made my experience. Can't wait to go back again! Simply a great find. Thr food and service were excellent and Matthew was simply the most welcoming and helpful manager. The pub has a nice vibe and the food was excellent and great value.honestly I eat out a lot and this pub was so good we will be back. Lovely pub! An old favourite of mine, I've been visiting for almost a decade now. Decent prices and great that they're a Greene King which allows students to get 20% off through the Student Beans app! I didn't have food on this visit but it's usually good in Greene Kings. All the staff are very lovely but Matthew was particularly notable to the group I was with. Thanks all and I'll be back another time!

We found this awesome dog-friendly pub and had a great time! After a tough day at work, my friend and I needed to chill, and this place was perfect. The summer terrace was super relaxing, and the vibe was really friendly. It was so nice to see so many dogs around, which made the atmosphere even better. The staff was great. Definitely a spot to kick back and enjoy some good drinks!

Visited over the weekend with the family. Sat in the garden overlooking the town. Nice relaxed atmosphere and the team were polite and welcoming. Good selection of beer and nice to see cask well kept. Food was tasty we will visit again!

I had the pleasure of visiting the inn this afternoon. The staff go above and beyond and are really friendly. The food was very tasty and the beer selection is excellent. I highly recommended for anyone looking for a nice drink out in Harpenden!

Came in with a party unannounced, had sharers, normally you expect a standard with pub food, this went above and beyond! Great fresh food and a wonderful atmosphere with friendly staff

Ordered some food to save me from my hangover last weekend at Inn on the Green with a few pals. Unfortunately I had a rather unpleasant experience, as when I ended up getting through a few bites I came aware to my dissatisfaction that the burger I ordered was raw! Real shame as I do like the atmosphere at this pub and the rest of my pals food was all good. Perhaps some compensation and improved food standards and I may well return.

We went in for Father’s Day in the evening, sat down, ordered from the app. Very quick service after a clearly busy day, and had great food and drinks while sitting outside. The staff let us know the football was on, we strolled in, got a good view and the girl on duty went above and beyond and was very friendly. Will definitely be returning!

We had booked lunch at one of the other pub/restaurants in town but cancelled when we arrived as it did not have a car park. As The Inn on the Green did, we stopped here on the off-chance that we’d be able to get a table bank holiday Monday. Luckily they did have availability. We were greeted with a friendly smile, ordered our drinks, and chose our table for lunch. The menu is quite extensive, and varied, with a good selection of specials. We opted for the macaroni cheese with bacon and garlic bread, and the cheese and bacon burger. Our meals were served quickly with more drinks brought to our table. Both dishes were delicious; the burger was huge and cooked perfectly. After we’d eaten, we took our drinks into the garden area, overlooking the green, in the afternoon sunshine. A lovely visit, with excellent, efficient and friendly staff; we will definitely return should we be in the area again.

Amazing roast but no one knows about it ! Normally getting a roast in Harpenden on a Sunday is a nightmare. I was amazed to see the inn on the green so dead with roasts this good. It was very tasty and a good beer and wine selection to go with it !

Came here over the weekend and was immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere.One of the highlights of my experience was the exceptional service. The staff were not only attentive and friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and drink options. The bar has an impressive selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. I particularly enjoyed trying some of the local brews Also, there is a charming summer terrace, the perfect spot to soak up the sunshine and enjoy al fresco dining Highly recommend this place and l'll be back soon!

Nice garden out the front from where one can watch the world go by. A few beers on offer, Beaverton and Estrella among them. Serves food. Greene King.

Honestly the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Duck was perfectly cooked and drizzled in the most flavourful sauce. Staff were really lovely and accommodating. Very happy.

Wonderful and charming! We came for a family meal over the Easter weekend and were left very happy. Food was excellent and speedy, and catered well to our dietary requirements and kids meals. Service was excellent, Katie was our server and took care of us all afternoon. She helped us with recommendations and tasters. 100% recommend and we will be back!

I had a reservation booked for 2 people at 5pm on 17/02/2024 for a late valentines meal due to being poorly on Valentine’s Day. First impressions were great, very lovely looking restaurant with a great vibe. We were seated pretty quickly by a gentleman (possible shift manager) who said once ready to come to the bar to order. We picked out meals and I proceeded to wait at the till to the left. No one was in front of me thou one server was serving a few drinks customers on the next till. So I waited holding a menu in clear view of one other girl who wasn’t serving and another lady who looked as if she had just started her shift. After nearly 10 minutes and still waiting (in this time one of the servers was making two alcohol filled cocktails which I assumed were for customers) this server made eye contact with me multiple times as did the lady who was starting her shift, I was shocked to see the server give one cocktail to another server and they both drank them laughing about how strong they were. She then put her drink down and said to the lady who I assume just started “I’m on cocktails but do you want me to serve this lady (meaning myself) by this time I’d be waiting around 10-12 minutes. To which this lady said oh sorry are you waiting I thought you were just stood there. I was so taken back that I said no thank you I will eat elsewhere. As we were leaving the gentleman who sat us asked if I was ok I said I don’t feel it is acceptable for workers to ignore customers while making personal drinks nor should they be drinking while working and servicing customers and left. I am absolutely appalled and will contact head office for to filed a complaint as this was unacceptable.

Great pub near the park in Harpenden. Staff are friendly and service was good. I had the steak ciabatta which was very tasty. Reasonably priced and lots of choice on the menu. Kids menu available too. On street parking available nearby and several carparks in the town a short distance away.

A low grade for very bed hygienic standards in rest rooms. Water does not flush! No hot water to wash hands and broken tap. I have tried Sunday roast, but I didn't like the meat.

Awful food and experience! We visited for a family gathering on Sunday 27 August at tea-time (four adults and three kids). The two adult roast beef meals were horrible – the beef was just fat and the meat chewy. The kids roast chicken was extremely dry and hard – it looked reheated. And worst of all, was my elderly mother-in-law's prawn and chorizo on sour dough bread. Honestly, the chorizo looked as though it had been cooked three days ago. The pieces were like little STONES – in fact, she unknowingly took a bite of one and BROKE HER FRONT TOOTH because it was so rock-hard. We complained at the time and all they did was take off the money for this starter; ridiculous compensation for the huge dental fees she now faces. What a joke. Won't be coming back here. No wonder it was pretty empty and there was hardly anybody eating here.

Got told that everyone that was going to be eating there had to be Id`d even for tap water... ??? Never heard of this before, establishments like that have to legally provide free tap water to everyone.. insane

Very very disappointed. Booked out online, phoned to book.... Turned up, no-one there. Five chips (literally counted) alongside a steak. Won't be back unfortunately.
