We were looking for the old bus station cafe which is well signposted but closed down! In a corner of the same building we found Carlita Cafe bar serving Portuguese food and great cakes and tea/coffee/wine etc. Amazingly cheap beverages (coffee £1.15) but really good quality and we bought extra cakes to take away. has a little mini shop as well. Definitely worth finding.

The food at Purfleet is superb. We had a wonderful Christmas menu of turkey, pork or salmon followed by some seriously sweet dessert treats, so huge props to the chef. Delicious! The atmosphere could've been a little more festive, however we were the after work crowd so am sure it livened up later on.

Just popped in for a coffee and decided to try thier main breakfast meal. A nice warm welcome at the door and seated very quickly. The menu was explained, including items not available. Pleasant vibe to this busy cafe. Plenty of room. My order came in good time. Good value for money.

We went Boxing Day for a walk around the shops and then to silver spoon for something to eat, I had a big breakfast and Hubbie had a builders breakfast, OMG they were lovely, you get loads and it’s very hot and excellent quality products, we love it here. Would always recommend you go to here if you want a good priced and excellent value and quality food. It’s always spotless and everyone is very welcoming, we love it!

A modern clothing shop for both gents and ladies with the personal touch. Very good staff who are always very helpful every time.

The atmosphere was lively and fun, very busy but we were welcomed by locals and staff alike. Our daughter (nearly 9) was abducted by the landlady’s daughter for a couple of hours and had a lovely time. The food was good but beware, the opening hours and food service times are limited so best to check before going! I loved the fact that it was a pub, not one of these modern bars/restaurants, unfortunately the only ale on tap was Greene King but I did enjoy the Newcastle Brown.

Been in before a couple months back and had nice tea and scone - no issues. However yesterdays Afternoon Tea choice was big let down - way too little sandwiches - way too much cake - way overpriced

Have used many times, service always excellent. 0n the 28th February we had family lunch we found the menu somewhat limit with one main course unavailable. One starter squid was beautiful presented and delicious. Of the four main courses the plaice was again beautiful presented and cooked to perfection and likewise the American Burger. The fish and chips over battered arrived looking like it had been dumped on a plate on top of chunky chips without any care. My own chicken arrived on a plate swapped in gravy and lacked any presentation. Of the three desserts the apple pie was presented to perfection and extremely enjoyable and so was the white chocolate cheese cake. The chocolate brownie was dry and lacked presentation. While we made the occasion enjoyable today dissatisfied with the quality of some menu items.
