I've been here numeous times. The food is locally sourced, tasty as heck and half the price of McCostaStarBuck's an the rest. Staff very friendly and helpful, one of the best little cafe's in King's Lynn. Top Notch

Lovely little gem, stopped here for breakfast whilst on a few days away. Lovely owner, lovely food. Nice customers, Steve a regular there was lovely to chat too, both him and the owner told us all about the place and where to visit. Couldn't fault a thing, the cafe was so quirky loved it.

We stayed at the Travelodge while on a weekend visit to the area and neither the hotel or the pub next door do breakfast. No problem. We found the Daily Grind, just a five minute walk from the hotel and had a piping hot excellent cooked breakfast on two days of our stay - unfortunately it's closed on Sundays! The Owner is very friendly and welcoming as were the local regulars there at the same time as us and the quirky interior is great. It is small though, just 6 or 7 tables.

We stopped at this cafe for breakfast. I had the sausage, bacon and egg in a muffin. It was freshly cooked and really tasty. The proprietor was really lovely and we were able to park right outside.

Mandy the owner is my friend but that’s not the reason I’m giving this place a good review. It’s good because the food is good, alright you can’t get chips or anything fried BUT everything else is just the job, I had a sausage and scrambled egg baguette and my friend had scrambled egg on toast and it was all served with a smile and our usual bit of banter, oh and the beverages of course. It’s great value too with a good varied menu and some very tempting cakes. So come on folks there’s a warm welcome waiting at The Daily Grind!

Like other people we were staying at the Travelodge and needed an early breakfast nearby. An excellent find. Great food, really well cooked and at a reasonable price. The cafe is furnished in a vintage style and was comfortable and welcoming. Would recommend without reservation

We spotted this Cafe on our outbound journey to King's Lynn parkrun and naturally visited upon our return. A fantastic welcome and a really relaxed environment (if you're in a hurry this establishment probably isn't for you). A small but very well appointed venue with local artifacts of local times passed by and lookout for the key dresser. Recycled vinyl LP's act as placemat to give and idea of the 'feel'. We stayed for a traditional breakfast (including a coffee/tea) which was perfectly cooked, served fresh, certainly filled a 'hole' and piping hot. Visiting here won't blow your budget we were bolled over how competively priced items were. Although slightly out of town near the South Gate this Cafe should be on the list of places to check out.

The Daily Grind has everything you could want from amazing cakes, sausage rolls, sandwiches, salads, soups and comfort food dinners. The coffee is amazing too! Everything is homemade and delicious. The owner is so friendly and really accommodating especially with children, my boys rarely pick off the menu! This place is a little gem and if you've not visited you really should give it a try!

Stopped here on the way into town. The nearby Travelodge has no restaurant and the Hungry Horse doesn't open till ten. Made to feel very welcome. Choices are made from the boards on the wall not a set menu card. Very fair prices and nothing was too much trouble. Will call in again when visiting this area.

We recently stayed at the nearby Travelodge for 5 nights and had Breakfast here just about every morning because it was so good. It's around a 5 minute walk from Travelodge & on the way into Town. Food was always excellent, freshly prepared and really good value for money. The Cafe is maintained to the highest standards and the lady owner obviously takes great pride in her establishment - which again makes it a really good place to visit. It's one of those lovely little neighbourhood places where you're made to feel really wellcome from the moment you step through the door. We also found the lady owner invaluable as a source of tourist information - dispensing facts & figures about Kings Lynn with absloute ease. We would'nt hesitate to visit again & will certainly do so next time we're in Kings Lynn. Absolutely brilliant - all cafes should be like this.. the world would be a much better place for it. !!

I've been here a number of times now so I am writing from experience. Nice coffee and homemade food. Friendly and welcoming. It's a happy experience and the owner is a friendly sort so you feel right at home. There are newspapers to read too. The big bonus is that I can take my small dog in with me and I swear that she pulls me in that direction as she enjoys it too.

I was made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. "If I have it in the kitchen, there's no problem" said the lady. I chose a combination of things...some from the menu and some not on the menu. Lovely food served with a smile.

If you want good food, a relaxing place to eat where you can have a chat with your friends or Mandy the friendly owner then look no further than The Daily Grind. The smell of the coffee drew me in and the pictures of the old town made for some interesting conversation.

I only thought neighbourhood coffee shops like this existed on the telly! East Enders, Corrie etc. Why would anyone who lives just round the corner go out for coffee when they could have one at home? - Answer because this place is not only a great coffee shop with terrific homemade food on offer, it has quickly become a local community hub! Nothing is too much trouble for Mandy & I can thoroughly recommend the food & I have tried most of what is on offer now, even the salad! that should impress anyone that knows me!!!:)

Today I visited The Daily Grind, King's Lynn for Coffee and Sandwiches. On entry I was greeted by the aroma of freshly ground coffee which brought immediate nasal pleasures. The welcome from the proprietor was especially pleasant and with little or no persuasion I had freshly made beef sandwiches to go with my aromatic coffee which was bursting with flavour. The Daily Grind has decor which would not be out of place in an English country village and a very pleasant, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. I will certainly use it now on a more frequent basis.

Desperate for a bacon roll & Kings Lynn seems to be devoid of roadside bacteria bars so dropped into this little place. The decor is very Cath Kidston come Bake Off & has a couple of tables for seating. The menu is restricted to basic sandwiches & jacket potatoes, with no cooking apparently being done on site. As a result the bacon sandwich I ordered used pre cooked bacon which was, "pinged", microwaved to temperature. There is a bakery next door which I assume provides the bread as this seemed to be of a good quality & an uncommon shape. Despite the irregular heating method the bacon sandwich was actually quite good. However, the coffee was absolutely terrible! A weak & flavourless extraction which was a result of either insufficient temperature or pressure built up within the machine & should have been obvious by the lack of creme on the top of the single shot measured out. I was going to comment at the time that the measure looked a little small but due to the close proximity of all those in the building my British sensibilities & lack of spare time conspired against me & I kept quiet, & paid £1.70 for something I tipped away a mile down the road.

Came here for a light lunch with family. Very nice and clean atmosphere inside with pleasant decor. I, with an egg allergy often feel unwelcome in restaurants, and find it difficult to relax and enjoy meals out, but here, no request was too much trouble. The staff were kind and patient, with the chef even coming out of the kitchen to reassure me, and check on details of all of our meals. I've never felt so welcome and at ease in a café and the extra efforts of the owners of The Spontaneous Cuppa really made a difference. I ordered a baked potato, with cheese and chives: the side salad was delicious, as was the potato, and the rest of my family thoroughly enjoyed their meals too. Feeling included in meals like this is important, especially for those of us who have allergies and dietary requirements. I can thoroughly recommend The Spontaneous Cuppa to anyone looking for a tasty lunch, especially to those with extra dietary requirements.

Amazing atmosphere! We went for a hen do and the staff were so kind and attentive. They went out of their way for some dietary requirements and hats off to the chef for their lovely homemade scones. Amanda and the staff were lovely and had time to chat with us about our evening. Would visit again if in the area.

Named after the WW2 Wellington bomber with details of an NZ squadron with local wartime operations. Great pub, good atmosphere. If the small car park at back is full, just park in large nearby playground car park and walk back.
