What a great find this place is and lovely staff Coffee and cake awesome just what we needed on a miserable damp day The store has a good collection of cakes , sandwiches

Very friendly, menus are varied and beautifully balanced…it will take a while but we will work our way through everything on both the Brunch and Lunch menus! The BLT’s in the shop were absolutely gorgeous and the chocolate cake…OMG. It took me back to my Granny’s house on a Sunday afternoon: she made the best chocolate cake and this was on par. Great breakfast/brunch with good friends. 2 x kedgeree, 1 x full english and pancakes with bacon. Steaming hot coffee’s. What’s not to like, really good food. Top marks guys. We love this place.

We stumbled across this amazing place while we were staying off the grid locally and had to return to civilisation to make an emergency call. The staff / owners were so helpful and accommodating that the cake was amazing, as was the quality of the coffee. My labourers loved the complementary sausages. Thank you once again for being so helpful we will 100% be returning.

This is my second review for this store. I had a great experience the first time and honestly it gets better every single time. The owner is a lovely man. Kind, genuine person. His employees are the best too. Now a regular to this establishment even I was surprised at how gracious and kind the chief was when my child nipped back to give silly menu idea's. It is without a doubt a cafe worth going out of your way to visit. The food is truly delicious and the service by all staff is second to none. Beautiful setting. My dog got a bowl full of hot sausages too. Can not recommend this place enough. Just looked through others reviews. All in agreement a great place to visit. But I must respond to the lady stating that mark and she knew him by name is an angry man!! And not disability friendly!!!! That's crazy talk. Every word of it. Completely false review. You should be ashamed of yourself.

The food and service is how all places should be. We have been a few times now on our trips from London. It’s as far from the corporate offerings that seem to letter the country as you can get. The owner is such a nice chap and loves his business. Just look at all the great reviews. We are driving up on Friday to the area and will be calling in for breakfast before we go on to our destination.

Such a gem. Host is charming as is the rest of the team. Delicious kedgeree and a huge fluffy stacks of pancakes with well-cooked bacon. And a very generous helping of sausages for the dogs. Great place off the coastal track for a break! We’ve been before and it never disappoints.

The owner of this cafe is a very angry, pathetic individual, who appears to think he is above others. He speaks to customers in a derogatory manner including my husband who is clearly disabled. His attitude actually ended up ruining our day. Avoid at all costs. Far better places available in the nearby vicinity.

Visited the Bircham Stores Café for breakfast . We were greeted at the door by a friendly gent who said we could sit where we wanted, so we chose the table by the window, he offered us fruit juices or water on the table to drink before we’d sat down! We asked for an apple and an orange juice and they were quickly brought to our table. The menu was presented with the addition of a special of caramelised figs. The café inside was bright and airy with a wonderful little courtyard outside, which would have been lovely had the weather been better. There is also an outside bar tucked away in the adjoining garage which is a nice touch. We didn’t take long to decide what we were having, and a young lady came over to take our order. We had the avocado on toast with chilli jam, with the addition of grilled Halloumi, and the Kedgeree. We had a little wait for the food, but my word was it worth it. Plentiful and beautifully presented and so tasty. The Kedgeree was nicely spiced with a generous portion of smoked haddock and two perfectly cooked poached eggs. The avocado came on a large piece of toasted Focaccia with perfectly cooked poached eggs, a two generous slices of grilled Halloumi. I had a flat white with mine which was a lovely cup of coffee for the morning.

Will certainly make sure we call in again. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Food was excellent.

A really nice environment with a wide selection of delicious food and we were served by two really lovely, friendly and very helpful young ladies. The sausage rolls were delicious and an excellent cup of coffee. I also took away a fabulous Bakewell tart! A great experience and we’ll definitely be back soon Thank you 😊

I think I can safely say these were the best ciabatta sandwiches I’ve ever had. The BLT and chicken/avocado ones were so good! The coffee was lovely too. The only reason I put 4 stars is because the kitchen seemed to let a little bit of smoke into the seating area, that’s all. Food was amazing and staff are lovely 👍🏻

We turned up at the store midway through a long cycle ride hoping for a quick bite to eat and were not disappointed! Cafe was closed but the store has a selection of pastries and cakes, as well as lots of other food items, all of which seemed excellent quality and the owner Mark was so lovely and friendly. We had a sausage roll and a quiche with some salad, and everything was outstanding. Highly recommend this place!

We love this place, the food is great in the café, when the café isn't open we normally pick something up from the store/deli. The food in both is ace. We use Bircham Stores pretty much every week when out on our bikes or if we want to meet friends. We love it and the staff. Thanks guys.

We popped in to grab a few bits with the family. They have a good selection of cakes, pastries and deli goods and you can also sit in for a coffee too. Everything we had was delicious the owner was really kind to our children and made their day! Thank you for your kindness

Called in to buy some vinegar as my new windscreen was very greasy and in the rain with headlights coming towards us it was very difficult to see. Spoke to the owner who was so helpful giving me some degreaser from the kitchen and paper roll. Very refreshing to get such friendly service way beyond your expectations. The Nar Valley Honey is FAB!

We had heard about this small village stores and cafe and we felt we needed to pop in to see for ourselves and it was a store with a few tables and a lovely man happily singing in his kitchen and a lady serving ! We had a cup of coffee and homemade Victoria sandwich cake so delicious ! I do think as we were new customers to this quaint old store the lady could of been a bit more friendly !

Stopped here for a coffee break whilst travelling to the coast. Impressed with the friendly staff and excellent coffee. Took a still warm homemade sausage roll away with me and ate it later. The roll was very tasty indeed. Well worth a visit

The best Full English breakfast around! Fresh well cooked food and the black pudding was fantastic. My only criticism (well more personal preference than a criticism) would be that there were too many tomatoes - there was a small vine of about 5 cherry tomatoes as well as a couple of halves of full size tomatoes. Having said that the extra tomatoes didn’t detract from the delicious sausages, bacon, mushroom, eggs and the aforementioned delicious black pudding. Will definitely be visiting again to try out more of the menu.

We popped by, just by chance, for a drink and brownie yesterday whilst camping nearby. We got chatting to Mark who shared his delicious brownie recipe with us & gave us a menu for brunch today in case we fancied it. We absolutely did, especially after his description of salted brisket of beef. Returning today, we just felt like it couldn’t get better! Dog friendly, super court yard, cracking island vibe music and wonderful friendly service from the man himself. We will definitely be back! Thank you Becky, Vicki & Jimmy the Pug x

Enjoyed the most wonderful breakfast this morning in glorious sunshine. Everything from the quality of the food and locally sourced produce to the beautiful courtyard surroundings and service was first class! What a find - we will be back!

Very good stop for a bite to eat. Mainly sandwiches seemed to be offered but there was a reasonable range and when they came they were massive. Good combination and ratio of Dijon mustard on my pistrami sandwhich. Slightly slow service but i think maybe they were understaffed for a Saturday. Good place to stop with the ability to get provisions for home and some nice local produce

This is not Starbucks. The kitchen is manned by humans serving fresh food. The more structured (menu driven) sit down cafe is not always open but you’ll always get some fabulous choices at the deli counter to eat at the tables in the shop or outside. When we last visited we only wanted a snack anyway. Mark, the owner is not conformist. He was happy to simply plate up one of his enormous sausage rolls for me and a pork pie for hubbie with a side of Branston, at our request! There were lots of sandwich options and our friend (not eating white carbs!) was offered a deconstructed avocado and bacon ciabatta served effectively as a Caesar salad. So much on sale was baked by them or sourced locally. I was able to pick up a bunch of local asparagus too. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Just ask.

Absolutely gorgeous and delicious brunch here. Beautiful location. We had the full English which you could tell was locally sourced and cooked to perfection. We also had the kippers, which is also a must have, the beetroot bread was so fresh, could of eaten loads more. Compliments to the chef. This place is a little gem situated in a typically quaint Norfolk village. Lovely setting with various seating options. It’s a bold statement but the salt beef ciabatta I had was the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten!! Also, excellent service from the girl who took our order. Highly recommended.

Bircham Stores offer a fantastic selection of freshly made sandwiches for lunch, as well as other baked goods. The staff always offer a friendly welcome, and the sandwiches are always a good treat after a long week! I'd recommend to anyone in the area who wants a decent lunch, either to take out or sit in.

Absolutely amazing food. Im not into sandwiches myself but what we have had was heaven. Seeiously I didnt kniw sandwich can be that good! Coffee was top too. There are five of us, one in a wheelchair, two ceoliacs, a vegetarian and two “regular“ people. We rang up this morning to ask if the cafe was open - they replied that they had some tables in the shop and could serve us there....

we stopped off on our bike ride and admired the wonderful cakes. They didn't have any that were gf&df but we were able to have a tasty coconut milk latte. A very pretty village stores with some lovely products on sale.

One of the best Bacon Sandwick & Cup of Tea I have had. When we turned up the cafe part of the deli was closes due to staff shortages, however the owner was great and made us a special Ciabatta Bacon Sandwick. Great Deli

The last time I visited Bircham Café was pre Covid. Yet, I literally walked partially through the front door and was greeted by Mark by name and welcomed warmly. The food, drink and service was amazing as expected, and Mark took time to ask after our daughter (who he has not seen for years) which was so personal and lovely. Mark, we are sorry for not coming back sooner. We have the deepest respect and admiration for you and all you have achieved through your Bircham stores and Café Business. You have a clear focus on customers, on amazing service and made both myself and my Husband Gary very proud to know you. We will definitely be making more frequent visits from now on.

Although we are not new to the area we have only just moved into the village itself. Ive been dying to try out the food here but our first visit today was simply for groceries. Upon seeing there scrumptious counter selection i couldn't help but order most of it. Imagine my horry with a que full of people to realise that i had forgotten my bank card and had little cash on me. To make matters worse my 3 times disabled child then kicked the counter. I was mortified. And yet the gentleman behind the counter was amazing. He didn't even look twice at my sons appalling behaviour but also gave us more produce than i had the cash for. Yes the food is amazing and i cant recommend it enough but that level of service is second to none. Personally that means more to me than the high level of food they do offer.

Dropped in by chance and were treated to an absolutely fantastic breakfast. Brilliant friendly service and could not fault the food in any way. Really good menu as well had stuff like pancakes with maple syrup and kedgeree to choose from. My wife had the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. A real find will definitely be coming back.

Grest place very nice a lovely little shop in a village will worth a look set in a lovely little village it as one of the best cheese choices in a dope I've seen in a long time as all some very nice high end wines great home made cake and flans etc stock beer spirits and more great home made bread this place all so have a cafe witch as a great mene u great starters and mains as do as a drinks lince great wine by the glass and beer to enjoy a nice meal in a court yard

In 58 years on this planet the best ever brunch I have had, Flavours and service worthy of accolades. Mark the owner is a vibrant and wonderful character who clearly has built a strong team around him. Everyone on top of their game and so welcoming. Mary the chef deserves the highest of praise. With pasties and food this good she needs her own TV programme to share some of her secrets. BTW,,,,,irs also very evident the locals also adore this fantastic gem of an amenity in their community.
