We love cycling here for tea and cake as always a great selection and a warm welcome. Today, although a bit nippy, the sun was shining so we still sat outside and enjoyed a yummy cheese scone and a moist piece of carrot cake. Shame it closes in 2 weeks for the winter. 🙁

Very popular cafe, despite being off the beaten track - definitely a favourite with locals. Had coffee and a cheese scone straight out of the oven. Delicious! Great to have the surrounding gardens and plant centre to peruse possible purchases.

Lovely quiet spot for a coffee, bacon bap and piece of cake. We sat outside in the sunshine and then bought some plants before heading on our way. Highly recommend if you need a break whilst travelling to the coast.

The sausage bap was very good and my coffee was fine My main criticism is the use of disposable cups for all drinks. The installation of a dishwasher and proper cups saucers, porcelain/ china, would be entirely desirable. Disposable cups have no place in my opinion, even establishments like Cafe Nero offer china cups and saucers!

Not very happy.the cake we had was very dry and only a very small piece with a blob of yogurt next to it and the drinks in paper cups was a put off as it's not a take away.2 pieces of small cake and 2 coffee's £14.95.lovely setting but sadly Will not be going back.

Lovely cafe in a devine garden/plant center. Flat white was very decent (I'm a coffee snob). And a super selection of delicious cakes and home made scones. The setting is perfect.

I am new to needing gluten free food so was pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture of the top quality Schär gluten free roll. Generous amount of bacon in the roll, too. Good coffee. Lovely service. Obviously takes a pride in their work.

Very lovely cafe, serving lots of great cakes and coffee. Our coffee was incredible, we were thoroughly impressed. The carrot cake was excellent too. If we were to say one thing to improve it would be a better system for ordering as we were waiting 25 minutes in a queue of only 4 people ahead of us, we didn’t mind this as we had lots of time but wouldn’t be ideal if we wanted a quick coffee.

My elderly parents and I have visited this little ‘sanctuary’ frequently throughout the year. We have nothing but thanks for the warm welcome, great coffee and food and for the way we are always looked after despite my Father being in a wheelchair. Thank you and roll on next year….we will miss our visits!

Lovely setting, garden to look around and wonderful plants to buy, with a glimpse at an Anthony Gormley statute or two. Homemade cakes ,and scones. Fresh rolls made to order and fresh soup made I believe from produce grown there. Afternoon tea available- would guess need to book in advance. Service is slow as though a lot of staff , systems don't seem to be in place. A place for slow living. Limited seating in doors, up stairs, but ample seating outside. Free car park on site, disabled parking nearer to cafe.

My friend and I had a visit to the cafe after a lovely wander around the gardens. What a great selection of eats and not the usual cakes you get in most places. We had a blueberry scone which was bursting with blueberries and so light and soft. It came with a generous portion of clotted cream and butter but the best bit for me was the damson jam. Not a common jam to find but my favourite and this jam was made perfectly. I loved the fact that everything was served in recyclable materials...even the little jam and cream pots. I have read some of the reviews where people don't like it but as an avid recycler I think it's a great idea and it's only temporary anyway. The staff were really friendly and the seating is great outside. We tucked ourselves next to some hollyhocks so we could bee watch whilst eating but there are tables not near plants for those who would prefer. The seating inside is simple and comfortable as well. I'm looking forward to another visit and this time to buy a pot of jam to take home.

Lovely cafe in the grounds of the garden centre . My rating is lower as the sausages in the bap were very dry as they had been overcooked/reheated for too long plus the service is painfully slow . The coffee is great and good quality but it would enhance the experience if it was served in a cup and saucer . Customers should take their trays to the area where the cups and plates are disposed of but often that doesn’t happen. Didn’t see anyone clear tables the whole time we were there. The Pear and Ginger cake was sublime ! We would go back but it needs tweaking.

I’ve visited the cafe a number of times and it’s been excellent, very enjoyable and I wonder, therefore, if there’s been a change of management/ownership as I didn’t find it quite as good as before. As other reviewers have commented, why the cardboard/disposable plates and cups? Food and drinks were always served on/in proper” crockery previously, and all the better for not having soggy plates for cakes and sandwiches etc. It’s an eat-in cafe not a takeaway. The cakes were enjoyable. The bacon bap was tasty but would have been nicer and easier to eat had a large piece of fatty bacon rind been removed or trimmed before serving. It would

Apple Cafe is situated in a lovely place, near to the Gardens and Nursery. However, on ordering a bacon bap and a sausage bap they arrived very quickly. Too quick to have been cooked in the short time we had ordered. The bacon was so hard and texture of cardboard. Black over it which means that how it was cooked originally had not been cleaned. Cold as well. The sausage bap would have been much better if it had been cooked while we wait and not sat on a hot plate. We were quite prepared to wait 20 mins for the sausage to have been cooked. Bacon is much quicker. The sausage was of good quality.

Perfect spot, lovely building and decor, but completely let down by serving food on paper plates. We had soup and a roll, which is really not nice from a paper plate. Coffees and teas were also served in paper cups ,milk in separate paper cups , but with proper teapots, very strange. Please go back to normal crockery to match the rest of the experience of coming to West Acre Garden Centre- a uniquely pretty setting. It would also be better for the environment!

Yes it's a well run cafe with excellent food offerings plus pleasant staff. BUT, please your soup albeit delicious, was served in a takeaway coffee container!? Sausage roll in a cardboard dish, which obviously had been microwaved, soggy bottom indeed. It certainly is not a cheap option for a light lunch, pre pandemic it was a joy to vist the cafe and gardens. Today's experience is off putting. 02/09/22

Really nice food here, mainly cakes and scones, tea coffee etc. They have read the Covid guidance and then used common sense to apply them. I'd rather have a proper mug than disposable cups, but at least they had bins for recycling etc. At the side of the café. Proper mugs etc would get them 5 stars. We stumbled across this hidden gem that is not very well advertised, on our Anniversary weekend away, on our way to the North Norfolk Coast. We were there on a Saturday morning and had the lovely outdoor seating area to ourselves. The small barn-cafe is enclosed in a garden nursery, which is enclosed in gardens themselves, which is enclosed into a walled garden of a large home. The sun was shining which really helped and as well as having our tasty coffee and cake, we were able to browse what was for sale at reasonable prices as well as wander through their borders and veg patches. So cute and we'll definitely return with various people.

We stopped here on our way home on the advice of a random chap we ran in to while walking around Sandringham earlier in the week. The cafe was just amazing! As hot food had stopped being prepared at 230pm we settled for sammies and the granola which was simply amazing (I had to race the child as she had taken a liking to the compote!!).Same can be said for the coffee as the flat white was pretty damn good.On top of that the garden itself was simply amazing and the garden centre was a real money black hole Wife said she was only going to get a couple plants...nek minute we are loading a forest in to the car!! I really cannot rate the cafe highly enough. Highly recommended for the fantastic food and awesome coffee! PS. If you are an Anthony Gormley fan his house is right next door!!

I’ve not been here for about 10 years and it was lovely to see that some of the staff remains. All staff are super lovely. The foods was just as good as it was back then. I had the chicken Washington granary bap and a pot of peppermint tea. The side salad that came with the bap had a lovely dressing on it which was just right. I’ve been to places where they drown the salad in the dressing! The pot of tea was enough to do 2.5 cups and it’s a treat to have a proper china cup and saucer. Don’t ever change the way you do things here.
