Poco Lounge in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

If you want to have your meal in a kids playground and don't actually want to listen to what your fellow diners are saying above the noise of small children hoovering the floor with plastic Dyson things and screaming all around you, then this is the place for you!! Really poor set up..all it needs is a bouncy castle in the room and you're well away!!! Have kids parties ...fine, but control them ?! In an area not right next to other diners who literally couldn't hear each other speak due to the screaming kids that the parents allowed to run riot! Food was average at best and v small portions for what you're paying... first visit and sadly the last for me

Eaten here on three occasions now when visiting family in Kings Lynn. The Beef Brisket Chilli and Tomato Mascarpone Pasta dishes in particular are delicious.

Pricey and could do with larger portion sizes.. However it's a nice treat, great and friendly staff and lovely atmosphere

I had the miami brunch ths morning, and it was delicious. I could honestly say it was the best tasting breakfast I have ever had. It was so full of flavour! It is a must order, and I will be ordering that again.

Been a couple of times since it has opened but on my most recent visit last week, this place has gone down hill!

Best meal I’ve had in ages fast service very nice surrounding features beautiful lighting Absolutely lovely! My favourite place to go for a family meal never disappoints.

I ordered the lounge cheese burger which was absolutely amazing like always. However, the chips were very overcooked and some were even hallow. This has put me off going again sadly.

A mixed experience visiting the Poco Lounge. My husband ordered the curry and was very underwhelmed with the quantity of chicken (3 pieces) this was dealt with quickly and the meal was replaced. I ordered the flatbread and it was fantastic! We did find our sitting area was rather messy on the floor and seat and I'm guessing that was from children but should have been cleared. The waitresses were very helpful and the decor great. I would return and have been to others in the chain.

I celebrated my 24th birthday at poco lounge this evening and I honestly cannot thank the staff enough for their amazing hospitality. Everything was spot on, from the food to the service we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening, thank you for making my birthday one to remember!

A spur of the moment decision to try this place, and we were not disappointed. The chilli beef brisket was spicy but still very tasty. Will be back !

The English breakfast in Poco is a hearty classic with perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, savory sausages, and more. The beautiful decor and friendly service make the experience really nice.

Delicious food with a great menu choice. It was hard to decide what to have, as everything sounded so good. I had the Miami Brunch which was really tasty, and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. My husband had the shakshuka which he really enjoyed too. Staff were all lovely, and the restaurant is very child friendly which made a relaxing visit where you didn't feel the need to rush out.

We dined here twice, lunch and breakfast. Both times the food was a let down, average at best. I would not recommend vs getting a drink.

Probably the best choice of Gluten free food I have had for a while Served in a friendly atmosphere - attentive but not over the top!

Love going for lunch, well behaved dogs welcomed. Good food. swiftly delivered by very helpful servers. You can always find someone to chat with. Exceptionally friendly atmosphere, visit you will not be dissapointed.

What an amazing restaurant! We have just been here and had a fantastic time. We have a 2 and 4 year old and they were so accommodating the restaurant is so child friendly which is lovely! The staff are brilliant, friendly, and welcoming. The food was delicious. We all cleared are plates! 100% recommend, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Lovely food especially the tapas and the chicken bacon avacado burger. Service depends on what staff are on. The young lady with the dark curly hair is amazing.

Absolutely wonderful, we had 2 tapas boards, the onion rings and the Parmesan and garlic fries. Highly recommended - genuinely some of the nicest food I’ve ever had! And lovely serving staff behind the bar…we’ll definitely be back! 😃

This place was buzzing, one of the better atmospheres in Kings Lynn. Because of this service was very slow for drinks and food. But the wait was worth it. This place also caters to dietary requirements and I had a huge range of gluten free options to choose from. Definitely recommend this place!

Happy to recomend We had a party of eight with 2 dogs, they were not able to seat us together, but we did accept 2 tables of 4, and took the fact of being busy as a good thing, the food drink service and atmosphere was of a good standard.

Lovely atmosphere, lots of different meals to choose from , portion sizes are perfect. All of us ate every scrap of food rather than leaving some , so no food waste. We come to kings Lynn probably once a month , and have always walked by as we thought it would be to expensive but so glad we went in today, especially when we found out how responsible the prices were and how beautiful the food tasted. Definitely will be visiting again

Just like every other Lounge, the menu is the same, the service is excellent, helpful & happy staff. My only reason for lack of 5 stars is the price, bit everywhere is expensive these days. The food was cooked perfectly & tasted great.

We are down here on holiday and chose to eat here based on reviews,The place is nice enough, but the food was awful. Probably amongst some of the worst weve ever eaten in a restaurant. I had the beef chilli… and that’s exactly what it was, just beef and chilli, no other flavours, it was disgusting, I never leave food but couldn’t finish this. I had a side of sweetcorn fritters, they were actually quite nice, but for £4.95 I want more than 3 tiny offerings! My missus had a sausage sandwich, patatas bravas and fries, the sandwich was literally a sandwich chopped in half an stuck between 2 slices of dry bread, nothing to go with it in the sandwich, the patatas bravas was a joke, I’ve never seen an offering like it! A few dry over cooked cubes of potato with a bit of of red stuff and a tiny bit of cheese on top, again this was also inedible. Fries were just what seemed to be potato end shavings. Finally, we got two glasses of lemonade, more accurate would be to say a glass of ice with a tiny bit of lemonade. £30+ absolutely wasted. We went here based on reviews, if people think the food here is good, I’d hate to think what their version of bad would be. We certainly won’t be returning We left hungry and had to find something else. The food here is way overpriced and truly disgusting!

Disappointing visit. We came he with friends after hearing it was dog friendly and was impressed with the menu online. Unfortunately our visit led to some disappointment. Out friend ordered a trio of tapas which came just short of £16 for the meal - he received barely anything in each of the plates and was left hungry. Not value for money at all. I had a chicken flatbread, which although tasted nice was cold. We ordered desserts also - I had the banoffee cheesecake which came with no biscuit base. I queried this with the waitress and they did bring me a replacement , however this was still lacking a lot of biscuit. Mocktails were overpriced for what it was . The rest of our groups food was fine and service was friendly. Could have just been a bad day but more attention to detail on quality and quantity of food needs to be paid.

I had the Gluten Free Caribbean chicken Curry. It was tasty but had little or no chicken in it that I could see. The venue is nice and the staff were very attentive

Lovely night out with a group from work, I love how spacious and laid back the atmosphere is! Food was delicious, I had the Buddha Bowl with chicken, couldn't fault it.

My recent visit to this establishment left me with mixed feelings. Despite its perpetual crowdedness, I couldn't shake off my lack of enthusiasm for the overall experience. Ordering a Buddha bowl with chicken, I was hoping for a refreshing burst of flavors, but what arrived fell short of my expectations. The portion size, considering the price point, left much to be desired, failing to justify the expense. While I appreciate the venue's inclusivity, being both dog and kid-friendly, these factors alone aren't compelling enough to entice me for a return visit.

Amazing food, slightly pricey but the staff were nice and so was the atmosphere. The food came relatively quickly and checks all the boxes, I recommend to come.

I'd like to begin this review by saying the front of house staff did a fantastic job during our visit, no issues with them whatsoever. I actually felt sorry for them having to apologize to multiple tables for waits & mix ups with the food. During our visit, there was no more than 6 tables in the restaurant (a Sunday evening). Yet my garlic flatbread & 1 bowl of black beans & sweetcorn took an HOUR. When it did arrive, I tipped my bowl of beans onto my flatbread (to eat it somewhat like a pizza) but I didn't realize the flatbread was hard. I struggled to even cut it with a knife. I tried ripping it with my hands but only ate a few bites from the inside which was softer before giving up. I was on a table of 7 people, everyone had their burgers, Buddha bowls & breakfasts before me even though I'd ordered before most of them. 2 people on my table had issues with their meals with ingredients being missing, which the front of house staff went to the kitchen to get for us. We could actually see a chef in the kitchen just standing & staring at the food tickets, looking completely lost. I don't know if this is a new chef or if they were just having a bad day but I'm not sure they're up to the job if they can't handle a quiet Sunday evening shift. We actually had an extra burger come to our table that nobody had ordered (before my food arrived), which we ended up taking because it was clear the kitchen had just cooked too many. I did receive a refund for my flatbread & beans, rightly so. Many thanks to Aki for doing her best in a stressful situation. A few people, including myself, on my table work in hospitality so we can sympathize. This experience won't stop us from coming back to Poco Lounge as we've been MANY times before & have always had good food. However, it was a shame as 3 people from our group had never visited before so this wasn't a great first impression for them. Kitchen - what happened?!

Headline | had better meals and experiences here previously but was a good experience Had breakfast mid week. It was quiet. Some staff didn't really want to interact unless they had to, didn't really smile or make us feel welcome, there was one lady who was very nice stopped to talk and chat to us even though she wasn't our server. The food and drinks were nice 😋, there didn't seem to be an upbeat atmosphere, it needed some louder music playing in the background as if there was Any we didn't hear it.

The place has a very warm atmosphere, I liked the interior. The food was great, delicious. We had beef brisket chilli and Caribbean chicken curry. Very tasty both. Also dog friendly with biscuits and water bowl.

Lovely place and ambience, quite casual. Bang bang chicken had three very thin slices of chicken which was very poor. It tasted nice but wasn't substantial. My wife's buddha bowl was missing persian grains which we had to ask for. The flatbread we ordered was very tasty but should have come pre cut to make it easy to eat. Our long island ice teas though were tasty did not taste alcoholic which they should be as they are supposed to have 4 spirits in it. A lot of vegetarian options that included cauliflower were not available which was disappointing. Service was quick from ordering on the app. A reasonable experience overall.

This place has a nice vibe and is dog friendly. Only gripe is the staff are slow with orders.

Visited today for lunch. Excellent gluten free options and a chicken club ciabatta to die for. Will certainly come again the next time we are in Kings Lynn.

Chuffed to have found this little gem of a place. Lovely, atmospheric decor, superb service with an actual genuine smile and really good food, great selection of drinks, all very reasonably priced. Everything we ate today was fresh and made with love and attention. I can't praise this place enough. It is my favourite place from now on and we will be coming back.

Two disappointing meals in, the latest and last is a decent tasting enough steak, is it beef? but with a meagre portion of fries and flagging rocket. With a large coke £23. The last meal was Roses chicken recipe, more or less chicken parmo in a glutinous goo, Left feeling hungry. Decor is nice, as are the staff, I commend them. Think I'd rather Poca myself in the eye.

Came in this evening for food and drinks with my family. Absolutely amazing service and the food was delicious and good value for money. I recommend the halloumi burger, so so good. Also a big shout out to Leo the waiter, he was so friendly and really made our night special. Can’t wait to come back again soon.

The place was empty, 2 tables taken inside and 3 outside. Still took well over 5 minutes for someone to see to me and be seated. Orders took far far too long to be brought out despite being near empty. The waitress kept coming outside to play with dogs sat outside for 5 minutes plus. Not very sanitary for a waitress to be climbed on by dogs before bringing out food. I was getting low on my drink so preemptively ordered my next one. A blackcurrant squash, not the hardest drink to mix at the bar. Took well over 20 minutes and I'd finished my first drink and meal by this point. Had to sit and finish it when I honestly wanted to go. The food was ok but the service was awful.

The Poco Lounge is very quirky with its decor, great burgers and very nice bar staff . It was very quiet when we visited but it didn't spoil the atmosphere.

Sign that says wait to be seated but not enough staff to attend to customers 3 people walked out. My streaky bacon was a heartache level of unedible

The decor was stunning, and Poco Lounge had a lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing, and I was sad when I'd finished it all. Definitely recommend Poco, and will be back soon ♥️

The manager does not know how to treat people with respect

Popped in for breakfast and had a mixed experience. Two of us had pancakes with bacon that was excellent, but our eggs Benedict was on untoasted dry bread. Espresso drinks were well made and it is a friendly environment with games to entertain the kids.

When your birthday falls on a Monday then it’s a bit rubbish, so we decided to head to Poco Lounge for my birthday dinner because they are one of the only dog friendly places in King’s Lynn. Turns out they aren’t actually that dog friendly. We arrive and choose a table out of the way so that our dogs can chill out and not disturb other diners. We completed our order online at 19.03, and our drinks were brought over quite quickly - we had one of our dogs on a chair with my thick winter coat completely covering not only the seat of the chair, but also the entire back of the chair. I normally bring a dog blanket but my coat was actually bigger. We asked the member of staff delivering our drinks if this was okay and she assured us it was fine. Whilst waiting for our food to arrive, I picked my dog up and had her on my lap, not touching the table. At 19.15 a member of staff (assistant manager) came over to tell me that I couldn’t be holding my dog. I’ve never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life, and went to put her on the covered chair. I was then told this wasn’t allowed either, despite being assured it was fine by another member of staff. The assistant manager was quite abrasive so I said that we would like a refund and we would leave. She told me to calm down, despite being calm and just wanting a refund and to go find somewhere else for dinner. She argued both hygiene reasons and other guests with dog allergies. If you have a dog allergy then don’t go visit somewhere that is dog friendly for a meal. I had to request a refund at least 3 times before it was agreed. We were told we could stay if the dogs stayed on the floor, however my dog was now anxious due to the scene and had started barking. I asked what they would prefer - the dog barking and ruining everyone’s dinner because of the confrontation, or letting them be on an entirely covered chair. We asked to speak to the manager, and were told she was there, then that she wasn’t. The assistant manager showed no compassion or leeway, despite it being quite empty inside. As we were leaving she was still trying to talk to us, and even though I said we were going in circles and to just stop, she kept going on and on as we were leaving, as though she absolutely had to have the last word. I am disappointed that it took so long after ordering to establish that there was an issue, after we had already ordered and been inside with our dogs at least 25 minutes. In comparison, we headed to Liquor & Loaded who welcomed the dogs with open arms and lots of fusses - plus no rules about whether I could pick up my dog or not.

Excellent service . Great menu for breakfast lunch and dinner. Had breakfast and all ingredient’s top quality. Cook to perfection . Eggs and toast deserve a special mention.

Food was tasty and served promptly, staff were friendly and helpful, burger and fries were good although almost everything on the desert menu wasn't available so a bit disappointing so opted for the raspberry and chocolate torte as pretty much the only option really but was pretty good when asked for some cream, the milkshake was not for me though, was unbelievably sweet and made my teeth chatter, all in all an ok meal but nothing more

Nice vibe, efficient staff, not cheap but what nice restaurants are, found on an afternoon walk around Kings Lynn. Lamb curry very devoid of lamb, but tasty, chicken bang bang lacking any bang bang, had to ask for Tabasco, that made it, but would still give it another chance if back in area

They don't have a variety of food for people with mustard allergy( I couldn't eat) and the barista doesn't know how to shake a cocktail I do this job since 25 years.
