Had a wonderful night Saturday , food was gorgeous , the waitress was amazing and the singer was brilliant , we really enjoyed everything , will definately be back

Cafe excellent, waitress service excellent & the breakfast was also excellent. The cakes on the counter looked very tempting as well. I'll have to try those next time I come to sunny Hunstanton ☀️😊

Having been out for some wonderful meals we thought we would try here. Nobody was in so that should be a clue at 7.30 at night. Meal was terrible, my sister had seafood pasta and looked and smelt terrible. Waitress kept going back to the chef to ask him questions about it, it was really bad. Worse experience of our holiday and would certainly not recommend this restaurant for dinner !

Worst milkshake ever. Powdered milk like nesquick £4.50. Don't waste your money

Lovely cafe in Hunstanton. Had a birthday treat. I had a coffee and a piece of coffee and walnut cake. Both were lovely. The cake was as good as my grandmas. Will go again.

Very rude and arrogant, not welcoming, not helpful. Whatever you do for gods sake do not go in there with children or even a baby. Have since spoken to family, friends and acquaintances about my experience and before I have finished they have said they are not surprised and have had the same happen to them. That’s why we all refuse to go back again. Nothing to do with the food, couldn’t care less it’s nothing special by any means. I didn’t even get as far as looking at a menu because I was practically verbally pushed back out the door. But if that’s the way you treat customers you could be serving caviar for all I care and it would make the experience awful. This miserable man, Daniel I believe needs to sort himself out, maybe not work in a forward facing public area with an attitude and unprofessional approach. Clearly doesn’t want to make any money as I went elsewhere and was warmly welcomed no problem.

Lovely staff who helped me with my bags and the food is yummy. Everything is fresh. I had a CD lovely salad and a nice cup of tea.

Cafe legge is a nice cafe a small stroll back from the seafront. The food was good, fresh crab salad & homemade tangerine cheese cake.service was excellent & very reasonable priced will definitely return.

A pleasant and quiet place, a wonderful terrace. Unobtrusive music plays in the institution. If you come in to watch the news, a large TV is at your service. The Sunday breakfast was nutritious, the service was neat and fast, the dishes were clean. The staff is friendly. I recommend

I dont understand the bad reviews . The staff were lovely we were served straight away . We had Cheese and pickle sandwich, salad and crisps . The pickle was lovely not a supermarket one . Although I didnt find it cheap it was worth it as I did enjoy lunch here .

Called in for a quick bacon sandwich and a coffee while waiting for a bus. Great service and yummy.

First visit. We sat at a table and waited to be served. Sat for 10 minutes and staff looked over several times but still did not come over even though the restaurant was not full. I approached one of them and eventually our order was taken. I wish we hadn't bothered, the coffee was awful and I should have known that if it was necessary for the cheese scone to be put in the over that it is another word for not fresh! Didn't have the slightest hint of cheese. Not all their customers are holidaymakers, us who live more local could be your customer base in the leaner months. Treat your customers better and improve the food quality. We won't be going back.

Popular cafe on the corner of the High Street in Hunstanton. Seating both inside and out. Decent menu We visited for an evening of Indian food with live music. I believe that Cafe Legge are now looking to offer feature evenings. Last month was Tapas.

Breakfast was very priced. Over £9 for one egg, sausage,bacon,mushroom, half a tomato and one round of toast. Coffee was good though

This cafe/bistro quite rightly boasts the best coffee in Hunstanton .The younger staff particularly the male are extremely helpful and courteous. The suspected manager is also good at His job and courteous to all regardless of how much You order. The real downside to this establishment is the older woman/waitress who may or may not be a member of the management team. Her arrogance and unhelpful unfriendly attitude towards my wife was unbelievable. My wife's only misdemeanor was to ask at around 3.30 pm if the establishment was still open.Her attitude and Her unhelpfulness was truly unacceptable. Unfortunately I was not with Her at the time, I had gone to park the car, which is just as well. My wife who as mobility problems as well as hearing impairment was visibly upset by the time I arrived to find the place shut down .We went across the road to the cafe next to the fruit shop where the lovely lady owner made us extremely welcome .I can only suggest this older waitress/senior staff,which I cannot unfortunately put a name to would really benefit from a month's course in customer relations with the lovely lady opposite or Sharon another lovely cafe owner who manages the excellent Coffee Pot cafe. Why this woman who as been at Cafe Legge for quite a few years should be so unfriendly and rude to some type of customers beggars belief.

Abysmal standard of food barely warm one rasher of fatty bacon one sausage one egg half a tomato and a round of toast all this for £9.00. STAY WELL AWAY FROM HERE

Went in for a breakfast one sausage,one rasher fatty bacon half a Tomato, one fried egg and a round of toast it was barely warm ,THE WORST BREAKFAST EVER HAD ,DUSGUTING.

For the best food you have to expect a small wait. Well worth it 😁😁

Reasonable prices, toilets outside. no changing table and lots of signs about stopping children doing this and that, not the most welcoming environment

Enjoyed a lovely roast lamb lunch here today and a very generous helping of lemon meringue pie for dessert. Great value for money. Excellent service by friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.

We visited for dinner. The menu was limited but varied and catered for all preferences. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. The food was of a high standard and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall the evening was a success and we will definitely return.

Excellent breakfast on a sunny Sunday morning on the outside terrace. Staff were friendly and the service was great. Would recommend.

Excellent service as soon we arrived we were attended too with a friendly smile and welcome, I noticed while eating food the same thing happened to all customers who arrived best service I’ve seen in a long time. I ordered a jacket potato with salad big portion lots of salad and coleslaw was very impressed 💯we also ordered cold drinks J20 which came with a glass but no ice so that would be my only recommendation no one likes a warm drink as lady next to us also asked for ice when her coke was served with none but some was offered with no issue so can’t fault that either lovely selection of cakes too. When I went to pay manager asked me if everything was ok before paying which was nice the tip jar was full but I still contributed wish I had taken a picture of food before eating to add to this review. next time I’m visiting I will be definitely calling in again well done I don’t do reviews but was so impressed I did this one without being prompted.

Qe have had 2 Sunday roasts these last 2 Sundays, food excellent. Daniel and staff really welcoming, love the change of coffee area, looks smart and more practical for the staff. If you want Sunday roast you need to book in advance. Great coffees too.

This cafe is the best in the area. Friendly with superb quality food and just the best coffee. We have been here many times and we are always happy with the top quality of this cafe.

We dropped in for lunch on a very cold Monday. There weren’t many places open and we liked the look of the cafe and we weren’t disappointed! The staff made us really welcome and were really quick and efficient in serving us. The menu had a good range of options, both for snacks and main meals. My wife chose a home-made mushroom soup and I had poached eggs on toast with bacon. Both were served with little delay and were scrumptious! My poached eggs were beautifully cooked, with nice runny yolks. We had a pot of tea to accompany our meals and this was good and strong, not wishy washy! All in all, a really pleasant meal in a really pleasant cafe with good, friendly service. What more could you ask for?

Go elsewhere 📛📛📛 On entering told by arrogant pretentious yong man I would have to sit before I could order . REALLY. ORDERED TWO COFFEE AND CHOCOLATE CAKE., at the counter unseated. Coffee came, without cake witout explaination. Waited still no cake. Waited still no cake. The place was nigh on empty... I entered asked for my cake.,and a arrogant young man said,,,,,,,,you want some cake,,,,,,. No.....I replied..... Ive ordered and paid for cake...... wheres my cake.. He looked somewhat dumb founded, refused to give me it there and then saying oh we will bring it out to you.. He wouldnt let me get it there then despite it being arms distance away..What a plebing Buffoon.. Insisting they would bring it out, When they finally did the was no apology or explanation. It was as if I was asking too much of them and I was the problem. . News flash..... thats your job... IF YOU CANT OR DONT WANT TO SERVE get another job..Your getting paid to do a job so do your job... . To busy on phone or something I presume. When my cake did come out there was no apology or anything it was placed on table and the staff never even looked at us.. Farcical Lacking care or concern.Its coffee and cake.... Not coffee and then if we remember you get cake. Go elsewhere theres plenty of places that appreciate your custom. Let down by 2 presumed locals who dont care about making a living or have had enough of outsiders. Which we are not. No wonder place was empty change of staff recomended.

Best breakfast in town with quality coffee as well

Stopped here for a Sunday morning breakfast was a lovely breakfast with good quality ingredients presented well. Will certainly visit again. Staff were very attentive without being annoying . The bistro was very clean with a great atmosphere.

Pleasant staff but disappointed with what we ordered. Ordered soup with bread to warm us up on a really cold day. Soup was lovely but instead of an expected crusty roll we got one slice of thin bread that looked as though it had come from a value loaf from a supermarket. I could almost see through it it was so thin. Nice cafe but when I asked to use customer toilets I was told that I had to leave the building, walk down some outside stairs, walk round to the rear of the building and I'd find them there. Not really suitable for a cafe of this size that becomes a wine bar in the evening. Don't think we'll be returning.

Dan and his staff always make every visit fun and welcoming, and the food is incredible. And my parents are a regular fixture there

Sunday Roast was amazing, we had roast beef and lots of veg + plus they give you a big jug of gravy each. What I would call a proper locally sourced Sunday roast. Only available on Sundays after 12pm, bookings advised.

Always call in at this place when on holiday in Old Hunstanton.Sat outside on a lovely day and had cappuccinos and a scone. Really enjoyable and nice staff. We love Cafe Legge.

Not a massive selection but I ate there and it was nice and good.

Not clear whether you go inside to order of wait at the tables. Joined a queue only to find it was just people settling their bills. Sat outside and waited but ignored by the waitress on several occasions. Left and went elsewhere. Shame as we were hoping to return for Sunday lunch.

We like this cafe as we have a dog and can sit outside.We came last week I had a toasted teacake with jam and butter and cappuccino my husband had a scone and flat white. The two girls who served us were lovely and our food was good.I left my walking pole on a ledge outside and forgot to pick it up.When we got back I rang and they found it and said they would keep it for me till I could get back to collect it which I thought was very kind of them.We always like to go there as we enjoy sitting out and are never rushed.

Popped in for a cuppa, we had chips and then a slice of cake. Very large cake portion 😋 and chips were delish 🍟 overall its a little pricey but the quality is great so it's worth it 👌🏻 staff were very friendly and chatty. They service you at your chosen table too. Worth a visit 💚

Visited here on Saturday 17th June 2023 with my cousin and her hubby. wasnt too busy and got a table outside with ease. Great menu and some items seemed a bit pricey. The young girl who served us was useless. I ordered off the menu Cheeses and chutney sandwich but got a cheese and onion. My wife ordered a sarni on brown and came on white. we couldnt be bothered to re order as it took ages in the first place to get our food. We had food here many years ago and was good but not sure if we will go again.

A hot day in Hunstanton we wanted a light lunch and visited this cafe, we had no indication on how to order, a note giving this, that you find a table and wait to be served would have been helpful. We waited for some time before the waitress got to us to take the order, and even longer before the drinks and food arrived. I had a tuna mayo salad and my wife had a baked potato and prawn filling. The food was excellent and if you can can address the service issues it would have been 5 star rating.

Cafe Legge is like an Aladdin's cave of quality food and excellent coffee, spotlessly clean and friendly staff with the added bonus they serve you at your table, which always adds to the enjoyment of eating out ..... My friends and I, all have our personal favourites at Cafe Legge, mine is the home made cakes, they are an experience to savour. Who ever makes these must have magical powers in their hands. I recommend this Oasis of tranquility to all ... 5 star

Called in here for something to eat had been before but this time different staff 2 girls did not seen to know what to do asked for menu shevpointed over there ? On end of vounter mixed up with loads of cakes all over the counter ordered food and drinks got our drinks and some time later the food arrived it was very poor to say the least sausage and egg Bap was a small roll for £4.00 not good £2.00 for fries but not even worth 50p then got no cutlery or serviettes had to ask, went to us the loo well it's disgusting dirty looked like it had not been cleaned for months the tap on the hand basin was filthy with black grime the loo had been used by many and was dirty not good and staff just stood around not aprons hair all over the place not good would not recommend its not worth 1 star but we have to give them 1

Ate here for the first time. The soup & sandwich was superb, cauliflower cheese soup was a first for me, absolutely wonderful. Prices are a little high but good quality ingredients are used. Deducted 1 star for the toilet. It is outside of the cafe but I could not find it 🤔 The service was excellent.

Sadly did not enjoy this cafe at all. The atmosphere was very off... Staff were miserable and very unwelcoming to anyone that entered. Food wasn't nice considering the prices. Wish I'd read the reviews beforehand.

Spending a short break in Hunstanton, I took my mum out for a cup of tea in town. Cafe Legge looked very inviting on a prominent corner of the High Street. With a friendly welcome and efficient service, we enjoyed a relaxed time having tea and coffee before heading out for the day. Look forward to visiting again in the future.

Waited 10 minutes for four watery coffees covered in sea foam. To top off the experience I ended up with half a packet of something in my mouth that must have been floating in my coffee for a while.

We chose to dine here as they had an outside table free on what was a fine-weather day. The menu for lunch was very good and although service was a little slow initially, when our order eventually arrived it was excellent and quite generous. Whilst we ate our lunch several delivery vehicles arrived & departed nearby, a mobility-scooter grand prix seemed to take place :) across the road and there was a exemption dog show in constant procession. I jest, but this corner spot is great if you like good refreshments whilst watching the world get on with life.

Waited outside no service went inside to be told rudely by the male manager table service only, politely said we were outside was that ok, went back outside and waited another 15mins without anyone bothering to come outside and serve us. Fabulous food and very attentive service. My mum was a regular and she was a hard sell. If there was something not quite right she would complain. She loved dining at Cafe Legge though, and never had a negative word to say about the service or meals provided. Over the past year I have enjoyed countless roast dinners and copious amounts of the best coffee. I think every town should have a Café Legge 😊

We sat outside on a lovely sunny morning, the coffee and service were excellent, no complaints there at all. But the bacon sandwich (which wasn't cheap) had two rashers of dried out, leather hard, re heated bacon. There is crisp, and then there is desiccated....

Poor covid 19 regulations, no staff wearing face masks

Only rated on covid as nobody working there wearing mask, obviously all have medical reasons, do everything else for covid, but surely staff should be wearing masks, why does hunstanton council not check on these things with lots of people visiting from all over country
