Amazing food , great service lots of different varieties

Been here many times and never had a bad experience. Staff always friendly and service good. Booking system online is a great idea and works well. Good choice of items on the menu

Had a great experience at the honeystone, Dave was a great member of the team. Nothing was too much trouble for him whilst serving us.

Nice Marston pub, in good position in Hunstanton. Plenty of car parking spaces.

Had a great afternoon with friends for a few drinks. The team were lovely, service was quick although super busy. Would definitely recommend a visit here if you are heading to Hunstanton

Got there 5mins before due, Sat down at our seats, went up to the bar to order, THEN, we were told a 45 minute wait, not by the server...hummm. Any way 1hour later food arrived, tasted fantastic, all four of us agreed, would we go back again, yes, but not a Sunday.

Overall the place is nice and location is great.

I recently visited this place, and while the service and atmosphere were good, the quality of the food was very bad. Everything is nicely described on the menu, but when the food arrived, it was nothing like what was advertised. For example, the mashed potatoes looked like they were made from powder—terrible.

Here on holiday called to n midweek and also today Sunday 15th September 2024 both meals very good. Service by Helen excellent would be happy to eat here again

Visited The Honeystone with friends and our two dogs. Really friendly team, very busy but still has time to deliver great service. Highly recommended.

Was disappointed no Sunday roasts left and my hunters chicken was very tough pub very hectic and not a lot of staff

Terrible table service, waited an hour and a half for our mains after our starters. Had to ask to see where our food was 3 times before eventually getting it. We booked here to have a roast and when we arrived we were told there was no roasts. Would not recommend at all.

AVOID! The food was awful and over cooked. We ordered three pizzas. All rolled out to a inch of their life! Cheese cooked so much it had bubbled and the Cheesy garlic bread was disgusting. Absolutely no one came to the table to ask us how I meal was. For the money we paid a sainsburys meal deal would have been more enjoyable. The honeystone in Hunstanton use to be lovely and for some reason since the 2 for 1 deal stopped running none of the restaurants have been worth going to. One of your staff was having lunch which was nice to see. What also shocked me was that her pizza looked amazing like the chef had actually taken time and effort to actually make it.

Warm and friendly atmosphere, everywhere was clean and tidy. Food was excellent and staff polite and friendly. Can't wait to visit again when I'm in the area.

The food is served lovely & hot & within a reasonable time, staff are friendly & the environment is clean & welcoming… my only issue is that the salad I have had twice now has things missing…. It says it comes with soy beans, I found one on the first salad & two on the second, (literally) & it’s meant to be served with brown rice as well, I did not find any either time & both time the salad was served & clearly prepared differently … surely chefs are taught to follow a specific recipe & presentation? That being said .. the chicken was nice & hot as was the bacon & or was all very fresh looking & delicious!

It was a nice enough meal for the money. We were served by maddie who was fab and did a very good job. Can't fault atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

Massive thank you to Honeystone. Visited twice this weekend whilst staying locally. My son has a peanut and treenut allergy and staff were very helpful. The lovely lady who seated us was having a very busy evening Sunday and had some awful customers to deal with, but she was friendly, smiley and helpful. Food took a while but we were warned about that prior to ordering so you can't say fairer than that. We all enjoyed our food and we hardly eat out due to the allergies so thank you for some lovely meals

Visited yesterday with family. Our food was lovely, staff were all friendly however Maddie who served us was especially friendly and chatty! Couldn’t have asked for a lovelier server. Atmosphere was great. Will definitely be visiting again.

My husband and I had a wonderful much needed food stop. Highly recommended.

Briliant, they alowed me to stop the night in my motorhome, for free, and ate 2 meals in the pub. Staff are first class. But in the evning it is best to book a table well in advance as it is veey popular. I did think it was rather close to the fun fair but the noise was minimal and stoped early enough. I love that i could just wander through the fair to the beach. I had a lovley strole after my evning meal and at 7am i wanderd down there and had brakfast on the beach befor an early start home. Prices for food were very reasonable. Next time i visit Hunstanton I will visit again.

Food quite small portions. Mash potatoes were non existent on the sausage n mash dinner.

The food was lovely, except my husband and I didn't like the pepper on the steak. Other than that, everything was really good. Looking forward to eating with you next year.

The team here are trying really hard to make the restaurant work well. They are a super friendly bunch of people and the food is fairly good - from a vegan foodie :) thanks for helping make our stay memorable, we enjoyed your restaurant, especially the kids play areas. Lovely big restaurant in a very useful location for the beach and rides. Will be back to try the other items on the menu.

Beautiful food. We live in Hunstanton and often come here as a meeting place for a meal out. Reasonable service, decent food and lovely place to go for a meal!

Got my food but it was missing the bbq sauce and rocket like it said on the menu and someone else with me didn’t receive brown rice and soya beans with their jacket potato which is said on the menu damn right lazy oh and the chicken wings are like rocks

RAW FOOD Well being from a place where Marston pubs are many we thought the Honeystone was a safe bet . How wrong were we !!!!! To start with the beer ! (Peddy) was flat . The bar staff seem oblivious to this and this was acceptable in their standards. Then the food arrived. Hunters Chicken and the Chicken Kebab. The hunters chicken was barely warm and the Kebab must have come from the fridge. I asked for a fresh one after being offered it to be re heated. Fresh was an understatement as I’m pretty sure they just plucked the chicken and popped it raw on my plate. I asked to see the manager Amy who stated all the chicken is pre cooked ?? She then offered to reheat it ??? I said no thank and we asked for a total refund. We didn’t want to complain about the hunters chicken but the managers defensive attitude and the fact we didn’t enjoy it we felt we had no choice. She refused as we had eaten half of my partners chilled hunters chicken as we dare not order anything else. Area Manager Brett and Marstons serving RAW food is unacceptable. Needless to say from the bad attitude we received from your Manager and the RAW food we won’t be back !!

Recommended as a good value place to eat and was overall happy with the facilities and menu selection, wait time to order took a while and wait for food with children took a while but wouldn't put me off coming again when in the area, the only downside was another customer putting there small dog in a high chair at the table next to us was not something I would think is acceptable in a restaurant

Meal was very good and all staff very pleasant and helpful

We arrived, having not booked in advance, and although the inside seats were fully booked, we were offered a seat outside. I have various dietary requirements, and Karis, who was serving, went above and beyond to accommodate this. She even went and requested an item not currently on the menu for me with the chef. Great customer service.

When we ordered all the food came out separately. The first person who had ordered got their food last and not their full order. Many of the members on our table had items missing off their plate. Food was quite bland not what was expected and I found it quite expensive. Wouldn't return again.

Dog friendly: for outside seating only. Tad misleading to start but overall decent place to eat and drinks. Food was decent, probably exceeded expectations for a chain pub so good value. Good location to relax away from the busy beach front.

Brilliant stopover for the night in our camper. Very close to the beach. Food was amazing and not small portions. Staff were very friendly.

The staff are always so accommodating and especially with children. Fantastic food at a reasonable price.

Visited The Honeystones This Weekend For A Family Meal And Couldn't Fault A Thing Food Was Cooked To Perfection, Atmosphere Was Great And Service Was Spot On Expecially Our Waitress Summer Always Going Above And Beyond , She Was Amazing An Absolute Credit To The Honeystones .

We enjoyed our visit. One of our party had an allergy, and the staff were great at ensuring this meal was cooked separately. The kids loved the food.

Came here for a drink so kids could play in the play area. The garden is a tip. Rubbish everywhere and empty tables covered in used glasses and plates. Ordered drinks online via the QR code as recommended, I’ve been waiting 20 mins so far and they’ve still not arrived. Edit: added photos. Plates left out for so long they attracted seagulls. I saw a staff member clear one table in the 50 mins we were there. Most of the time we were surrounded by tables with used/glasses plates. Drinks took 20 mins to arrive.

We had been looking forward to a family meal. They took our order incorrectly and forgot the children's meal which meant that we had to wait after the main meals had been served. Then unfortunately my daughter found a foreign object in both her starter and main meal. When I complained they were only able to refund the main meal and 1 drink. Management rules. As most of the food is cook from chill they could only explain that this had happened before it reached their kitchen.

A waste of time prebooking a table, timed prior to an after dinner theatre visit, as on arrival , we were immediately told there was up to 45 min wait for food. Too long for us so we left. What is the point of accepting bookings with that built in delay?

We went for lunch; they were very busy but tried hard to accommodate is despite not having booked. The food came quickly and was very good. Staff were friendly. Couldn’t fault it at all.

Quite a long wait, but food was good

Visited the restaurant for the 1st time last year, while on holiday, loved the food and value for money. So decided to visit again this year and again do not disappoint with the quality of the food. Also this is a dog friendly restaurant with bowls of fresh water, and treats, to take for you doggy 🐾 definitely visit again when we are next in the area.

50 mins wait for food - was told 30 mins. Will come again but will book a table an hour earlier - nice staff.

We reserved online, glad we did it was busy - it's a simple process. The greeter was friendly and showed us to our table along with some colouring pencils for the kids. The menus were sticky and dirty - not a great advert. The lady behind the bar who took our order quite obviously didn't want to be there - abrupt and grumpy. The food was acceptable for the price. Great place to take kids, but wouldn't go as a couple.

Great staff, nice and chilling atmosphere.

Ate here last week and it was stupidly busy. The staff and food were brilliant. OK there was a 50min wait for food but this was fully explained to at the time. However I would also love to point out that I believe it was the manager. Was going around to every staff member thanking them for there hardwork during the week. This was great to see as it was extremely busy.

Children's starter of garlic bread was 1 slice of garlic baguette £1-50 really I complained and asked was that all they got reply was yes but they gave me another slice to stop me complaining more First time we have eaten in a Marston won't be doing it again the portions for children and adults were really small not a happy customer !!!!!

Again another trip to Hunstanton and the kids love to eat here. The staff are always attentive and friendly and the clientel were OK, there's always one isn't there that isn't OK haha. The food was very well cooked as we had various meals and a party of 6. We had about a 30min wait but it was busy so expected in peak season. The only gripe I had this time is we always use our Blue Light card for a discount and we were told we had to download a voucher from the Blue light app. There wasn't a voucher available as Marstons don't have a voucher is the card handy over according to the Blue light card team. Oh well missed out on our discount this time. Will check next time prior to ordering.

Booked in at the Honeystone on Sat Aug 17th for 6.30pm. The staff were very friendly and helpful but we had a problem placing our food order and left without eating. The queues to food order at the bar were lengthy and did not go down quickly. There was a QR code at each table to order on their app but we could not make this work for us. The app asked for a lot of personal information just to enable your order to proceed. I gave up inputting my dob as you needed to flick back through the calander a month at a time, to go back the required minimum 18yrs could take a lot of time....if I was going to persevere and give my real age (61) I may as well have ordered breakfast! I hope they can improve on the app cos otherwise its a nice place.

This is a nice pub and restaurant, the bar staff are friendly and efficient and the choice of food and drink is good. If I had one criticism it would be how warm my food was when I received it, I was rather hungry though so just tucked straight in.

Parked up overnight on their car park in a motorhome. Gave our details to staff behind the bar. Had an evening meal there. Delicious. Had breakfast the next morning which was also delicious. The staff are very friendly and hard working and there is a lot of good banter flowing which makes for a great atmosphere. "Time to lean" 😉 (know what I mean 😊). We will visit again when we are down that way. Ps if you do overnight on their car park, please buy drinks or a meal in the pub, and do not get your chairs and table out on the car park as we saw some van occupants do. The beach is a 5 minute walk away.

Fab place we eat at every time we visit Hunstanton. Great food options friendly staff and they all work very hard the lady at the book in desk is always smiling despite her being rushed off her feet some days! I was served by a lady called Karis who was very pleasent indeed fab at her job great all round place!

Never been before, was a pitstop on our way home. Can't fault it at all. We found it to be very clean, tidy and organised. All the staff, though seeming young, we're great dealing with the usual Friday atmosphere you get in thses sorts of places. One staff member stood out, Maddie who was very friendly, smiley and overall a very welcoming individual. Food was reasonably priced but was very nice regardless. Would stop by again if in the area, again thank you to the staff

Workers where very efficient, got my food within good waiting time from order, the food was lovely, the server Teyla was incredible, as she was very caring and helped both me and my children with all our needs

Ordered the chicken strip and popcorn starter at 5.99 to be served 1 and a half chickens strips and 5 pieces of popcorn over cooked, ordered a side portion of chips at £3.00 for what was at most a handful of chips and garlic bread that was just absolutely burnt and not even possible to eat also ordered the pepperoni pizza which was ok could have used more pepperoni as most of the pizza was just cheese over all unacceptable value for money and when pointing out these issues to the staff there respond was well that’s what it is at those prices it’s day light robbery in my opinion definitely won’t be dinning here again worst dinning experience I’ve ever had in my life

O.k for a quick meal, fair prices. Staff look so miserable, tables not cleared. Being referred to as "mate" by the bar Staff, not very professional.

I am a single disabled diner, who always gets treated with respect. I am always given a table floor level close to bathroom facilities.

Fabulous Sunday Roast, Josh welcoming, delicious roast, Grace & Ann (not sure which one was which) but waitress was very friendly even though rushed off her feet, kept smiling, the other lady kindly went and made the grandchildrens desserts, after they started getting impatient 🙈 very kind of her, service all round excellent, will definitely go back. Grubby restaurant there’s no excuse for dirty menus and food on the floor that’s just a poor duty of care. The outside eating area is filthy and you have to put up with cigarette smoke being blasted over you surely you should separate smokers from other diners ? Food was bland my steak wasn’t seasoned and tasted of nothing basic stuff really,wife had an ok meal but there’s much better cheap options locally. Staff tried their best but were clearly very young and inexperienced.

Welcoming staff, spacious, quick service, great selection of food and able to sit outside if preferred. Food was nice and cooked fresh. Will definitely be returning.

Booked for 6pm, got food well after 7.30pm. Food burnt, missing items and had hair in it. Asked for the item with the hair to be redone, 30 mins later still wasn't done, ask for refund on that item, was told it wasn't their fault they only had 3 people in the kitchen, working 8 hour shifts without a break!!!

The best breakfast in town as there’s lots of it and the bacon is griddle cooked, neither is it as expensive as everywhere else in Hunstanton. The free WiFi is superb which is a must for holiday makers as the phone signal is very poor.

We always visit on the last night of our holiday in hunstanton and are never disappointed. On arrival we were made aware that it would be an up to 45mins wait for food, which was expected as it was busy, and we were seated quickly as we had precooked. We had a table of 8, but ordered in 2 groups, which was a simple process. Food came reasonably quickly and all together. It was delicious, steaks cooked as requested, and good sized portions. Desserts were tasty, especially the sherry trifle cheescake, which I could have eaten all day! Staff were all polite and friendly and nothing would have been too much trouble. We will be back next holiday!

Karis was perfect host excellent service Food was top marks the steak was perfectly cooked Desserts we're excellent Food presentation brilliant unfortunately didn't take photos Will definitely return Only thing could bad could say was really warm inside but can't fault was warm night
