This cafe was so lovely! From the beautiful decor to the fab service, me and my mum were so impressed! We were both served quickly- we had toasties and a hot drink each, which tasted delicious, and the plates that the food was served on had a lovely flowery design. Also, the toilets were clean and nicely decorated.

We visit Central Park café in Chelmsford at least once a week. It’s a perfect stop off for a coffee and a bite to eat as part of our dog walking routine in the park. The food and drink is always top notch, and they have an offer for the doggies too - from puppaccinos to sausage pots - and also bake amazing pupcakes (which I order every year on my doggies birthday as a little treat for her and her furiends). This is a really special place. It has such a family atmosphere and the staff are always so friendly.

A great space for creativity, relaxing and grabbing a coffee. They also run various events throughout the year, and the location is almost directly outside the train station and is easily accessible from the centre of town also.

Visited this coffee bar with high expectations due to its 4.9-star rating but left very disappointed. I arrived at 9:30 a.m. for a quick coffee but was ignored by two staff members who were too busy chatting and laughing to notice customers. After finally catching their attention to place an order, I paid £3.90 for my coffee and took a seat. Despite the bar being nearly empty with only five other patrons, we waited patiently for over 10 minutes while the staff continued chatting. When I approached the counter to inquire about the delay, they admitted to having forgotten our order because the ticket "wasn't printed." They refunded me in cash, but by then, my husband no longer had time to enjoy the coffee. Adding to the disappointment, the tables were dirty, and the seating was uncomfortable. This was the worst customer service I've experienced in years, and it’s baffling how this place has such high ratings. I won’t be returning.

Came here for a Groupon afternoon tea. Lovely old building. The staff were friendly. Sandwiches and cake good quality. But wasn't impressed with the mug of hot water with a teabag. Afternoon tea should always be a teapot and cups and saucers.

On the way to get a take out and saw a few people enjoying a quality beer in peace. No youngsters swearing, just people relaxing with a quality beer or cider in a quiet atmosphere. Lovely welcoming Landlord , very knowledgeable and even had a quick sample before I bought. The way proper beers / ciders should be served. I'm only in the area for a couple of weeks but will go frequently whilst here. Enjoy everyone!!

Sindy's is a totally unique little shop doing amazing fresh sandwiches. They're ridiculously good value for money too. Fresh bread smells amazing.

I had a main meal and a pint early evening. The cask ale was fine, although there was limited choice in the way of cask ales. I had lamb shank which was very fatty and didn’t have very much meat on it either. I told the barman and he said he would pass this on to the kitchen, but I never heard anything more. Perhaps I should’ve followed it up, but I didn’t. The lamb shank was £17.95 and I thought it was a bit of a rip off. If you like big screens showing sport on TV, one arm bandits and 70s disco pumping out then this might be the pub for you, but I don’t think it’s my cup of tea. I doubt I’ll be going back.
