A great space for creativity, relaxing and grabbing a coffee. They also run various events throughout the year, and the location is almost directly outside the train station and is easily accessible from the centre of town also.

I love this amazing friendly place as a coffee shop (they do some fab & unusual hot drinks), I also love it as a venue for events, workshops and classes and it’s a friendly relaxed coworking space to boot.. what’s not to love?!

The Transition is a cafe with a difference. Plenty of art to see, Co.working space and conference facilities are also available. Very near the station and bus station so ideally situated in Chelmsford.

The Transition is not like anything else in the area, as soon as you walk through its doors there is an instant feeling of calm. The place is full of local art work, good music and really friendly people. They also hold lots of different events here and I have signed up to a 'Create your own Terrarium' workshop, I look forward to seeing what more they have to offer!

We visit Central Park café in Chelmsford at least once a week. It’s a perfect stop off for a coffee and a bite to eat as part of our dog walking routine in the park. The food and drink is always top notch, and they have an offer for the doggies too - from puppaccinos to sausage pots - and also bake amazing pupcakes (which I order every year on my doggies birthday as a little treat for her and her furiends). This is a really special place. It has such a family atmosphere and the staff are always so friendly.

This cafe was so lovely! From the beautiful decor to the fab service, me and my mum were so impressed! We were both served quickly- we had toasties and a hot drink each, which tasted delicious, and the plates that the food was served on had a lovely flowery design. Also, the toilets were clean and nicely decorated.

Fantastic pre booked afternoon tea of cakes and sandwiches with plain scones . Originally booked for 4 people but extra person came as well and as we had let them know the day before it was sorted out fine. The food was lovely and so much for £12.95 a head. Service was excellent and very efficient. Would definitely book again.

Visited this coffee bar with high expectations due to its 4.9-star rating but left very disappointed. I arrived at 9:30 a.m. for a quick coffee but was ignored by two staff members who were too busy chatting and laughing to notice customers. After finally catching their attention to place an order, I paid £3.90 for my coffee and took a seat. Despite the bar being nearly empty with only five other patrons, we waited patiently for over 10 minutes while the staff continued chatting. When I approached the counter to inquire about the delay, they admitted to having forgotten our order because the ticket "wasn't printed." They refunded me in cash, but by then, my husband no longer had time to enjoy the coffee. Adding to the disappointment, the tables were dirty, and the seating was uncomfortable. This was the worst customer service I've experienced in years, and it’s baffling how this place has such high ratings. I won’t be returning.
