Great service. The breakfast was first class, excellent ingredients all well cooked and good value as the sourdough toast was included. The coffee was excellent also. The almond croissants are worth a special mention, substantial will a full filling!

Staff are all amazing but sadly there is one member of staff that really lets the whole place down and I believe that it’s the landlord. He is at very least abrupt, condescending and arrogant. It’s such a shame because the pub itself is lovely with a nice outdoor area and warm open bars. There is a quiz night on a Wednesday and various food offers throughout the week. I use my Embers Inns loyalty card and got 33 percent off my bill today. Another perk of it being our local

Visiting the area and we went in here on the first night for a drink. Pretty empty with no atmosphere and the lady behind the bar was a bit miserable and seemed as if she would rather be somewhere else. Visited again on another night - a lot busier so the atmosphere was better and a different lady behind the bar did look more cheerful. Went in on our last night for food which was lovely.

Chaotic isn’t the word! The staff never seem in a rush to get the queue down. I got a hot chocolate today that was very watery! No point queuing to ask for another one made better as the queue is so long in there, isn’t not worth the 10 mins standing waiting. I feel stressed leaving this place. I won’t be coming back

Lovely warm welcome from the owner, perfect location and easy parking with lots of space. Food and service was great, they couldn’t have been more friendly

First time here and it won't be the last. Excellent menu (kids as well) and great choice of drinks too. Staff were friendly and helpful (especially Lynn). Tasty food although the service could have been quicker however it was very busy

Really disappointed with lack of communication and service ... Asked about seating outside and to get food and was told of a small side area outside at the pub where we could sit that was enclosed during to having little ones. When went to order food was told kitchen was closed for 10 minutes during to a big table which was fine so ordered drinks... When went back to order was told we couldn't eat outside ... Really disappointed they couldn't not communicate this with me at the beginning when I first asked. But the actually pub inside seemed nice and clean and the food did look good ... Shame about the rest

Usually lovely staff, but went there today to get a coffee; but saw a big guy getting coffee out from the coffee bin and reusing that, it’s sad that he is scamming people that don’t know how coffee is made. Completely put me off buying g a coffee today

This is our nearest pub serving food and it’s friendly and relaxed. We always enjoy our meals which are varied and very generous .

Very poor quality food. Not just the way it was cooked, but also 'in the gutter' quality sausage and burger. Not even as good as a fairground. This is what you do. Since the 1970's. You should be good at what you do. A fried egg should not have uncooked albumen all over it, a fried tomato should not be cooked for 30 seconds. Chips should not be cooked an hour previously and left under a heat lamp so they are limp and lukewarm. For a £13.50 mixed grill, it should include QUALITY meat. It tasted horrible, it's greasy, poorly cooked, served in 3 minutes. It was a miserable experience.

Had a fantastic experience in this coffee shop. Ordered avocado on sourdough, which admittedly took a while to arrive. The place was so busy and a staff member had had to go home. Brandon and Katie serving and clearing were run off their feet. But still went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and help with requests and they did it all with a smile. I would definitely recommend.

I had a very enjoyable visit the staff was very polite

Nice looking pub. But I’m afraid it was a disappointment. Staff didn’t look like they could be bothered. It was very over priced I’m afraid. Food was nice but I thought limited menu. Not to everyone’s taste. Room was nice. But very very noisy on a night and in a morning when other people started to get up and using the shower which sounded like it was in your room not there’s. Yes I know it’s a pub and can’t help noise. But they do need to warn people when they put them above the bar area it was very loud indeed.Not to everyone’s taste if they told people then they can ask for a quiet room when booking and not above the bar area.Shutters in bedrooms need blinds as well because when it is getting light . light shines through. Cosmetically look great logically not practical.Some people want to sleep. Nice touch with fridge. I have stayed in a lot of rooms priced the same and I’m afraid this place just wasn’t up to the standards that I expected for that price. So yes very disappointed. And yes I write a lot of reviews and yes I always say what needs to be said. So things can get put right for guests in the future. Because at the end of the day they are your bread and butter. And when paying a lot of money things have to be spot on.

Went for sunday lunch, 3 had roast that was served cold , had to be returned to be reheated. One of the party opted for steak , this was a mistake , it was full of gristle , uneatable ,taken home for the dog . Would have walked out but for the fact we were with friends. Staff ere pleasant . Wont be going again .
