Got a HOT CHOCOLATE to find it was only warm I thought when advertising HOT that meant HOT

Always have a coffee on our visit to Tesco. Shame it's going.

I went for a coffee around 17:55 The staff making coffee for an other customer when staying on the queue the staff talking each other and says it’s closed can’t making coffee anymore but still open😃 the way they talk they don’t want serve coz of my colour and am Asian they wanted serve only the people they want!!!

I go there because I need to the ones that need to wish they didn't need it, good coffee tho

This is Caffè in tesco at highwood colchester is ok for a tea or coffee. Food always looks OK but seems expensive to me, but is it because we're on a budget.

Had a coffee and a ham and cheese croissant. Coffee is great, as always. Croissant was served over cooked and chewy. Shame!

Still terrible service. Long waits with no acknowledgment. Only agreed to come in again because someone else was paying.

Lovely service as always. Staff always willing to help and even bring coffees to tables when one has children to look after or elderly. Food is great and the atmosphere is calming and welcoming.

I love coffee and that’s the only reason I returned after my last experience. To be fair the quality of the coffee was good and the quality of the food looked good. The decor and cleanliness were also very good too. But now Costa are one of the cheaper places to visit, oh the irony. And even with no queue it took 3 minutes from order to my coffee being ready to collect. Someone should disrupt this whole overpriced coffee industry by. Wait for it…. Serving customers quickly and at their table. I know right. Radical.

It's a nice space to be in.....

Nice place for a basic cuppa (although no longer stock the nice choice of teas) but soooo disappointing if you have any dietary needs and want anything other than a super sugary snack. There is nothing at all savoury that is gluten/ dairy free which is a shame as would be easy to stock gf bread to go with their toast toppings. They also seem to no longer stock the less sweet granola bar which has been replaced with a sugary tasteless Bakewell bar. I usually try to only leave positive reviews but sadly H+H could really do better. On the plus side, the staff are usually lovely and it's a pleasant environment.

Absolute rip off. The price for a medium latte is £3.55. Way above anywhere I have been. Give it a miss in future.

Lovely coffee and warm baguette helpful friendly staff

Just got 2 large oat milk chai latte's, and there is very little to NO flavour. I paid over £4 each for these, which is pretty expensive. I wouldn't have minded if they tasted like a chai. I suggest that they need to check the ratios in what they are making.

On the face of it you'd think this was a decent café, but it was a bit in disarray when I visited. Slow service, and not as tidy as I would expect.

I am a vegan but there is absolutely nothing at this shop apart from one vegan muffin or a vegan meatball wrap ? If you cook meat sausage in a roll why not vegan ones as well? Or maybe soup ?

I needed a snack between jobs and thought I’ll pop in for something warm and a coffee. There were two staff behind the counter, one had her back to me as she was using the coffee machine to make a drink but the other member of staff saw me and ignored me, wandering off to the back room for a while. I guess it was probably about 30 seconds in total before I was engaged with but to be obviously ignored is not pleasant; a “be with you in just a moment, sir” would have been more than enough to keep me happy. When the wanderer returned I was greeted with a smile-free face and “what can I get you?” In a flat tone. I felt like I was putting her out. Wow. I imparted my order and was asked my name, I guess this is on autopilot as there was no one else in the queue so why it was required I don’t know. But I digress. Upon divulging my name I was ordered to “take a seat” When my order arrived at my table a short while later and I thanked the lady I did get a “you’re welcome”. The food and drink were nice but it will be a while before I return.

Just going on our visit the staff were friendly and helpful. The place was very clean as well.

This would be a decent coffee shop if you found it in the high street. As it is connected to a Tesco's, and as a supermarket cafe it is great. The selection is good, the cakes fresh and the staff very competent. The ambience is nice and you can sit indoors or outdoors. If you are nearby or shopping this is the ideal spot for a break, a coffee and a little reflection in life before heading on somewhere else.

A nice alternative to Costa and Starbucks.

They do the best lattes around! Well worth the extra cost. Staff are friendly and the shop is clean and well laid out.

Lovely atmosphere and staff, you don't realise they're connected to Tesco's inside as they've managed to decorate the place nicely and pulled up dividers.

It's a bit too fussy, as your not sure where you stand to order. Then you have sit and wait if you can, while you wait for your order, not so good if you only want a drink when they are busy.

Nice coffee. Bit pricey as always but they Don attempt to be at the cheaper end of the market in fairness.

The ginger bread man kits are thoroughly entertaining for children.

we turned up there today 30th August. there was a young lady serving there ALL ON HER OWN.she was doing a sterling job.I can't help feeling she was put on by your company, let alone the health and safety issues. bless her I hope you recompence her for keeping the place open and carrying the cafe all alone .!!!!!!!

Busy but still personal and not too noisy. Coffee selection, preparation and service very good with friendly polite staff. Were very helpful and knowledgeable about different coffees and teas available. Nice food too.

Always brilliant, it says a lot about the way a business operates when despite the odd circumstances of the world at present, you still get the same level of helpful friendly communication and service from the staff. Yes the coffee is expense, because its awesome! If you can't afford it or don't have the appreciation for the value of it please reframe from one visiting and if you can't follow step one then have the decency not to write scathing reviews or comment to the staff because in your uneducated and irrelevant opinion "it's a rip off". Why is it that in some coffee shops they cannot distinguish the difference between a cappuccino and a latte. A cappuccino has a head of foam and around a 3:1 ratio of coffe foam and milk, a latte had no head of milk and is mostly milk. The coffee also has a peculiar after taste. I won't be coming here again

Usually have the delicious Cheese Scone but as it was lunchtime we had the Cheese Toasty. Really tasty and well priced.

Delicious coffee, friendly staff, a bit noisy with families when I was there.

Incredibly slow, was sat for five minutes before they could be bothered to put the toastie I ordered in the oven! Coffee was even slower.

Had a honeycomb flat white from their winter menu and it was lovely! Lovely barista and a nice atmosphere!

Due for a refurb... waited for a bacon roll and coffee. Tables either stained or need a good clean. Could be better as not cheap.

Have not been in for 2 years and am very disappointed that they have no more vegan selections than then. Every Christmas time they say the mince pie is vegan. These days that is very poor. A dated place.

Beautiful coffee. In lovely potted cups and saucers. Lovely cakes and sandwiches ie heat up ones goats cheese. Taste amazing! The staff are really friendly and bring your orders to your table where as Costa dont. And I find Costa not too friendly nowadays. Here was lovely. Reccomend going for a cuppa after shopping definitely
