I like the food at The Bell, the service is also finding it's feet and things are on the up. As my "local" I am happy to see some lagers at a decent price as well as the San Miguel at higher price point. They also have a good range of wines which will suit most palates and prices. I look forward to seeing it grow into it's new skin. It's now a year after opening and The Bell is a well established local, and destination pub. The food is still superb and the gardens are lovely. It's a great place for a drink or a really good meal and the staff are top notch. We are lucky to have it. Any years in and it is still a top destination.

It was absolutely excellent- you enter the dining room with white cloths at lunchtime and this sets the scene for a beautifully executed meal that was served with efficiency and care. The ‘Norfolk Strawberry’dessert was a particular highlight.

Had lunch here this week. I'm not normally a fan of tapas as served up in this country, but I was tempted by the fish menu and wasn't disappointed. I particularly liked the soft shell crab and the baby squid, both dished essy to get wrong. but not here. Although the place has excellent seas views, the weather was not kind during our visit, but the food and service more than made up. We'll be back for one of their "bottomless mussels" nights. If we can get a table.

I go very often to Turkish restaurants, but this one, I was most impressed of. The staff are very attentive, nice and on point and the food … oMG … best Turkish I ever had. Bearing in mind I’m not a diner lover, I ordered land diner and bulgur, I ate it until I couldn’t. It was amazing. Bread was so nice and soft and warm, sauces were amazing and food delicious. White House wine - divine. Honestly, I don’t leave a review unless I’m impressed. But this restaurant, 10 out of 5 . It was amazing

Excellent 3 course meal including Sunday roast Two cobs of homemade bread served (with butter and a nice truffle-y butter - couldn't remember exactly what it was but it was very nice) Starters - crab & ham hock Main - roast pork & roast beef Desserts - blackberry and apple crumble & sticky banoffee pudding All the food was A*, if you want a really nice, high quality meal, this is a great place to go It would be nice to have a little more meat with the roast (especially on the pork dish) but was still ample and didn't take anything away from the meal A really lovely atmosphere and friendly staff too Seems to be the best place in the area Things to note: There is a service charge (about 10%) Can be quite hard to find anywhere to park when busy (there is a car park but is small) so we parked on the side of the road by a field, so keep in mind you might have to park elsewhere

Great food, great atmosphere! We booked last minute and we had a seat at the bar which actually added to the experience! The food was very tasty, good quality and good portions. We ordered quite a few dishes and unfortunately they did get one wrong, they bring the food out “when ready” and we weren’t sure if it was still on the way or had been brought the wrong dish, when we checked the bill it was in fact not the dish we ordered however we did not mention it as we didn’t raise it at the time due to the confusion of lots of dishes being brought out. I would ensure you make sure you get what you ordered here. They went out of their way to make us a dessert to take away as we were stuffed from the food but they looked too good not to have! Lovely cocktails, the staff are great and very friendly, it’s always busy so book in advance! I would definitely recommend and will be returning here for sure!

Consistently amazing ice cream with hundreds of fun flavours and a menu that changes daily! The queues are long on hot days and weekends, but they often have four or five people serving and the queue moves quickly. Also you can spend your queue time planning your order - but beware, some flavours sell out! By the evening a few things from the printed menu may be gone, but they keep the inside menu on the wall up to date, and even add new things throughout the day! Cups and cones are the same price but they also sell cones dipped in chocolate for a bit extra - the chocolate layer is properly thick and delicious! They do granita in summer and hot chocolate in winter, but I’m all about the gelato. I’ve tried lots of flavours over the years - they have amazing standards like their signature dark chocolate and honeycomb if you like the basics, but I’ve often been shocked to enjoy unique things like passionfruit and basil! You can have up to 3 scoops in a cone/cup, or get half-sized ‘tiny scoops’ - I always get a ‘double tiny’ for 2 flavours with the size of one scoop, it costs 40p extra but is good if you’re indecisive! Top tip, you can ask for tasters which the friendly staff are happy to give you - they can put 2 on one stick to save the sticks! Also ask what the ‘secret flavour’ is everyday - it’s also on instagram. They have an online ordering system but I like to go in the shop because the staff are really knowledgeable and can talk you through the flavours so it’s a more fun experience (and doesn’t take much longer in my opinion). The shop is open till 11pm or midnight on Saturdays so great for post-dinner ice cream. Jack’s is a favourite amongst students, tourists and locals alike - it has been great to watch the business grow over the years to 2 shops now! Try it, you won’t be disappointed!
